Chapter 4

In the past, the army has a classification of monsters. Low-grade for the petty infected, medium for the monsters without intellectual knowledge, medium-high for those infected that can communicate and have a brain to plot things, high for those mutant and legendary monsters that only appear on the myths or legend, and lastly, the demons, they are highly intellectual being with so much greed.

If you think that you’re facing some high-graded monster… run!

There’s no one that can take that thing down! But the foolish kid that I’m holding keeps on banging my chest, fuck this is a delicate body! He’s saying ‘take that down! Take that down!’ I almost stumble when he grabbed my hair

‘come on! Let out the cold thing!’ he keep on saying I should let something out and fight that giant. I’m not stupid, he’s talking about my ice ability but I can’t take a risk and use it here! Inside this freaking body! I’ll think about how did he know my abilities when the time is right

I shouted when he grabs my hair tighter and his tears burst out, I shouldn’t care about it. Yeah, I’m already saving this little kid! But my own body betrayed me, I turn my head and saw the man earlier who throw the bed. Come to think of it, I still don’t know their names… doesn’t matter, they’ll all going to die one way or another

The kid struggle, foolish little thing want to save the most stupid person that I meet. The bed hero, I decided to call that man bed hero, has the talent to dodge the giant’s bat. Not bad

The kid squeezed my hand and looked at me with begging eyes and a running nose. If this kid is like this, I have no choice but to leave him. I kissed the top of his head before I turn my back

I hurriedly activated my core and put all the pressure on my palm. This should be a quick and strong attack. I don’t think that this body can afford to attack more than that, hurry Lina! Hurry and find your body sooner so you can enjoy saving that brats’ life

I discharge the pressure in the direction of the giant and I hit it! Well, it’s not a surprise. I’m the great Lina after all.

Blood forcefully come out of my body, I cough it and red liquid came out of my nose and eyes. My head spin and my vision doubled. It’s just a one offense attack! This body can’t handle hard labors ha?

Ice should be color blue with a mixture of white… right? I froze when I saw that it’s red. My ice is red! I hurriedly examine it, it’s still cold like ordinary but it’s red! Is there something wrong? Is this the effect of using my ability in a different body?

I squinted my eyes and saw that the giant is still moving inside! It’s alive! His eyes is in pure anger and started banging the ice wall, the ground shook. Woah! It’s still alive!

Infinite ice! I celebrate when I realized what happened… I successfully controlled infinite ice! How should I control it? I touch it and put some pressure, I tried to bend some ice just like what I usually do and I almost kiss myself when the ice inside pierce through the monster’s hip. More! I bent it over his heart

As I torture the giant that’s inside the ice wall, the baggage that I just save started to argue while I’m having fun.

Luckily, the little kid remind me about the thing that I wrote in white fabric. I forgot about that bombing, I noticed that his family is already prepared to leave. Yeah, baggage

I carry the little boy and started to walk

Some of the tag-along get back to the house saying that there’s no infected, I already clean it up so it’s already safe. I just let them

Don’t need those stupid things. It’s already 11 years since the greatest outbreak but there’s still some kind of creatures, honestly, I’m surprised that they survive and reach this point. What a lucky bunch

I already saw the checkpoint and militaries are on standby. I’m shocked when they didn’t fire like they usually do. Maybe they got the change of heart?

My forehead crumpled when I saw a walkie-talkie at one of the tables. They aren’t aware of it? the little kid guided me to one of the beds and express that I should rest, I didn’t even know how did I understand him but I really need rest. This whole thing is stressing me out!

Maybe, when I open up my eyes… everything will go back to normal

I woke up with a heavy head, my wish did not happen and as I contemplating if I should just kill myself off so I won't think so much about this situation or just… go with the flow

Choosing the latter one, I inhaled deeply and face the little thing on my side. Oh, what a surprise! I have a cute little guardian. Maybe he’s the reason that I was able to sleep soundly

My peaceful morning broke when I felt a cold thing at the back of my head. I saw the other baggage who decided to come with us here, they are looking at me with anger and saying that I’m a murderer

‘it sounds crazy but we clearly saw a cold and red thing came out from her!’ ‘he killed that big monster! She’s a monster herself! We need to kill her before she kills us first!’ ‘who would have thought that you are raising such a monster, George!’

I saw the little boys’ parents at the side, someone’s blocking and not allowing them to come near me. It’s fortunate that the little boy is asleep

Biting one of my fingers, blood rushed out. Some people look scared thinking that I might do some demon calling and I felt that the cold thing at my back was pressed more. Is that a gun? Someone rushed in and stopped me from writing…too late, fools

‘cramo’ I succeed in writing my former teams’ name. I felt that the gun in my head loosens up and a military guy suddenly grab me, shaking me. What the heck, dude! Yeah, I came from that team!

The same guy hurriedly go outside and came back with some old man. Someone handed me a pen and a piece of paper, thank you very much! Finally! Someone who have these essential things

I glared at them before writing ‘contact team cramo ASAP’ and when they saw it, the fuckers looked at each other and gazed back at me like I’m some kind of alien.

‘we almost die when we found out that the team Cramo even exists, what more if we contact them?’ I almost forgot that no one should know about my squad. ‘then, please contact Major Ronald Richardson, tell him that an ice user was found’ I showed what I just wrote to them and their face paled as if I’m asking for something that is out of this world

I circled the word ice user so that they’ll know what to tell him. I should have remembered that my uncle has a high position ‘what? Major? I know that Captain Richardson is already a notable soldier, but he isn’t a major right?’ my mind went blank when the stupid lieutenant utter some nonsense

Fortunately, they already reach for the communicating device and obeyed my orders. Honestly, I’m still against using that, it might bring danger

The people who just judge me earlier are bewildered by what they just witnessed. Ha, peasants

I almost shrieked out when someone grab me sideways and shake my whole body. What’s with these people? I’m so dizzy right now!

‘did you just said Ronald Richardson?!’ I almost forgot that my uncle is also my moms’ brother… I just shrug

What should I do? Explain this whole situation with these muted lips? I'm also frustrated as it is because I can’t hear anything! Now, you want me to explain?

She still shakes me violently and keeps on asking me questions. I told you, woman! I can't speak!

The shaking stop and she looked outside of the camp, someone came! I jump out of the bed and I saw that the little thing woke up, I carried him up to catch up with the visitors
