Tye POV:
Rex has been uneasy since we got in our hiding spots. The very sound of Bosch made my skin crawl and I couldn't wait until Alley killed him. Our world will be better off without him. I decided not to shift just yet because I like hand to hand combat, keeps my skills up to date so if I ever get into sticky situations and humans are around I won't feel the urge to shift. I kept Alley and Stephen in my line of sight because that is my baby sister and as much as I knew she could protect herself it's still my job to keep her safe. Each time I look at her I can see how much she has grown. She was strong before but now she is stronger and the way she carries herself hasn't changed. She loves those around her and she loves her pack. She gives us faith when we feel like there is none left. I heard the trees rustle around before a bag came flying out from it. What the hell is that? It landed by Bosch and when the smoke cleared he was stone and the most beautiful voice rang out. "Open the shield now! We have a few hours tops!" Whose voice did that belong to? A dark witch? Rex was running circles in my head. I didn't have too much time to think about it before everything went crazy. It was like a scene out of a movie, everyone was charging each other. Baby vamps were everywhere and those damn things were wild and out of control. I ran forward to the first one I locked my eyes on.
It was disgusting looking, greasy hair and eyes that were sunk in, it literally hissed at me. We collided in the middle, his movements were fast but calculated. He tried using his nails to cut anything he could touch. I grabbed his arm and in one swift move ripped it from his body. He shrieked and tried to back away, I jumped at him sending us both to the ground before I pulled his head from his body. I stood and looked for a group to take out at once. If we only have a few hours then we need to take out as many as we can before our time is up. I found a group that was mixed with vampires and dark witches. It still amazed me that Alley got the dark witch queen to aid us in this but then again I should underestimate her. I ran as fast as my legs could go before Rex decided he wanted to come out. I shifted into my large brown and black wolf mid run and before I knew it we were bulldozing our way into a small crowd. Rex shredded anything that came into his sight. His senses were on high alert. "Rex what is your deal?" I asked. "It's mate. She is here." Rex replied and I could hear the need and worry in his voice. "She is here?! Fighting?" I shouted. "Yes stupid now be quiet so I can concentrate." Rex
snapped. Goddess he can be such an ass sometimes, but then again if our mate is somewhere here fighting we both will be on edge. There are so many of us mixed in. I wonder who she is. Rex and I found ourselves cordoned off when the most amazing smell hit my nose.It smelt like rosemary mixed with vanilla and a small hint of lavender. Where is is coming from? I didn't have too much time to figure it out due to the small crowd forming in front of me. Rex was snarling and snapping at anything that was remotely close, before he decided to start shredding anything he could latch his teeth on. The more he tore through the more surrounded us until I felt a sharp pain on my left leg. Rex yelp in pain and tried to kick at whatever was behind him. The smell was incredibly close and the next thing I knew something had bumped in to me from behind. Rex turned and growled and we locked eyes on the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. Her green eyes pierced me "Don't you fucking attack me!" She roared before she quickly turned away to deal with whoever was behind me. I snapped Rex back to attention, as much as I want to look at her we needed to survive this mess first. "She is our mate, we must protect mate." Rex grunted out. Rex acted fast and attacked anything close to her, she bumped in to us again but Rex didn't growl. Her voice rang out and sounded powerful "Insigna!" her voice had a rasp to it and I felt the heat of a fire behind me. Rex took a few steps back until he bumped in to her but he didn't stop. "Hey! I'm back here you big dog!" She snapped an elbowed us in the leg. She is feisty I like it. Rex growled in return.
"Hey asshat that is our mate! Don't growl at her like that!" I roared. "I know I am sorry! I feel horrible but that is my injured leg." Rex said back, regret laced in his voice. He kept backing up until he was fully standing over her. She tried to take a step to get out from under us and Rex stepped with her growling to tell her to stay where she was. "Hey uh- wolfman listen to me. Can you hear me?" Her sweet silky voice rang out. She can call me wolfman anytime, Rexs thoughts rang out. I mentally rolled my eyes at him, he growled lowly at her. She isn't a wolf but a dark witch so communication is going to be hard. "I can make them all sleep but you gotta keep them back okay?" She said. Well that is easy enough, Rex huffed giving her the answer she needed before I could feel a shift in the air under me. Not going to lie it kind of tickled. Rex growled letting our alpha aura seep out backing some of them up. She stuck her arms out on each side of Rexs large body before she took a deep breath. "Morpheus!" She boomed, the power in her voice could make anyone recoil back. I watched in amazement as they all started to fall to the ground "Insigna." She whispered. If I didn't have good hearing I wouldn't have heard her. Rex moved away from her and this time we got an amazing look at her.
Pythia POV: The last few months have been the most relaxing I have ever had. I completely re-decorated our house with the help of Lucinda. We have taken so many photos and family photos and I wanted to start a complete family wall that could be added on to as the years go by. I was finishing up the final touches in the new nursery even though I knew they probably wouldn't be sleeping alone in here. We even placed a big bean bag thing for Delilah to sleep on. I wanted to go over and check on Beth, she had Spencer a few months ago and we all have been visiting everyday so she didn't have to worry about coming to us. "Delilah is waiting outside." Lucinda said from the door. I laid my hands across my now large belly and turned around. Delilah and I were going to merge today so she could help me through the delivery. Apollo hurt really badly. I couldn't imagine what it is like to have twins but I am about to find out. Alley has been giving me tips and stuff on how to manage two
Pythia POV: The party was starting to calm down and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the humans mixed in with everyone else. Others were letting their wolves out to show that there is nothing to be afraid of. The mayors and council members were very happy to see that we can all live among each other easily without and issues and we have extended our protection to them. We can't always promise that some little disgruntled asshole won't try anything but they felt better knowing they were all protected by us. "I think it's just about time for us to go." Tye whispered in my ear. "Where are we going?" I asked. "You'll find out when we get there. Apollo is going to stay with Ambrosia and Jackson for a few days and then they will bring him to us so we can go somewhere else for a small family vacation." Tye said with a smile. "I'm very curious as to what you have planned up." I giggled. "You two are all set to go." Lucinda said walking up to us. "Are you going to be alright here wit
Pythia POV: I woke up feeling a lot better than I have been the last few days. Apollo was curled up next to me while Delilah was laying at the end of the bed. I quietly climbed out of the bed and walked into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror to see my hair still had the shine from it getting done last night. I wrapped it up and put a shower cap on before I turned on the hot water. I turned back to the sink while the water was heating up to brush my teeth, the day was finally here and I couldn't be more excited. When I was done brushing my teeth I quickly stepped in the shower grabbing my loofah and lathering it with soap. I wonder how the guys night went. I didn't need anyone to tell me that Tye had been trying to secretly check in on me because every time Alleys eyes glazed over I knew who it was. I rinsed off and stepped out of the shower and towel dried myself and slipped on my robe and slippers. I took my shower cap off and let my hair fall down, I picked up my brush a
Pythia POV: I was helping Tye get an overnight bag packed and ready to go. Tonight was the night we had to spend apart, I wasn't really sure what the guys had planned but I know us girls had a full night of pampering ahead of us. "Are you sure I have to leave?" Tye pouted. "Yes I am sure, and I'm pretty sure the twins and Alcide will drag you out of here." I replied. "Alcide has been overly excited about this." Tye said. "Yes, he has only because he hasn't been around much lately and he is family. He's never had that before." I replied easily. After the fight had happened Alcide and his pack went back to their lands to get some normalcy back into their lives. Olivia and a few others went with him to resettle into a new life they wanted to make for themselves. When I called him about our wedding he was more than happy to visit the days leading up to it. We extended invitations to all of the packs and even the close human towns. Our presence has been made and they have been over
Pythia POV: Today was the day we decided to venture out and go to the human mall. We have made good progress with the humans and have allowed them to come and visit our lands. We started building different schools so that all our children could mingle with each other and so far there hasn't been any problems. Beth is close to having little Spencer but she wanted to come anyway. "Are we all ready?" I asked, looking around. We had the kids tucked in their strollers and we were all dressed in comfortable clothes. "I know I am, we have an entire day of planning to do." Ambrosia said happily. "Are you sure it's safe for us to teleport?" I asked, looking at Lucinda. "I promise it is. Now everyone, grab onto each other." Lucinda said with a smile. I had one hand on the stroller and the other hand on Delilah. I was glad she decided to come. She was worried that her size would scare some of the humans but in truth they will have to get used to her if they want to come around. Some of
Pythia POV: I could hear the music playing before we even stepped outside, it was like a soft Jazz tempo, when we walked outside everyone stopped and looked at us before they all smiled and bowed their heads. Part of me felt a little shy at first and I'm not really sure why. They did an amazing job, roots had been pulled to cover all the tables, vines and flowers swirled their way around the roots giving it a gentle look. I looked over to the open field to see a large portion had been created by more roots that built the area to dance around it. Lights hung off of them, vines and colorful flowers were intertwined with them. "Lucinda, this is absolutely stunning." I said hugging her. "I thought it would be something different than what you are all used to. I even brought in human chefs to help cook dinner for everyone." Lucinda replied. "It's a nice touch, they can see how we are." Tye said, hugging her. "I'm glad Alley and Stephen approved of it. They seem to be doing well w
