Anita
I woke up to my alarm for work. I'm dreading going in tonight. I just confirmed I'm pregnant, I'm dizzy and nauseated. Another reason I dread going to work tonight is because of my boss. He's been a real asshole lately and threatening to stick Mackenzie on him has done no justice.I groan, reaching over to shut off the annoying blaring beeping from my alarm clock. Yes, I still use an old fashioned alarm clock and not my cell phone. I feel someone else hitting the button from behind me and realized it was Mackenzie. She kisses my temple and I relax against her. "Did you want to work tonight," she asks in a soothing whisper, caressing my stomach.I look at her over my shoulder as tears fill my eyes and she kisses my forehead. She gives me a light smile and says with understanding, "Your parents and I will be there if he tries anything okay?"I let out a relieved breath and she gives me a kiss. She holds up two bands that had this little plastic ball on the inside of each one. I realize they were motion sickness bands and she helps me put them on my wrists. "Your mother said they help with nausea," she says in a soothing whisper and I give her a kiss."Thank you," I say quietly and together we got out of bed.We enter the kitchen and the smell of chicken noodle soup hits my nose instantly. I close my eyes and breathe in the delicious smell of the homemade soup. "It was my mother's recipe," Mackenzie says quietly and I look up at her. "She made it for me when I was sick as a kid. I was hoping it would help you.""Thank you, it smells delicious," I say with a smile as we sit at the table. My phone rings my boss's ringtone, it's an eery tune so I know it's him. I groan, pushing the phone away from me and start eating the soup. As soon as the ringing stop it starts again. Mackenzie snatches it as I reach out for it and answers it on speaker. "Where the hell are you Anita? You're...""My shift doesn't start until nine, it's only seven," I say quietly as a wave of nausea hits me from the stress of talking to him."I asked you yesterday to come in early because we are short staffed. You're one of the best I have Anita. I know I'm hard on you, but I really need you tonight, please," he says in a sincere tone."Can I finish my dinner first, please? I haven't been feeling well and I discovered why this morning," I say with a smile as Mackenzie caresses my stomach."Are you okay to work tonight," he asks with concern."Yeah, I'll be okay, thanks for asking Mr. Jones," I say with a breath of relief."If you start to feel unwell to work just let me know," he says and ends the call.Mackenzie stares at my phone confused, to be honest we all were confused. Mr. Jones has always treated me unfairly. Why would he suddenly care about my well-being?My face is turned to meet a pair of crimson eyes. Ones that usually hold anger, now hold concern. I've come to notice that when she gets emotional and it involves me or her mother, she shifts to her vampire form. I watch as tears roll down her cheeks and I wipe them away. She takes me in a sudden kiss and I gasp against her plump lips. It becomes slow and passionate, rending me breathless.I slip my tongue between her fangs, careful not to cut my tunge and draw blood. Mackenzie freezes and shifts back mid kiss. I pull back looking at her with disappointment. I let out a sigh and go get ready for work seeing that my bowl of soup is empty and don't remember eating it. Was I that lost in thought?"Sweetheart," my mother asks with concern as she enters my closet, where I was picking a clean uniform for work. I look at her with tears in my eyes and she takes me in her arms. "What's upsetting you?"I shrug my shoulders not really knowing what was upsetting me. I was fine until Mackenzie stopped kissing me with her fangs. Does she not trust me? "Did you ever get like this pregnant with me," I ask in a choked whisper."It gets better sweetie," she says in a soothing tone, rubbing my back in comfort.I shutter a calming breath, she kisses my forehead and leaves so I can can change for work. I was in the middle of changing my shirt when I felt Mackenzie hug at my bare back, caressing my stomach. "I'm sorry," she says quietly and I lean against her chest. "I was afraid of knicking your tongue and the blood...""Did you not trust me to keep kissing you like that? Do you even trust me," I ask in a wavering whisper as tears roll down my cheeks."I'm scared Anita, it not about not trusting you, because I do. I don't trust myself and that's what scares me. I'm scared of taking it too far with you in this monstrous form," she chokes quietly and I turn in her arms. She was back in her vampire form and I push her against the wall of my closet, suddenly aroused by her presence. I kiss her hungrily, my tongue slipping in and out of her fangs. She keeps her hands on my waist, leaving me in control. Our kiss is broken by a knock at the door and I step back from her.I grab my work shirt, slipping it on as I walk passed my parents outside my bedroom door. My breaths were ragged from that kiss and if I don't leave for work now, I'll never make it there. I waited by the door, taking cleansing breaths to calm my hormones in overdrive. The three of them look at me with concern and I shake my head lightly.I kept my distance from Mackenzie and it seemed to upset her, thinking I was mad at her. I take her hand and hug to her arm. I hear her sigh with relief and give her hand an assuring squeeze. "I love you Mackenzie, never forget that," I say in a soothing tone. "I have no control of my hormones and I find your vampire form arousing.""I thought I did something wrong," she says with relief."I'm sorry I made you feel that way. Are you staying until I end my shift?""Yeah, I have that feeling I need to," she says in a sudden protective tone.I was half way through my shift when things died down in the restaurant. The spinning of the room was starting to slow and I started to sway on my feet. I grab the back of an empty chair and bring my other hand to cover my eyes. Melissa, one of my friends at the restaurant, comes over to me. She sits me in a chair, handing me a glass of water with concern in her eyes."What's wrong Anita? I've seen you handle a night busier than this and not break a sweat," she says with concern. Before I could say anything, Mackenzie was next to me in her vampire form and Melissa tries to stop her from getting close to me. "Let me next to my girlfriend," Mackenzie panics with tears in her eyes, slightly shoving Melissa aside. She takes my face in her hands, worry in her eyes. "Did you want to go home?""I just need a minute, I'm okay," I say in a wavering whisper from the nausea and Mackenzie nods vigorously. I look at Melissa and smile lightly. "I'm pregnant. We found out this morning.""You're pregnant with a vampire," she asks with disgust.Mackenzie whirls around at her and Melissa falls back in a chair. "I'm not a bloody vampire," she shouts in anger, gaining attention from the rest of the staff as she shifts back to her human form. "Yes, she bares my child. Is that a problem?"Melissa shakes her head vigorously, eyes wide as she looks up at Mackenzie towering over her. "I'm s-sorry," Melissa stammers nervously and Mackenzie sighs, letting out a calming breath."Me too," she mutters quietly before glancing sad eyes at me and walking away."Mack," I call out as tears roll down my cheeks and she keeps walking away. I narrow my eyes at Melissa she she adverts my eye contact. "I told you she was sensitive about being compared to a vampire.""Anita I'm so sorry," she chokes quietly.I stand to go after Mackenzie and collapse in Melissa's arms from a dizzy spell. "Anita," Melissa calls out, scared as I pass out.MackenzieI heard the panicked tone of that girl calling Anita's name and ran back where I left them. Anita was passed out with her head cradled in the other woman's lap. Fearing for both her and the baby, I shift into my vampire form as tears fill my eyes. Her boss, Mr. Jones was coming over and I scoop her in my arms.Thankfully I don't smell any blood because that would mean she's having a miscarriage and I don't know if I'd be able to control myself. I meet eyes with her boss as tears roll down my cheeks and choke quietly, "I'm taking her home, unless that's going to be a problem?""Is she going to be okay," he asks with genuine concern."She's been a little under the weather a few days, I'm not sure if I can tell you," I say quietly and he nods with understanding."Tell her she can take a few days off," he says softly and I nod lightly, letting out a relieved breath.Anita's friend tries to speak to me, but I walk passed her with Anita passed out in my arms. Her parents follow behind me and the smell of blood hits my nose. It's human blood. I know it's not Anita but it's close. I place her in Charlie's arms and they look at me confused. "Take her back inside and call an ambulance. She's fine, but I smell human blood," I say quietly, fighting the urge to go suck what's left dry.I don't wait for them to say anything and run off to where I smell the blood. I see a woman braced against the side of the building and two puncture wounds on her neck. There's a vampire, her blood still smells fresh. That's when I felt a knife enter my waist from someone behind me.I turn to see a vampire, blood staining his mouth. He takes one look in my eyes and his widen in fear. "Dhampir," he says scared."I don't make friends with vampires, I kill them," I growl as I lift him off the ground and pull the blade from my waist."They know about your girlfriend and that she works here. They know she's pregnant Dhampir. I wouldn't dare go after her, but they will. There's an army of them, let me help you," he begs in fear."How do you know this woman isn't my girlfriend," I ask with gritted teeth."We've been watching you," he stammers nervously. "There's a small group of us that want to fight with you. I honestly thought you were just another vampire.""Why should I trust you," I demand angrily."Because we work alongside your grandfather, Lord Jeffery Kingsley and your mother, Lady Olivia Kingsley," he says in a scared whisper.****Hmmm, could it be? After all these years? Find out next chapter muhahahhahaha****Mackenzie"Give me one bloody reason I shouldn't kill you for just mentioning my mother's name," I demand angrily. "I watched her die so don't you dare speak her name!""Mack," a woman's voice says in a soothing tone.I recognize that voice. Can it be? After three hundred years? Has she really been alive this whole time?Keeping my grip on the vampire that stabbed me, I looked over my shoulder. It was as if I was caught in a dream. The woman standing behind me looked like my mother. She hadn't aged a day since that night. She comes over to caress my face and I drop the vampire from against the wall of the building."You're not real," I choke quietly as tears rapidly roll down my cheeks."I'm sorry love, the Vampire King had scouts. I had to make them believe I was dead," she chokes in a whisper. A year before he found us, he turned your grandfather, my father. He made him a scout. Even as a vampire he couldn't kill his only daughter. He turned me at the last minute, when you killed th
Mackenzie I was staring down at the woman who is not only my grandmother, but the witch who could make it possible Anita spends eternity with me. It's been five minutes since I asked if she'd help and I haven't gotten an answer. I shake my head in disappointment and walk to the kitchen. I started making up my mother's soup for Anita knowing it helped with her nausea last night. I've been making this soup for three hundred years that I could do it blind.I was so caught up in making the soup that I didn't realize my mother was working alongside me. "I see you still make my soup," she says with a smile."It was all I had to keep you with me all these years," I choke quietly. "I continued all of your recipes as you made them three hundred years ago. Your soup helped Anita's nausea last night." "My lullaby works on her too, she's asleep," she says in a soothing whisper, wiping my eyes. "Go lay with her darling, I'll finish the soup.""Victoria won't answer me about Anita. I've been alo
MackenzieAfter another night of love making, Anita and I went back to her place. My mother had called her asking for us to come back so we could talk. I wasn't looking forward to it, but I always respected my mother and what she said. So I will face whatever is to come next.I was nervous about what they wanted to talk about. Anita picked up on that and squeezed my hand. She smiles and I let out a calming breath. "It's okay Mackenzie, I'm sure they just want to know where we stand. Your mother looked upset after you left. Your grandmother wasn't trying to upset you. She wanted to see if I was worthy enough for you," she says quietly as we reach her front door."That wasn't her decision to make," I say with a hint of anger. She gives me a kiss and opens the front door. To my surprise they were already sitting in the living room with Anita's parents. Their attention drew towards us and my grandmother walked up to me. "Mackenzie, I hope you can forgive me. I intended to do the spell, bu
AnitaIt's been a few days since we seen Victoria and Jeffery. I was home alone while Mackenzie and her mother walked through town, catching up with each other. She didn't want to leave me alone but I told her I was just going to relax on the couch. My morning sickness has been horrible and thankfully Mr. Jones is understanding about it and gave me time off.My parents had gone to take care of things with their business after someone they recently hired screwed up important meetings with very important clients. They both own a catering business and have a few big weddings to set up for. One of being the Mayor's daughter. With my head spinning and my eyes closed, the doorbell rings. I groan because Mackenzie and my parents have keys to get in. I don't know who could be possibly ringing my doorbell at 10am but I slowly get up and make my way to the door with a slight stumble in my step.My hands shake as I open the door revealing Victoria. She has a slight smile on her face that quickly
MackenzieAs we sit, enjoying our cheesecake, the waitress from the other day walks over and gets Anita's attention. "I saw you walk in and thought I'd see how you're feeling after a few days ago," she says with concern."Sure you're not making sure Mackenzie didn't kill me Melissa," Anita asks in a dry tone and Melissa raises her eyebrows in surprise. "I'm the second known human to get pregnant by the supernatural. Pregnancy symptoms are a little extreme, but Mackenzie has been there through it all."I'm getting a break from the constant nausea for the first time in days, can we please go back to enjoying our cheesecake," she asks as her eyes fill with sudden tears."Of course, sorry I bothered you," she says as she walks away.Overwhelmed with emotions, Anita pushes her desert away from her. She gets up without a word, heading for the bathroom. I follow after her and find her breaking down on a closed toilet. Her elbows on her knees as her face was buried in her hands. Her shoulders
AnitaAfter breakfast, Olivia took me to the living room. A pillow was placed in her lap and I took the hint to lay down. After the first few strokes of her fingers I let out a relaxed sigh. It was the most I felt relaxed since learning about Victoria's special spell. I close my eyes, focusing on the soothing strokes of Olivia's fingers in my hair. I feel someone sit with my feet in their lap as they gingerly start massaging my aching feet. I groan with relief and open my eyes slightly to see it was Mackenzie. She gives me a light smile and I close my eyes again."How's she doing," I hear my father ask quietly with concern."She's calm Charlie, the most she's been since we learned about her changing," Mackenzie says in a soothing tone."Can I stay here until she wakes up," I hear my father ask with a hint of sadness in her tone. Before anyone could answer, a sudden wave of nausea made me bolt for the bathroom. The light smoothie I had filled the toilet, leaving me with a strong cravi
MakenzieLegend says the first vampire started off as a farmer outside a small village in England. He was bitten by a bat. His DNA mutated with the saliva from the bat bite, making him an original vampire. His first victim was his wife, the first ever he sired. Together they would be later known as the King and Queen of vampires. They traveled the world by night, making an army along the way. Soon there were enough vampires to populate an entire country. They all spread out across the globe, feeding off humans as their only way for survival. Once changed into a vampire, they can never take their human form again. They cannot walk in sunlight, garlic repels them and the only way to kill them is by staking through the heart or beheading.Fast-forward six hundred years to the early 1700's when humans and vampires raged war. Vampires wanted to rule the world and have the humans as slaves. One day, while the vampires took refuge from the sun, a small group of soldiers under Queen Anne ente
AnitaIt's been three days since I saw her, three days since she saved my life. I wear her jacket when I sleep as a way of comfort. I just imagine her holding me, snuggling in her scent. I've been able to sleep these last few nights and I've never felt better. I tried to find her, to return the jacket, but I had no luck.I was at the restaurant, just starting my shift when our monthly trouble walked in. They always feel me up like I'm a piece of meat and then trash the place. I back myself in the corner as tears roll down my cheeks. I close my eyes as the five of them close in on me. I hear grunts and open my eyes to the Dhampir, fighting off the perverts. They all start running away with fear in their eyes, the rest of the diners looking at her with a mixture of fear and fascination. She turns to me still in her vampire form and looks at me with concern. She walks up to me, caressing my face as she shifts back to her human form. She wipes away my tears and I step closer to her.I mee

AnitaIt's been a few weeks since we learned Mackenzie is in fact fertile. We haven't done anything aside from cuddling these last few weeks. My parents stocked her fridge with blood so she had an emergency stash in case there were no vampires for her. She doesn't go more then two days and only drinks enough to keep the bloodlust away.I woke up in her arms with the urge to get sick. I scramble out of her arms and into the bathroom. I just make the toilet and moments later feel her rubbing my back. I wipe my mouth and rest against Mackenzie. She rubs my stomach and I let out a relieved breath. Then it hits me, I never get sick. I reach under the sink and take out one of the tests that Mackenzie had bought a few days ago when I missed my period. We both agreed to wait for other symptoms because work at the restaurant has been stressful the last two weeks. Mackenzie helps me up and I pee on the stick that will literally change everything. I place it on the sink and sit back on the floo
MackenzieA few days have passed since Anita reunited with her parents and finding out the truth about why they gave her away. It was their was of protecting her. They didn't know she'd be put through what she had to live through. It's also been as many days since my last vampire and I'm feeling drained again.I've been avoiding Anita because last time I was lucky not to hurt her. I just finished a shower after a long excruciating night of patrolling and no blood for nearly a week. I'm about to climb in bed when an unexpected knock is at my front door. I numbly walk over, struggling to open it.Bright light from the sun blinds me and I hiss as I shield my eyes. The familiar, intoxicating fragrance fills my nose as delegate hands caress my face. She gently pushes me in and enters, closing the door. "Oh my God, Mack," she chokes with worry."You shouldn't be here, the urge for blood is strong," I strain in a whisper as I fight the urge to sink my teeth in her flesh. "If I'm going to be
