Chapter 44 Dreams 6
We make it back into our bedroom and Samantha hurries to the bathroom for her shower. I settle on the couch and start looking through my pictures, so far nothing I am finding has any clues to what I am looking for. I sigh as I place them in a pile to the side. I hear the shower turn off and I start to put them away. I leave a couple out for her to see, one from my own shifting party and another from my earlier years. I was holding one of my favorite toys from the time, an Ironman action figure. I was smiling from ear to ear.
I sigh, I cried so hard when Chris and Jake broke it...then to make it that much worse they told my parents that I did it because I wanted the newest one...
My memory flashed again, and I remembered another toy. One I didn’t recognize, it was a white one that had wings and chirped.... a small girl’s laugh.... was this Samantha’s? I held my head as I tried to remember more, but nothing was coming.
