Alone like this, with nothing to distract me, the full horror of my situation came crashing back down. I’m trapped with a criminal. Who’s going to come to my rescue?

I tried to be positive and think of nothing but comforting thoughts so that I don’t go crazy. Maybe Steve would come for me or at least highlight the police soon. If he doesn't, then very soon, my father would get worried enough to look for me too. Hannah ought to be looking for me, too. Celia would have told them about me. Oh no, that’s the worst...

If my father finds out that Pietro has me, he won’t bother looking for me. He’ll assume I’m safe with him. So, everybody is going to go on with their lives like my absence means nothing. Nobody is going to be worried enough to challenge Pietro? A wail of agony escaped my lips.

I’ll be able to escape somehow. I may not know just how, yet. But it's best to keep my hopes up.

“You are a piece of shit, Pietro!” I yelled, sitting up on the mattress and looking around to find

Pietro dripped shampoo into my hair and lathered it up. His fingers expertly massaged my scalp, and I closed my eyes and surrendered to the beautiful sensation. Then he rinsed it off and repeated the process with the conditioner. He took his time, his attention shockingly tender. When he rinsed the conditioner off and slid a soapy cloth between my legs, I flinched, but forced myself to relax. I felt warm pleasure flowing through my body with each stroke of the cloth. He slid it through the folds, caressing me with it, and my breathing sped up. It felt so good that, for a moment, I forgot what he did to me. Then I closed my eyes again and firmly forced myself to remember that he was the enemy, and every submission he forced on me took away some of my power. But it was hard to concentrate on that when my whole body was melting and my legs were spreading of their own will, welcoming the firm rubbing motion across my slit. Waves of pleasure flowed through my body with each stroke

PIETRO'S POV.I spent the vast majority of the day going over a couple of paper works with Ardo. And when finally got them sorted, I leaned back in my office chair, resting my head. "So, how is married life treating you?" Ardo asked, pushing a glass of dirty martini my way. "I'm new to this shit. But I must say, Aria is a handful, and she's going to drive me crazy.""In a good way or..." He trailed."I must develop blue balls soon if she doesn't fucking calm down." I let out and Edoardo burst into laughter. "Welcome to the faithful and married club, bro." He teased."Thank you." I smiled heartily. "I wouldn't have it any other way."Ardo shook his head mockingly like he was feeling sorry for me. Well, I wasn't feeling sorry for myself. I chose this life myself. I went across countries for this life and I will enjoy the hell out of it.Carlo walked into my office just as Ardo slid his phone across the table toward me. "Looks familiar?

The next morning, Melody came to my cell and carried out the same routine with my cuffs before leading me upstairs. The previous day was hell for me. After breakfast, I was brought back to my depressing cell where Melody brought me lunch and dinner. I was bored, sad, and lonely. I'd thought Pietro would let me out of my depressing cell for a bit at dinner maybe. But was sad when dinner was brought in by Melody. As we shut the door to my cell behind me, I tried to imagine Pietro giving Melody orders about me. "Take Aria down to her rusty-smelling cell and chain her legs to the floor. I don't want to have dinner with her tonight. So make sure to serve her lunch and dinner in her depressing cell." That had to be the kind of instructions he gives her and she does exactly as she's told, like the wicked, emotionless Jezebel she is. How can a grown-ass woman like her not have a mind of her own? That's shitty and messed up. When my blindfold was taken off, Pietro was standing beside me. He

PIETRO'S POV . The journey to Edoardo's condo didn't take too long. I was well aware of why Aria had her eyes glued on the road all through the journey. She was take note of landmarks and putting even the tiniest signs into memory for what? For when she would attempt escaping again? She must be dreaming if she ever thought I would let her escape from me. As I watched my little treasure, I regretted being so forceful with her before now. I was... what is the right word to use? I was tense. Scared to lose her? Maybe yes. I shut my eyes briefly and when I opened them again, I was still marveled at Aria's beauty. This woman is doing things to me, things that I don't dare put into words. So, what's the plan now? I had plans before I married her. Plans to make her and her family pay for the atrocities her father committed regarding my family. But those plans don't seem to make sense to me anymore. I'd planned on humiliating Roberto Kostas and the first point was to gradually isola

ARIA’S POV.If Pietro thought his stupid, cliched sermon would change my mind about escaping him, then he must be joking. All through our journey to his brother's home, I’d kept note of the bus stops, the signs, the landmarks. And when we arrived here, the first thing I noticed was the absence of guards. There was just his brother and his housekeeper. Maybe there were other staff around, staff like the gardener since the garden was amazing. When he left with Pietro, I had to find a way out of the house. The front door would have Pietro’s driver stationed there. So, I went through the route I saw the housekeeper coming from.It led to a field that stretched through a large acre of land. It was colder than I thought it would be outside. I was wearing a simple silk-flared dress that stopped at my knees. As I ran through the field, I kept praying that Pietro wouldn’t catch me before I got to the picket fence in front. I couldn’t believe my luck; how could his brother put an enormous gate

He was punishing me, and he was very angry about that. In seconds, I passed out, and when I woke up, I was still on the rocky floor and Pietro was still on me, staring at me with fierce anger. I guess I fainted and woke up almost immediately. Pietro got me up above my hips and propped my knees up. The stones dug into my knees, but he didn’t even pause at the pathetic sounds I made. I felt the cold air in my cunt and I found myself responding to the conditioning. I ground myself against him, hoping for a release even while I was in the face of danger. “I’m relieved, knowing that at least you want me to fuck you, Amore. If that’s the bribe you’re offering, I’ll take it. But that won’t do for your punishment.”His voice sounded much calmer that it almost broke me. At first, I was so relieved that I almost cried, but then his words sank in. He’s going to punish me. Another punishment. His finger probed my tight ass, and I shivered. The finger dipped inside, gentl

  • The Don's Runaway Bride   34. Just getting Started

PIETRO'S POV . I've been tolerant as much as I could manage. I've bent some of my rules, rearranged my plans, and put a pause on a couple of things just because of Aria. But seeing her trying to run from me today pulled out the actual beast in me. Unfortunately, when the beast is out, it takes a lot to satiate it and Aria would pay the price for that. She’s mine. The more she keeps trying to run, the more I'm convinced she's yet to understand that I own her, all of her. And as such, she should want nothing but me. We pulled up in front of the house. The journey back home was done in absolute silence. I was raging while she shrunk very close to the car door, moving away from me. As Angelo pulled the car over, Aria was the first to get down and she headed straight to the house. Melody came to the car to check if we came back with bags she would need to take inside. Just as I got down from the car. I saw Aria running to the front door. She pulled it open and shut it hurriedly. Ang

"You're a beast." Aria spat out. I ignored her. She was only stating a known fact, not something new. "How many rules have you broken today?" I asked her and she grunted, pissing me off even more. When I walked back to her, I had an open box filled with a couple of unbelievable torture equipment. I dropped the box behind her only because I wanted her imagination to run wild, and I wanted her to experience terror. Then I walked over to the racks of whips and considered my choices. Taking as much time as I wanted. I snatched an electro-whip from the rack. Lust vibrated through me as I stalked toward my captured prey. I pulled a large, soft leather strap over her belly and pulled it gently to be sure of its reliability. Then I tapped on one of the switches on the bondage chair. The chair rotated and turned her around with strapped legs, wrists, and stomach, facing down, and her bare back and ass, visible in the two openings carved to fit those parts of her body. She didn't make a sing

He was expecting me to just hand my phone to him. I was aware of what would happen to me if I refused to give him the phone. But as shameful as it may sound, I wanted that. I’ve been craving it ever since Steve took me away from him. To put my want in motion, I shot out of my seat, my purse firmly clutched in my hand, I started heading toward the restrooms in the back. He chased after me and caught me halfway down. My purse fell to the ground, and I let out a false cry. He captured my wrists in one hand and easily tied them together with his necktie. Then he took out my cell phone and dropped it on the floor, squashing it several times and shattering it in the process. "You idiot. I bought that phone barely three weeks ago." I howled. "Oh so sad," He faked out. "Do you want to cry now?" Goddammit, I was wet for this man. Even his cruel words turned me on so fucking much. I'm damaged!Suddenly, he bent my arms painfully and steered me down to a co

I shook my head. "No. I can’t live like this, Pietro. You need to let me out of this car, now. You need to let me live my life."I grabbed at the door handle, but of course, it was locked. I'm trying to build up enough defense to shield us for the time being, until we track Steve down.""Kidnapping me again isn't the solution." I reasoned."I'm not kidnapping you, Amore. I let you go because I knew you needed that time away. Both of us do. Now I've realized my mistakes and I'm going to right all my wrongs. It's a promise."A wave of ice crashed over me. The night was close to the worse ones I always had in that shitty cell in Pietro's home. I barely slept all through. I kept waking up, checking the windows and the doors for any sign of a break-in.Finally, it was morning and I barely slept up to an hour. Once Celia left to check her new space and made me promise to go with her to see the space tomorrow, I pulled on bootcut jeans and a knitted top. And pushed Pietro's ring into my finger to help scare away randy men. I'd removed it when I got to the airport in Queensland. Then I tucked my taser and pepper spray in my purse, and managed to fit in three pocket knives: one in my purse, the second inside my boot, and the third was clutched together with my purse since it was customized to look like a cute key holder. With shaking hands, I scribbled a note for Celia and dropped about ten thousand dollars for her beside the note. I told her how grateful I was for everything she’d done for me and promised that I'd be back soon and I was onl

I almost drowned, almost! But Max held me up and let out a silly crackle of laughter that I was forced to join him while scanning my eyes around, trying not to look too obvious. I saw nothing; no one seemed out of place. I guess I didn't have the capacity to decipher these sorts of things. After a while, I asked, "Did Pietro send you?" He smiled, so sweet, so calm like we were two innocent kids with absolutely nothing to worry about. "Angelo sent me." He replied."What?" I mouthed. "That's crazy." He nodded in agreement. "But why? How? I mean..." I paused. "All of this seems like a coincidence. You own a grocery store, and you just opened a lovely restaurant on Bristen.""Your friend, we've been keeping an eye on her." That was all he said."Why?" I repeated."My family just struck a business deal with Pietro Eppolito." He replied, directing me on how to stabilize my floating technique. "It's a long story and time's short. I'm going to call out a number for you and you have to do wel

Dressed in a simple sundress, myself, Celia and a couple of the friends she'd made overtime were seated at a table for six. Still not completely ready to be seen, I'd settled for the barest minimum; a simple black tweed dress and black flats. I had no jewelry or makeup on, and my hair was pulled in a not-so-complimentary ponytail. I wanted to be invisible. It was the first time I’d actually been out to socialize with people since I escaped Steve and Pietro... Almost an hour later, we were working our way through desert while listening to cool music. I had started relaxing when I suddenly felt a strange prickle of danger. I scanned the room, looking for Pietro, Giancarlo, Steve, or any figure that could suggest danger. I didn't see any. The host came over to greet us and my chocolate cake got stuck somewhere in my throat. It was the guy that followed me from the grocery store a couple of days ago. The very one that couldn't just let me be. He flashed a sweet smile my way. "Hi, st

  • The Don's Runaway Bride   64. The Monster In My Head

ARIA'S POV . Over the next couple of days, I found myself moving in a sort of haze. Celia was making inquiries about the area and the possibility of starting up a small beauty brand. The plan was to start up small and save the rest of the money for rainy days. Each time I tried to offer her a large chunk of the cash I had on me, she would blatantly reject it. So, I went ahead to stock up the house with groceries and got a new phone since I discarded the burner phone Pietro gave me. The phone didn't leave the airport with me. I flushed it down one of the toilets at the airport. My life over the past couple of days was to wake up, bathe, eat, and browse the internet for notable schools and some of their openings that would allow me to study online and still bag a good certificate. My body used the opportunity to heal a little more every day. I even put some weight back on. I watched TV, exercised, and read books every single day. On days when she's not meeting up with a business

PIETRO'S POV . "You let her leave, why?" Edoardo asked me. I shrugged, "I'm trying to be better. I can't keep her against her will. However, I'm keeping an eye on her. She's safe." I replied. "You're sure that's the right thing to do?" He asked, giving me that quizzical stare that got me instantly pissed. "Are you going to keep asking about my wife or would you at least ask why I sent for you?" I shot at him. "Goddammit, Pietro. What's eating you up?" I hissed and looked at the window, seeking to direct my gaze anywhere else but at him. "Where the fuck is Carlo?" I asked him. "He's making sure the last of the hostages we released from Steve Amati's warehouse get to their homes in one piece. Why did you send for me though? I've made no progress with Amati's whereabouts if that's your reason for sending for me." I shook my head. "That's not all," I told him. "Roberto Kostas..." I paused. Snagging an almost empty glass of martini on my home office table, I gulped it do

ARIA'S POV.When I arrived with my luggage, Celia was waiting for me at the airport premises. It had been almost four months since I set my eyes on her, and she looked way thinner but still very much pretty. As she drove us into a small brick apartment, I blinked at the simplicity and comfort of the neighborhood. "I can't believe you'll ever choose to live in a country home," I told her.She smiled. "Desperate times, Aria."We stepped down from the car and I pulled out my box from the back seat. "But you said Zachary signed the papers and he didn't make a fuss. So why leave Zurich?""To start a new life." She replied. "I'd always planned to move to another City or county after the divorce. Also, I ran into someone that made my move, quicker"She said, but paused, "I ran into someone from my past.""Who?""Giuseppe. Her head rested on my shoulder, and she sobbed until my shirt became damp with her tears. "My God, I'm a complete mess. And it's all because of you." She sobbed. "What have you done to me? I can’t stop thinking about you. I hate it. You’ve invaded my mind, and I can’t get rid of you." Beautiful warmth spread through me. I'd been praying so hard that she still felt something for me. Something, anything at all. And hearing her say the words had me riling with excitement. "You’ll come home with me, Amore. We’ll make this work, together." She sat up and moved away from me, but I held onto her arm. "I'm not going back to that house with you. No." Her voice was hoarse. "I'm going on my ow
