Chapter 3 _______ The Devil

" His sentence has been extended to one year,Sir. Would you like to put more charges on him?", Max reported in his robotic voice, so emotionless like mine.

I shook my head off with a dark chuckle, pouring the ice cube into my whiskey,

" No, Max! One year is enough for me to destroy his baby girl."

Because the king is back!

Ten years ago, the boy who had been beaten, crumpled by the man behind the bars was back again. This time, no one was going to use him again. No one was going to trap him in fake love again because I will take back everything that belongs to me including her.

It took ten years for me to hate her fully. Now, all I wanted to see was her crying and begging at my mercy just like the way I did ten years ago. But she left me broken, abandoned on the street just because I didn't have the money like her father. Time had changed and now I had everything which once belonged to her.

Max nodded, taking his leave. I moved away from the long window, naked from the top. Lina was already there, waiting for me in her lingerie. I sipped my whiskey, circling around the bed,

" You are a good girl, Lina! Aren't you?"

Lina bit down her bottom lips seductively, dragging her feet onto me,

" Yes, Sir! You want me to make you feel better today?"

Lina had always served me well in bed. I had been changing women weekly almost. None of them managed to stick to me except Lina. Either they fell in love with me or just couldn't take my desire. I took another sip, emphasizing my words a little dramatically,

Lina nodded before getting on the bed to take the position. I pushed my zipper down, freed my cock before going behind her ass. Lina jumped and was scared as well, following my order silently. Once she was down on the ground, she muttered pulling up her teary eyes at me,

Her words broke the last shackle inside me. I hated to talk about my past but Lina knew a lot. After all, she was my assistant before turning into a good fuck buddy. I scrambled up to her, gripped her by her hair before growling at her face furiously,

" I hate her! Do you understand? If I ever hated someone in my whole life, it's her. Katherine Harper!! I should have killed her with my own hands if she didn't owe me anything. She owes me a lot. Stay the fuck away of my business."

I threw her across the room. She let out a gasp of crying before heading outside, running. I squeezed my eyes shut to block the distance memories. Those were all fake and she was going to pay for everything.

Smirking, I pulled out my phone to call Max. It was answered even before ringing. I passed my order to him,

" Get my car out! We are going to the police station, Max. I should see her tears."

|| KATHERINE HARPER's POV ||

" How could this happen...It was a long time ago..Why is he charged with guilt again?", I choked in my tears as I looked up at Uncle John helplessly. He sighed before dropping his hat,

" I don't know dear! I don't know who wants to see him desperately behind the bars! It was all okay but..now.. I don't know..You have to wait again."

I know who is behind everything!

I stayed perplexed at my spot, refreshing the memory of my school years. My father did horrible things to Ace's family. I was aware of everything but Ace had never been a vengeful person. He was the kindest guy that I knew in my school years.

How could he do this to me? Was he plotting against my family? Why did he kiss me though?

I thought that he had hated me and stayed away from me. It never came across my mind that he could attack my father after becoming a big shot.

 No!! I have to find him!! I need to release my father. Without him, I won't be able to regain the control of my mother's guardianship in the hospital.

I turned around to leave the hospital. I had no idea how I was walking to the road. I thought, the last ten years had finally passed but my pain had never ended. I felt lost, broken and clueless. I had no face to ask for Ace's forgiveness but at least, I could try with it.

Walking aimlessly to the outside, I almost went into the center of the street when I heard a familiar voice,

" I thought, you would be looking for me. So, I showed up here, Principessa."

I froze in my track, looking up to find the devil in front of me. He was smoking with pleasure, leaning his silhouette against his costly SUV. The anger, resentment all burst out inside me upon seeing him again.

I rushed to him, shouting and throwing punches angrily,

" You did this...you fucking did this...you did this to me.. what do you want from me?? What the fuck do you want...We have left each other ten years back..Why are you ruining my life again.."

He grasped my arms together until the point that it was almost bruising. He brought his face close to mine before blurting his words in fury,

" You thought that I would forget about how you betrayed me? You..not only killed me..you killed my child...Your father destroyed my family..Did you think that I will let you go so easily? It's time for repayment, Katherine Harper. You know what you should regret? You should regret dating this devil once because I am never going to forgive me. A devil doesn't believe in forgiveness. He believes in revenge just like me."

My throat went dry from his furious words. I didn't know this Ace in front of me. His eyes spoke like a living devil, the hatred was so vivid that I had to shudder under his touch. He almost looked like the man who was fond of killing. Before I could ask more, I heard a second voice, coming from my back,

" Katherine! What is he doing with you?"

I turned around in surprise, my eyes widening to see Rowan standing a few steps. He was still holding me in his grip until I jerked them off to answer Rowan,

" Rowan! Listen to me.. it's nothing like that..he..he is just familiar to me..Let me explain.."

Rowan hardened his eyes at me before replying,

" You better explain immediately, Katherine otherwise I don't think that we will get the chance ever again. I want to know what he is doing with you here at this hour, Katherine."
