I listened to her and left the room. I just stood outside her door for a minute, but I heard her start crying. I was annoyed in myself that it had taken such a turn like that. I didn’t want to be a dick, just... Sometimes when I’m around her, it just comes out and I don’t know why.
I leaned my head against her door and listened to her heartbreaking cry. Maybe starting something with her in the first place was just a bad idea. She was too young, too vulnerable... The evidence was sobbing on the other side of the door…
I genuinely didn’t mean for her to see me with Christine.
