2024-10-29 19:42:56When Mister returned to Della's side in the waiting area, he had a HUGE smile on his face, "Hello again, Kitten, you look absolutely stunning tonight," he said in a voice so sweet that it made her want to puke.
Although he was indeed handome as hell in the cobalt blue taylored suit he had on, Della was instantly furious. She did not dare to ask what had happened in the study, even if she could. In her heart she felt that she already knew. She was sure that he had caught Caine trying to rescue her and that most likely....Caine was dead. She started to panic again, but she somehow managed to keep it together.
She wanted to hit him, or worse...she wanted to kill him. It took everything inside of her to keep calm and to not just bust him in the side of the head with the champagne bottle that was sitting in the ice bucket before her.
