Lucian’s POV

I could tell from her inability to stand still that she was drunk, and totally uneasy, which could be justified, but Ella didn’t take it that way, she cried all the way till I carried her to her tent.

“There there, calm down” I said while patting her back, she didn’t want me to place her on the bed, so she held on tight, unwilling to let go, a sigh escaped my lips, I didn’t sign up for this, but I had to, I had promised Selene I was going to coax her.

“Your mom didn’t mean to yell at you Princess, she’s not feeling too good, don’t worry, you will be fine, don’t be sad” I had no experience with children, and everything I did felt like it was mistake, but somehow this mistake of mine happen to soften her heart, and I felt her body calm in my embrace, her loud cry turned to a muffled whimper, then a series of hiccup.
