He was the dinner host, and I was the guest.

But we just got served, both of us.

It took a nanosecond for realization to kick into his face, and in a moment as swift as a lightening bolt, the watch was unclasped from my wrist and sent to the floors.

For the second time tonight, something was taken from my hand and left in pieces on the floor.

However, the emotion digging into my chest wasn't guilt, and my eyes were the shape of circles,

Fear.

Whoever this person was, wasn't just aware of our itinerary anymore, but had a way of getting into our private places.

And I wasn't the only one frustrated at the fact that they seemed invincible.

Hell, even his shadows, cast in different parts of the expansive living room appeared angrier, as though pumped by the rage in his system.
