Chapter 20 My wife

“Asher,apologize to her right now.”Eugene ordered.

He turned back his gaze to Leah,she was drunk so he needed to keep a close eye on her.

He tried to tell himself that he was only doing this because that was how one should behave when one sees a drunk woman.

He should protect her rather than think of taking advantage of her.

Eugene stared straight at her,not that keeping his eyes on her face was doing much work but it was a lesser temptation than looking at her from head to toe.

“I didn’t do anything wrong to this lady,Eugene.She…she came up to this table and I thought she wanted to join us for a drink so I offered her one but instead of drinking it,she splashed it on my face!She’s a psychopath.”

“Don’t call her that,you punk!”Eugene barked.

“Do you even know this woman?Why are you speaking as if you know her?!”

“She’s my wife!”Eugene announced.

When Eugene saw how shocked everyone around him looked,he quickly corrected himself.

“She’s my…ex-wife.”

That part shocked Asher even more.
