I felt gentle hands on my skin, hands that radiated warmth and were lulling me into an even deeper sleep, “mmmm” I moaned in my sleep. “Wake up beautiful” I heard the most amazing voice softly whisper into my ear, trailing butterfly kisses down my neck, “five more minutes” I moaned, feeling like I was sleeping on a cloud, who would want to wake up from that.

“You need to wake up right now” he whispered again but I was honestly in heaven, he wrapped his arms tightly around me, making me even more comfortable, was he really trying to wake me up?

“We need to get up or we’ll be late for school baby” Cole said making me open my eyes as he sucked on my mark, making my body heat up.

“Come on, let’s get up before we’re late for school” Cole said, not sounding convincing at all and right now, I needed him to be my voice of reason, skipping school was looking too appealing.

He got up and held out his hand for me to take but instead of noticing his hand that was right in my face, I noticed the bruise on his neck, my father’s little welcome to the family present.

“Sorry about the bruise” I whispered and he just smiled, “it’s fine babe and it will go away, don’t worry about it, although your dad did give me an idea of how I’ll be welcoming our future son in law” he said wiggling his eyebrows and I just laughed.

“Come on, we have to get ready” he said and I shut my eyes tightly, hoping it was a bad dream and we had more time but when I felt his hands move under me and lift me as he chuckled, my heart sunk in my chest “yep, it’s real” he said going to his bathroom.

He put me down, started the shower and pulled me in when the water was a good temperature. Washing each other’s bodies like our own, I paid special attention to his hard dick that kept poking my stomach, hoping he would say “screw it, let’s go back to bed” but I had no such luck and soon enough, we were out of the bathroom.

I wore one of his shirts, which was too big on my petite frame; coming down to mid-thigh and his boxers so could go to my room and put on clothes that were proper for school.

“You are not going out there in that” he said as I was about to leave, “why not?” I asked looking down at the clothes, they looked fine to me, instead of answering my question, he went into the bathroom and came out holding his bathrobe, I raised an eyebrow as he came over to me and put it on me.

“There we go, perfect” he said stepping back and admiring his fashion sense, “really?” I asked and he nodded with a big smile on his face, “now go get dressed, or else we’ll be late” he said with a kiss on the cheek and went back to dressing himself, unbelievable.

I went to my room and surprisingly didn’t meet anyone on the way but I wasn’t complaining, I got to my room and changed into a yellow summer dress and white heeled sandals, brushed my hair into a ponytail and put on light make up.

A knock on the door startled me as I was just putting on some lip gloss; I quickly finished and skipped to the door. I opened the door to find Cole standing there, looking all sorts of sexy in a black short sleeved turtle neck, black jeans and sneakers.

“Look at you looking all sexy” he said pulling me into him, “you’re the one standing there looking fifty shades of hot” I said kissing him, “I have to look good for my baby” he said once we broke the kiss, “you look stunning” he said holding me at arm’s length, I blushed and since my hair was in a ponytail, I couldn’t use it as a curtain to hide my face.

I grabbed my bag and we left hand in hand down the stairs, it seemed we were a little late since all the teenagers were already eating, some even leaving for school but who cares, as long as we got to school on time.

We took our seats next to our friends, who were grinning like idiots, “look at the newly mated couple looking all hot and sexy” Mia gushed and I just rolled my eyes with a smile. “I have never seen you dressed like that Britney, were you hiding that body under baggy clothes all this time?” Wade asked with a smirk and Cole growled with a glare, “watch it bud” he warned putting a plate of food in front of me.

I thanked him and started eating, “Wade is right, why you looking hot all of a sudden?” Mia asked and I just ignored her, “first of all, she’s always been hot” Cole said making me a blush creep up my face, “and secondly, why wouldn’t she show off for her mate?” he continued, making me blush even harder while everyone gaped at him.

“Wow, never knew you were so cheesy” Trevor teased and the other chuckled, “just wait until you get your mate buddy” Cole said kissing my cheek.

We quickly finished eating and left for school, taking Cole’s car, it didn’t take long for us to be walking through the school doors hand in hand and I must say, I did not like the attention.

Everyone was starring and whispering, no doubt wondering what the school hottie was doing with the nerd, and I was willing to bet my trust fund that this piece of news will be known throughout the whole school by lunch, yay for me.

“Looks like you my friend will be the talk of the day” Mia said bumping her shoulder against mine, “wow, I’m so thrilled” I said with no humour and the guys laughed at my sarcasm.

I noticed that the cheerleaders were looking at us with disdain, Ramona, was glaring daggers as we approached, I involuntarily gulped at her stare but quickly righted my nerves, Cole was my mate, and she could choke on her little crush for all I care.

“Hi Cole” she said putting on a fake smile as we got closer and much to her chagrin; he only nodded, not even looking at her, ha! In your face bitch.

“I was wondering if we could hang out after practice today” she said stepping in front of him, “no thanks, I’ll be hanging out with my ma… girlfriend” he said, I would have taken offence at being called his girlfriend but she was human and we can’t risk humans asking too many questions. “Buzz off loser” Mia said and I smiled at my best friend defending me without fail, “shut up troll, no one was talking to you” Marissa said defending her own friend.

“Oh come on Cole, you can do a lot better than some nerd, a new dress doesn’t change what she is and I bet she’s no fun” she said touching his chest, making Freya growled in my head, "rip her hand off!” she growled and I had to use everything I had in me not to do just that.

I grabbed her hand and pushed her back just as Cole’s hand was reaching up, probably to do the same thing, “but he did do better Ramona, he did better than a dumb slut who probably has a dozen STI’s” I said making her gape at me, “what!?” she yelled making me roll my eyes.

“Oh I’m sorry, was dozen too big a word for your little brain to comprehend? Oh sorry, that's a big word as well, I meant understand?” I said making her turn red in shame and anger, I was feeling rather petty, I could take her insulting me but no one touches what’s mine.

“You little…” she started but I didn’t let her finish, “you listen and you listen carefully, if I ever see you touching him or talking to him or so much as breath the same air as him, heaven help me I’ll make you regret the day you were born!” I gritted out, taking a step towards her with every word and letting my beta aura loose, even though she was human, I know she could feel the dominating energy coming from me.

By the time I was done with my warning, she was pressed against the locker as I stood in front of her with a menacing look, “got it!” I whispered with so much venom in my words I heard her gulp, she nodded and looked down and I stepped back, taking Cole’s hand and pulling him along with me.

I was so pissed that I didn’t realize everyone’s expressions, it was when I stopped at my locker and took a deep breath that I looked at my friends, and they looked like they had just seen a two headed wolf.

“What?” I asked, suddenly feeling self-conscious, did I overreact or something? “I’m aroused” Cole said staring at me with lust in his eyes, “wow” Wade said blinking a few time, “where did that come from?” Trevor asked looking baffled, “who the hell was that?!” Mia exclaimed and I blushed, opening my locker and using it to hide my red face.

“You don’t get to be shy now lady” Mia said and I sighed, “I just got mad, she was touching him and Freya and I didn’t like it okay” I tried to defend myself, “I loved it” Cole said wiggling his eyebrows and I just laughed.

“So this whole time you had me running my mouth defending you when you could have just put them all in their place?” Mia asked folding her hands over her chest, “you liked it so I didn’t stop you” I said with a shrug and she made a thinking face, “true” she said opening her own locker.

“So I missed the full moon run for nothing?” Trevor asked and I had no words for him, the bell rang and I sighed in relief, saved by the bell suddenly had a new meaning, “we have the same class missy, this isn’t over” he said walking to class with Mia in tow, okay, I spoke too soon.

“Don’t mind them, they’re just being stupid” Cole said pulling me in for a kiss, “I have to stop by my locker, see you at lunch?” he asked and I nodded, giving him a quick kiss before he left with Wade.

I got to class just as the second bell rang and I gulped when I saw the look Trevor was giving me, “shit” I cursed under my breath.
