I watched Madison turn back to her drink with a scowl and order another after draining it. She was beautiful when she was angry. I’d t

[Madison]We snuggled under the blankets, hiding from the world. I saw Ford was deep in thought and hadn’t heard what was going on in the living room. I prepared myself for what would happen next. There was a knock on the door.
[Madison]They entered the living room as I was half laying on the couch with my hands over my eyes.
[3rd person]It was about one in the afternoon when Officers Dennis Ryan and Lynton Leeds arrived at The Frozen Fringe. Lynton had been
[Madison]The door buzzed, I glared at the video screen and sighed. Getting up, I went to look at who was buzzing. It was Dennis and Lynton. I let
[Moran]I was hanging out with Rao while he ironed Ford’s suit. Val was getting the kids up from a nap. Ford and Rao were really excited abou
[Madison]I looked at the outfit in the mirror, I’d disliked the solid black and had sewn a scarlet ruffle to the end of the skirt. I added a
[Madison]The light in the room was low. Dark wood floors led up to cream colored wainscoting below pale blue and gold wallpaper. There was some unimpressive art on the wall and fake plants in the corners helping to dampen the echoes of the mostly empty room. There was a table with a white cloth and dark napkins. On the table was a carafe with ice water and two tumblers. The centerpiece was a lamp with a fake, flickering flame.

The following is a brief synopsis of the second book, 'The Demon Queen's Duty'. Madison Coto, Vasilia, vigilan
[Madison]I was in my bathroom, working on applying my makeup. It had been about a month since I’d joined the Vasili’s household and he’d finally gotten me a meeting with the doctor who killed my mother. We were seeing him in an hour and I was pretty excited.Suddenly, two arms wrapped around me. The familiar feeling of Bryant kissing my neck softly made me giggle. I leaned into him and breathed in the scent of my love, Ford.I relaxed and closed my eyes. I didn’t want to see Bryant’s baby blue eyes and dark blonde hair when smelling Ford’s scent. I wanted to feel the t
Patrick Devere was excited as he drove through the gates of the Northland Camp. His plan was finally coming to fruition. Anders had the Vasilia, most of the lesser supernaturals were caged or dead, and Nettleston was finally tiring of the little succubus. Now, he just had to taste her blood to confirm she was what he was looking for. Hundreds of years of waiting, all for this goal. All to make him the ruler of the supernaturals.A smile spread across his devilishly handsome face. He glanced at the girl in the backseat of his car. One of his most prized captives. A beautiful young fae. Their blood was so sweet and addictive. Her golden eyes were downcast and her sky blue ha
[3rd person]Winston was still processing his vision when Madison came into the room. Annie and Will had gone to the bathroom to shower and Bryant was staring out the window, wishing he was elsewhere. The bathroom was not soundproof and they all could hear Will and Annie going at it in the spray of the water.“Go on out to the kitchen. Breakfast is ready.” She told them.
[Madison]Anders went down the hall after I turned my back on him. That hadn’t gone very smoothly, but I learned Drayce was absolutelynotthe one who ordered the fires. He was too soft to be cool with killing kids.It gave me an opening, too. He’d be more open to what I was saying once he felt like I really saw him and wanted to he
[Madison]Will patted my shoulder as I sat on the bed. I couldn’t believe I hurt Winston. I should have thought of what it would mean to have him in my wings all night. Bears ran hotter than wolves. I didn’t realize it got worse as they slept. If not for the headache that woke me, I might not have been able to cool him down.I was supposed to be a better option than the camps, and here I was endangering them. Val wo
[Winston]I woke the next morning feeling overheated. Madison’s wings were cozy, but I tended to radiate heat while I slept and it created a cocoon of hot, humid air. I tried to figure out how to get out of them without waking her, but it didn’t seem possible. I rolled over and rubbed her shoulder.Madison reached out and held me tightly to her. I closed my eyes as I felt a wave of dizziness overcome me. A vision was forcing itse
[Ford] The Helvegr was finishing the clean-up from dinner when I entered the kitchen. They looked up at me. I headed to the stove to grab the biggest plate they’d filled and wrapped. Grabbing a fork, I started eating while leaning against the counter.“Minerva?” I grinned.“Tony.
[Ford]When I went back to my body, I found that my friends had managed to lay me out on the couch. I appreciated it. Moran was sitting next to me, on the coffee table. Rao and Val were pacing back and forth behind the chairs. I couldn’t see Chris or Tony.“He’s back!” Moran shouted.&nbs
