Chapter thirty nine

Mia's pov

I woke up at four am, even though I hardly slept all night. I could feel my magic vibrating right under my skin. It wasn't painful by any means, just uncomfortable, I felt so different.

"I guess we need some time to adjust to our new powers" Violet said, sounding just as tired as I was. She hadn't slept either, she'd stayed up with me and now I know it wasn't to keep me company.

"Yeah and I hope it doesn't take too long, I don't like not sleeping" I said throwing the blanket off of me, it was starting to get a little too hot.

I got off the bed, stretching a little and instantly realised that I needed to go for a run. And so without hesitation, I grabbed a sports bra and leggings from my bag, which I guess I should unpack, and put the clothes on on. Grabbing the shoes that I used to run away from my home, I quickly slipped them on and made my way out.

The house was quiet, which meant Josy was still asleep, so I made sure not to wake her. Once outside, I stretched for abou
