T.......Thank you !

When she heard the voice of the guards yelling at her , she came back to her senses and

" Are you alright ?! " asked the handsome boy .

" T....Thank you ! " said Charlotte and got back on her feet then was ready to run again but to her bad luck the coat on her right hand was stuck with his right hand .

' Oh no ! ' thought Charlotte and tried to untie the messed knot that was used  .

" This stupid coat !.........I am sorry ! Please follow me , I will compensate you ! " said Charlotte and grabbed him from his hand then took him with her .

The moment she grabbed his hand , the other guards that were hiding were about to attack but the handsome boy looked at them in a fierce way and they put their swords down

" From what they are wearing , they must be the royal guards . Why are they chasing after you ?! " asked the handsome boy .

" I will explain everything later . Now , please , just run ! " said Charlotte and the two of them ran even faster but the guards were still able to keep up with them .

" We need to lose them ! " said Charlotte .

" I know ! Follow me ! " said the handsome boy and took Charlotte's hand then the two of them ran towards the direction of a rich-looking house then entered in the middle of a dark space between two buildings .

" This way ! " said the guard and walked on the main road .

" Where did they go ?! " said the guard confused when he didn't see them .

" They must have hid somewhere ! " said the other guard .

" We better head back to our position . They didn't look dangerous and neither of them was carrying anything . " said the guard .

" You are right ! We better return to our position . I just received a text .  The entrance door seems to be blocked now because one of the truck's wheels broke . We are on duty and it is on us to help repair it . " said the other guard .

" How much will it take ?! " asked the guard .

" It will take at least five hours ! You saw how big its wheel was ." said the other guard .

" We better go back then ! " said the guard and along with the other guard , they went back to their duty place .

Charlotte looked at the road in a sneaky way and when she saw that they weren't there anymore she released a breath of relief .

' Five hours ?!.........Yes !.......She will scold me for not cleaning the horse's stables but I will be able to enjoy myself for a bit . It's been a while since I last went out !.........Thank you ! Whatever it was that caused that wheel to break . ' thought Charlotte with a smiling expression .

" Miss ?! " said the handsome boy .

" Huh ?!...... " said Charlotte confused then looked at her hand holding his .

" I....I.......I.........I am terrible sorry ! Sometimes , my.....my hand acts on its own ." said Charlotte with a blushing expression .

" Your hand acts on its own ?!......... Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!!! You are very funny miss ! " said the handsome boy with a smile . 

' He looks even more handsome when he smiles.........Gosh ! What the hell am I thinking ?! ' thought Charlotte and shake her head .

" I........ I am very sorry for dragging you like that but I had no other choice since my coat would.......would..........separate from yours and I needed to run so.......I brought you with me . I am sorry but I assure you that I am not a bad person so you can feel at ease . You didn't help a criminal .  " said Charlotte with a desperate tone trying to convince him that she wasn't a bad person and that it was a pure mistake to take him with her .

" Don't worry ! If I thought you were a bad person , I wouldn't have followed you . Plus.......what kind of criminal would trip in such a clumsy and unskilled way ?! " said the handsome boy with a smile .

' She doesn't seem to know who I am..............Interesting ! ' thought the handsome boy with a smirk .

" It was too bad , wasn't it ?! " asked Charlotte then looked at him with a serious expression .

" A bit ! " said the handsome boy .

" I need to perfect my skills then . Anyway , do you have a knife ?! " said Charlotte .

" Do you want to kill me ?! " asked the handsome boy with a smirk .

" I told you I am not a criminal . I just need a knife to cut this button off . Or do you wish for our coats to be linked together ?!........Just to be clear . It is a bit bothersome because I can't move freely and I can't take off this coat too because it is cold . " said Charlotte .

" You do have a point ! " said the handsome boy and took a pocket knife out and cut the two buttons which were tighter together tightly .

" Great ! Now that we are free , goodbye ! " said Charlotte with a smile .

" Wait ! I helped you hide from those bad guys . Don't you think that you owe me a favor ?! " said the handsome boy with a smile .

" What do you want then ?! " asked Charlotte .

Although she didn't feel the need as if she owed him , it was only logical for him to want something in return for his help .

' Good people who do good deeds without expecting anything in return have perished these days ! ' thought Charlotte with a serious expression .

" Firstly , what is your name ?! " asked the handsome boy .

" My name is Charlotte ! And........how should I address you , sir ?! " said Charlotte looking at him carefully .

' Her speech is often formal . She must be the daughter of an aristocrat but..........her hands look like that of a worker . Could it be that her family went bankrupt ?! ' thought the handsome boy while looking at her .

" My name is Diego . It's a pleasure to meet you Charlotte . " said Diego with a smile .

" The same for me Diego ! So , what do I have to do to return the favor , Diego ?! " said Charlotte .

" As you may have noticed , I am a tourist here and maybe you can show me to some nice place . I am hungry and want to drink something warm . " said Diego with a polite tone and smile .

' Looking at him , he is definitely a traveler . He doesn't look like he comes from here and his accent is a bit different too...........He looks weird but I can't say really say if he is a good or a bad person . Sure he did help me but , I can't trust him that easily just because of this .  ' thought Charlotte with a serious expression .

" I don't know a lot of places myself . " said Charlotte with a thinking expression .

" Don't you live here Charlotte ?! " asked Diego surprised .

" I live here but I work at the castle and I rarely get out from there . I only know two or three places..........I don't know if it can be of any help . What do you wanna eat ?! " said Charlotte with a serious expression .

" I want to eat some pizza . " said Diego .

" Fine ! That's easy ! I know a very good place when they prepare an extremely delicious pizza . " said Charlotte with a smile .

' I can go and visit aunty too in this case . I can also return his favor .  Killing a bird with two stones . ' thought Charlotte with a smile and walked forward .

The guards that kept hiding appeared again and looked at Diego . Diego moved his hand and told them to retire and follow him from afar . He followed Charlotte and the two of them walked for a bit until they arrived at the shop that Charlotte mentioned . Diego tried to learn more about her on the way but Charlotte didn't speak much about herself . When they arrived at the shop Diego saw that it was a simple shop for commoners mostly .

" What's wrong ?! " asked Charlotte when she saw him looking at the fast food .

" No.......Nothing ! " said Diego still looking at the shop .

' It looks so simple ! So different from all those fancy places I have visited . There's not even a waiter that parks your car nor a red carpet . This must be one of those cheap food shops for commoners . ' thought Diego .

' What's wrong with him ?!  ' thought Charlotte who found him weird .

" We better enter . It's so cold out here ! " said Charlotte and entered inside the shop and Diego followed her .

" Oh my ! Look who's here ! My sweet Charlotte ! It's been forever since the last time you came .  " said a middle-aged woman with a smile .

" Aunt Nana , is great to see you again ! I missed you ! " said Charlotte with a smile .

Charlotte went towards aunt Nana and hugged her tightly and so did aunt Nana . She looked at Charlotte with a smile then noticed that there was someone else with her .

" Who is he ?! " asked aunt Nana .

" This is a friend of mine . " said Charlotte .

" Every friend of yours is mine too sweetie ! Hello ! " said aunt Nana .

" Hello , madam ! My name is Diego ! " said Diego and shook hands with her .

" Oh , my ! How handsome you are ! Is he your boyfriend ?! " said aunt Nana and looked at Charlotte .

" Aunt Nana what are you talking about ?! " said Charlotte with her cheeks blushing .
