MAE

Saying I was embarrassed would be the understatement of the century.

I really wanted to miss that dinner, but I knew if Owen really wanted me to come, he would make sure I was there even if it meant I had to be carried there, kicking and screaming.

Okay, and the part I feared most was Owen walking in here and deciding to dress me up for the event. I would not even put that past him. I could not even put anything past him right now.

I sighed, going through the box… I even got a makeup pack. How was he even sure I could do any makeup? Was there any rule book that stated that a painter must know how to do some makeup?

I was good, but I did not do makeup as well as I painted.

After around 20 minutes of doing some light makeup, I stared at myself in the mirror, barely recognizing the girl looking back. It got even better when I got into the dress.

The dress Owen sent was stunning, no doubt about that. It was a deep maroon red dress that hugged my figure without feeling too tight, the

OWENI knew the look in her eyes—she was trying to figure me out. People did that a lot, I just did not know how to tell them that the answer was definitely not in my eyes.I smirked lazily, trying to kill the tension. Maybe I was interested in Mae Rivera, but she was right. I could have just fucked her and gotten this over with a long time ago if I wanted. I had a better plan though. She had taken a break now, but I knew Mae was in my club for a reason bigger than paying off her father's debt. She was looking for something or someone. I could monitor her closely and get someone to follow her around too, but I could also get in her good graces, protect her, fuck her when I wanted, get the information I needed.. just to throw her out when I felt like it.She tapped the table, and my attention returned to her beautiful face. No exaggeration, she was fucking gorgeous, this woman. Her skin was perfect and she did not even use those expensive lotions that the other women I hung out with us

MAEI begged to go back to Casa Eleganza after we were done with the dinner, and Owen hesitated, but finally promised me that he would take me back soon. Two days later, I was on my way to Casa Eleganza. Owen dropped me off in front of the building. I made to open the door after looking around frantically to confirm that no one would catch me out here in his car. I was not ready for the side talks so soon. Owen grabbed my arm before I could leave, stopping me. I spun around, "Owen, I have to go… I mean… Sir Owen…" I looked around now to see if anyone had magically caught that.He laughed, "You do not have to act like you respect me. We are the only ones here."I spun back around to him, "What do you want? I have to go in now…""A kiss."I stared at him like he had gone out of his mind. But he kept staring at me with a straight face, serious as fuck. My cunt was shedding tears at the demand—maybe even before the demand but I still shook my head regardless and scoffed, "I cannot kiss

OWEN"You asked to spare the girl's life. Same girl who wants to help her father bring you down. Here." Marco slammed his phone down on my office table for me to see and I just held his gaze for a couple of minutes before picking up the phone and regarding the screen.I unpaused the video and watched closely as Mae searched around, then took out her phone to make a call. She placed her phone against her ear,"Hello, Liam? Can you find out what's up with my dad? I think he made a deal with the Castellenos." My jaw clenched at the statement but other than that, I showed no other reaction. "He told you? I would have helped but…" She trailed off and then listened to the other person on the phone. Then with a nod he obviously could not see, she carried on, "Dad looked really scared. I want to make sure he is safe. I can't exactly do what dad is asking of me… single handedly take him down, as he is always surrounded with a lot of security, but I can do something else…"She paused and look

MAE I wasn’t expecting to see dad again so soon, but then there he was outside the building, right where one of the girls had told me he would be. Everyone had already started looking at me suspiciously.I was here to tell him to never come back here again if he valued his life, but then his face lit up as I walked in, and for a second, my anger completely vanished and I smiled back. But that moment of warmth didn’t last. I could see the strain in his eyes, the tension in his shoulders. Dad wasn’t here for a father-daughter chat. “Mae,” he said, his voice low and urgent, “I need your help.” I dropped my bag on the floor and crossed my arms, looking around, satisfied when I saw that the coast was clear. “If it is the same thing like last time… helping you bring down my boss or whatever… it's a no." He stood, pacing a little, rubbing the back of his neck. “I’m in a tight spot. I need some money—just a bit—to cover rent.” I frowned. “Rent? You’re staying somewhere else? Since wh

MAE"The boss wants to see you." It was the first thing I heard when I walked back into Casa Eleganza.Scar was staring at me with a disappointed expression and I just clocked right away that they had found out about what dad was doing. My heart caught in my throat as I moved towards Owen's office. The guards stared at me quizzically as I walked towards them, and said nothing when I knocked on the door and went in.Owen sat behind his desk with a cigar in hand, wearing just a blank singlet that displayed his sexy tattoos and toned body.He took off the glasses he had been wearing and set his laptop aside. Fuck, he looked so serious, I was not going to escape his wrath at all, from the look of things."Hi." I muttered, my voice shaky. He said nothing, getting up from his seat and walking towards me. I started walking back at once until my back was against the wall. He got in front of me and blew the smoke from the death stick in his hand over my face. I started a coughing fit right a

OWENAfter I saved her father's life, Mae had the audacity to start avoiding me, even missing some of her performances so I would not catch her at the club.Did she even realize that I could get her in my room with one single call?I let her play her games, let her avoid me to her heart's content until I was ready for her."She'll be performing tonight at the club?" I questioned, I waited until the club was packed, the lights dimmed, and the crowd rowdy enough to make sure she did not notice me before I needed her to.She stepped onto the stage, her body wrapped in something tight and shimmering, the kind of outfit designed to grab attention. The crowd went wild as the music started, but my eyes were only on her.Her hips moved with precision, her head held high, like she hadn’t spent days hiding from me. Like she hadn’t made a deal that she was trying so hard to forget. I leaned back in my seat, swirling the whiskey in my glass as I watched her. The way she danced was mesmerizing,

MAEI could still feel the heat of his kiss on my lips, the weight of his words hanging between us. Every nerve in my body was on edge, every ounce of self-control I had left trembling under his touch. Owen stood there, his gaze heavy and unrelenting, daring me to fight him, to resist. But I knew better than to push too far.He was a mafia boss, the man who held my father’s life—and mine—in his hands. Yet, as much as I wanted to hate him, the fire in his eyes and the way his hands claimed me made it impossible to ignore the pull between us. It was wrong, twisted even, but I couldn’t stop myself. He had lifted me onto the vanity like I was something fragile, something that mattered. It threw me off balance because Owen wasn’t gentle. He was cold, calculated, and cruel. He showed that in the way his fingers pounded into me though. But the way he looked at me now felt different, almost like he needed this as much as I did.And God, I needed it so much more than I could ever dare to admi

MAE"Oh shit, that's not… I thought I…" My voice trailed off, as I got even more and more confused. When I looked back up into Owen's eyes, I could not quite place the emotion I saw in there, but it made me look away, my cheeks burning."Why are you a bloody virgin, Mia Cara?" He whispered, sounding pained, to put it lightly."I'm not…" I answered, truthfully. Kind of, though. He gritted his teeth, "You had blood running down your thighs. What is it then? You're on your monthly cycle?"I shook my head no."I… I do not know what happened, I swear I thought it was gone. I felt pain when I did it…" It was going to sound stupid, he was not supposed to know what I had thought had broken my hymen. He was still really hard and big, so before he could ask any other question, I swallowed and gripped his cock, holding his gaze as I guided him back into my pussy. He gripped my waist in return, then whispered, "You will not be getting a bed of some special night because it is your first time, I w

MAE “What the fuck is she doing here? I thought we were getting rid of her as soon as the job was done,” Amelia said, flopping onto the couch and crossing her legs.I didn’t know whether to be surprised or confused. I knew they were working together, but seeing her here so boldly, casually glaring at me, made the situation even more shocking.“We need her,” Joan Castellanos said.“For what?” she scoffed, rolling her eyes. “And why the hell did you kill Owen Powers? Wasn’t the plan for me to marry him first?”Joan leaned back in his chair. “You almost sound jealous that I killed your little boyfriend.”Amelia scoffed in surprise, rolling her eyes again, a habit at this point. “Oh, don’t be ridiculous, honey.” She stood from the couch and walked over to Joan. “Owen Powers stopped mattering to me the moment he humiliated me years ago, telling everyone he wouldn’t marry me even though he knew I loved him. You know i have always wanted revenge.” She placed a hand on Joan’s shoulder, kissi

MAEI stared at him, surprise spreading across my face. What the hell is going on?My eyes shifted back to Joan Castellanos. A million questions ran through my mind, but I couldn’t even begin to voice them. My face, however, said it all.How the hell did they capture Owen’s powers in just a few days? If it was that easy, all his other enemies would have taken him down long ago.“Mae…” Owen called my name, his face filled with shock. But I didn’t know how to respond. I had no idea what to say.“Bring him closer,” Joan Castellanos ordered. His men dragged Owen to the bridge while Joan signaled for me to follow. We all stood at the edge, water rushing below us. Owen stared at me, still in shock.“They told me you were kidnapped. Said they would only let you go if I came by myself…” He let out a bitter scoff. “But you don’t look kidnapped to me.” His words made me gulp.So that is how Joan Castellanos got him here. MAEI was sinking. Deeper and deeper. No way out, no one coming to save me.Drowning wasn’t how I planned to die, but here I was, getting dragged to the bottom like dead weight. Stupid move, jumping in when I knew damn well I couldn’t swim. I never even learned. My vision blurred, my body needed oxygen. Just when I thought it was over, when I was about to let the darkness take me, a strong hand grabbed me.Next thing I knew, I was already on the surface of the water, gasping like my life depended on it. Because it did. I was able to breathe again, but it still wasn’t enough. I wanted more. Needed more."You are fine. Breathe," a rough voice ordered.I coughed, water choking me as I tried to calm myself even though that was impossible, I was still in water!. "I don’t swim," I rasped. "Never have.""Yeah?" Joan Castellanos said, his arms around my waist. "Good thing I do."With one arm locked around me, he swam effortlessly, swimming through the water like it was nothing. I let him. Be

MAE “Oh my God…” I tried to keep my cool, but the surprise was too much. I glanced around, before my eyes went back to Joan Castellanos. “What the hell are you doing here?”“Can’t a man take a little break?” His voice was calm, like he didn’t have a care in the world. “Where better than the city of peace for a vacation?”So, this is where Mr. Joan decided to go on a vacation? Interesting. But why here? And why at the same damn time as Owen Powers? Did he know the guy would be here, or was this just a coincidence?“But what if…?” I hesitated. “What if Owen Powers, or one of his goons, especially Marco, sees us dancing? That is gonna stir up trouble. Marco’s been watching me like a hawk.”He shrugged, his calm demeanor never leaving. “You could barely recognize me behind this mask. Relax, nothing to worry about.”I narrowed my eyes at him, still feeling very uncomfortable and unsure. “So, about this dress…” he gestured to the outfit, glancing down at it. “Owen Powers buy it for you?”

MAE I ran a hand through my hair, staring down at my suitcases like they held some kind of hidden message. What the hell was Owen planning? A surprise, he said. Yeah, well, surprises in my world usually meant trouble. And the last thing I needed was to walk into something I wasn’t prepared for.I sighed, pushing those thoughts aside as I unzipped one of the suitcase. My fingers touched a nice fabric, and I pulled out a black dress, elegant, vintage and dangerous in the way only real power looked. I couldn’t help but smile looking at it. If Owen picked this out, I had to admit, the guy had good taste.I checked the time. I was late, I needed to move fast.I slipped into the dress, added some makeup, and fastened the diamond jewelry that came with the dress. Were these real diamonds? Knowing Owen, they probably were.By the time I was done, I barely recognized myself. The dress hugged every curve, the diamonds caught the light just right, and for a second, I almost forgot about the me

MAEI sat into the seat at the far back, keeping my head low. Out of sight, out of mind, that was the plan.Leaning against the headrest, I ready to shut out the noise and the unwanted company on this damn trip. But, of course, peace was too much to ask for.I felt movement in the seat beside me. I didn’t have to look to know who it was. I could already feel him, the constant annoyance coming off him like a damn furnace."You..." My voice was filled with slight surprise as my eyes focused on Marco. Of all people to sit next to me.He leaned back, completely at ease, like he hadn’t just ruined my attempt of being alone. "Relax. I am not thrilled about sitting next to you either, but the boss wants me here." He shot me a glance, then smirked. "So let us do each other a favor, pretend I don’t exist."Like that was possible. Marco didn’t just exist, he loomed. His hatred for me was too powerful , the kind I couldn’t ignore, no matter how badly I wanted to. And the way he looked at me?

MAEI was pissed. The kind of pissed that made my blood run hot and my patience run thin. Why the fuck couldn’t he just stay out of my way? Owen had a habit of showing up when I least needed him, always pushing, always getting under my skin. And the worst part? He fucking loved it.It didn’t matter if I was on edge, if I was barely holding it together. As long as he got what he wanted, nothing else existed. And to top it all off, the jerk didn’t even see me as anything more than his favorite little plaything.Fucking prick.I reached into my bag, searching for my room key, but it wasn’t there. I knocked on the door, but my roommate wasn’t around. Maybe I should call Eli, I just have left the key inside. That’s when it hit me.My phone.Where the fuck was my phone? My stomach dropped as soon as I realised. Owen’s car. I left it in his damn car. This was bad. Real bad.If he got his hands on it, if he saw something he shouldn’t—I didn’t waste another second. Not because she told me to, because I was already one second away from snapping. I turned to face her, and there she was, furious, her arms crossed, her eyes burning with accusation.“What do you think you are doing?” she demanded, like she had any control over me.I smirked, but I didn’t answer. I let her feel the weight of my silence, let it get under her skin.“My father gave us an exclusive invite to one of the most private islands for some alone time, and you thought it was a good idea to bring your little bitch along?”She was trying to provoke me, but I wasn’t that easy to shake. His hold on my waist tightens, pulling me flush against him, no space, no air, just heat. His body is solid, hard muscle pressing into mine, and I can already feel just how much he wants this. Wants me.His tongue slides into my mouth, taking control, demanding submission. I give as good as I get, but he is relentless, dominating every inch of me, making it clear, he is not here to play. His hands roam, sliding down my back, gripping my thigh as he pins me against the wall. A sharp inhale escapes me, and he smirks against my lips like he just won a battle I didn’t even know we were fighting. This is dangerous. This is reckless. And still, I don’t stop
