Jasmine.

The question struck her ears like lightning, she didn't want to answer the question, she avoided his eyes like they were fire. Her body felt stiff like a log. What could she say? Why did he ask that? Jasmine was never the shy type but she avoided questions like that.

"Who was he to her?!" She didn't have an answer to give. She gulped instead and turned away. Still trying to comprehend the question he asked earlier, then she heard the question again "would you go ahead to marry your fiance; even when you have someone like me?" The question choked her this time around which made her saliva pass through her breathing space and she became uncomfortable.

Then she coughed to buy herself time so she could think about what response she could give at that moment and also to distract him which worked perfectly. He stood up to assist her sit uprightly and also went inside to get a glass of water for her to drink.

"Are you good?" He asked worriedly as he laid her back. She looked at hi
