AURORA

My eyes were wide open yesterday but I barely remembered anything that happened. My memory was still fuzzy, even till this morning. The only voice, among hundreds, that I perceived was Adrian’s and there were so many unanswered questions churning in my healed stomach.

I guess Adrian didn’t know I was a speedy healer because he looked so scared. I’ve never seen him that way before.

Anytime I remembered my failed escape attempt, pricks would stab my stomach. But I should’ve known it was a failure from the start. No matter how big Penelope’s ‘army’ was, one of Adrian’s Sigmas was as good as five.

Penelope… I wondered where she was. How could she just disappear? It didn’t make any sense. Was she able to escape, did someone take her away?

All this thinking gave me a terrible headache but yesterday’s venture wasn’t a complete waste of time. Lizra informed me this morning that they gathered all the smokegeese and it would be enough for the presently sick wolves, and also for the prod

ADRIANI’ve spent the last few hours, trying to understand the logic behind yesterday’s… interaction. I’ve had sex with the best. I’ve fucked the prettiest whores the territories could ever offer. I’ve handled high numbers of women at a time, my highest being too extreme to say.Yet this pup—even after leaving some of my favorite things behind—made me moan. How? It’s never happened. I’ve never had sex so electrifying that I would continue to fantasize about it till the next day.I wanted to believe that it was the fucking mate bond the goddess created but… why did I feel like there was more to it.I heard a knock on the door and sat up, knowing she had arrived. But I kept her for a minute and broke open a bottle of tequila, pouring it into a glass. I was certain she heard the sound of alcohol flowing because she impatiently knocked on the door. When the foam was gone and only the poison was left, I decided to free her… She might possibly have some trouble standing. The iron door opene

ADRIAN“Let’s get it over with.”I wasn’t going to waste a good conference room on the council, especially when there were just three of the brutes. Originally, I was expecting all of them since they’ve been begging to have a taste of Adrian Storm from the very first day.Still, this was a waste of precious time. I could think of better things to use the next hour for. I could finish what I started with Aurora…‘That’s the fastest it’s taken you to use someone’s name?’ Fox’s voice emerged from nowhere.‘Keep your fucking mouth shut.’“We feel the same way,” said the woman with coal-black hair. She wore a revealing black dress and every ornament adorned on her colored skin was in a deep blood-red color—her bracelet, shoes, necklace, earrings, rings… But there was something about the air around her that screamed, mysterious. It was hiding things that should easily be perceived by a wolf of my rank. She was on the seat straight across mine and the other two were also seated, their eyes o

KATRINA “Do you have any idea what you’re doing?” Hilda asked as Dash picked a bow and arrow, trying to target it carelessly at the red bulls-eye. I know I should be an encouraging mother and support him but seriously, I wonder why he tries. He’s terrible at it. Even I could handle a club better than he can shoot an arrow.‘I disagree. Someone dies anytime you get your hands on a club.’‘The only thing that dies when I handle a club is my self-esteem… unfortunately.’Hilda was watching Dash from a safe distance as he readjusted himself and got on a stance. She was shaking her head and I knew there were so many thoughts of how wrong his position is or how wrong his eye placement or how weakly he pulled his bow back… she was dying to correct him but was more interested in seeing him fail. They were both in white karate-ish uniforms with belts of their favorite colors around their waist. A black band was over Dash’s head for the full karate king look but that was not going to save him fr

HOURS BEFORE THE MEETING…‘PENELOPE’“We were so close… We almost had her but…” I clicked my tongue, shaking my head, sitting on a black leather chair that wasn’t as comfortable as the ones back home but… it would suffice.I didn’t know what traditions they had for their assembles in The Peril Chamber, except the few ones the mortal brain delivered to me, but no one else should be allowed to sit, except the one who wields the power—me. They said they gather here to discuss ticking bombs but today, the ticking bomb was seated in a chair and they were on the other side of my coal desk, standing like the servants they should be.From memories, I knew that TPC, as they call it, hadn’t changed… only the furniture had. The walls were covered in mold but not just green this time, orange and yellow had joined it. Windows were absent and the ceiling was an inch close to crumbling beneath us. As it was the dry season, the dripping water glitch had been temporarily fixed but the floor was still

AURORAI was probably going to be in the office for some time so I had to do something worthwhile. My eyes scanned the room, high and low, for any opening that would help me out of here. I looked up and for the first time, saw that the ceiling was so far away from the ground. I needed four more me-s to get up there. I could jump high but… not that high and there was no way out even if I did reach the ceiling. The floor was cozily carpeted as well and the only thing that looked like it’d help my predicament was the tall wall opposite me which was completely made of see-through glass.I steadily walked towards it, dragging one of the chairs along.‘That’s a bad idea, Arie.’‘Everything is a bad idea if I’m the one who suggested it.’‘Do you know how much trouble you’ll get in for this?’I groaned, stopping at a good distance from the glass wall. ‘He’s already done the worst to me.’‘You don’t understand! Every freaking wolf in the packhouse will hear and they’ll come straight after you!

AURORA He looked at me with mixed expressions and I found it hard to focus my eyes on him even though I was staring right at him. His orange eyes were as tiger-ish as ever and his midnight black hair was looking a bit pale.I was fast enough to put his diary/journal back in the drawer and close it, but not fast enough to get off his seat. If he caught me when I was jumping off it, it would be too suspicious.Adrian stayed at the door for a second more and walked towards me with a tiger’s grace. I took that motion as a cue for me to get off his seat and walk away. He took his seat back and I was on the other side of the desk, watching him.I don’t know why I asked but the things I read made me feel… different about him. “Are you alright?”He looked up at me and furrowed his brows, darkening his eyes. “Get out.”My eyes widened in surprise because that wasn’t the reply I was expecting. “Excuse me?”“The door’s that way,”

AURORA “Who was the Luna that sacrificed her life for her Alpha so her pack wouldn’t fall and what were her last words?”I only caught a few of her words and pieced them together. “Er… wasn’t it, Malinda Ink?”She closed the book in frustration with a loud thud. “No, Aurora. It was Heather Brown and her last words were ‘May the goddess spare us all’!” She had refused to call me Arie but at least, Aurora was better than miss. I shrugged, slurping in more spaghetti. “You haven’t answered a single question right!”I rolled my eyes. “You woke me directly from sleep, pushed some spaghetti towards me, and expected me to answer all your fucking questions right! I’m not a fucking morning person, Lizra!”She sighed, wanting to say something but the door swung open and Lizra was almost frightened out of her seat. A Sigma walked in with the same uniform as the others.“Do you have some beef with the door?” I growled at him and didn’t bother reading the emotion on his face if he had any.“The Al

It’s been more than a week she’s been here and I’m surprised I’ve only gotten on her twice with how crazy my masculine senses have been setting off.She hadn’t sprayed wolfguise today. Her coconut scent was the fastest thing that could make my dick hard. Sometimes, I hated how she made me feel. Most times… I enjoy it.The meeting with the council had drained every concern to be worried about and I couldn’t take my mind off their threats. I kept convincing myself that they were empty threats. Anyone who wanted to threaten the Alpha of Silverclaw pack had to be fucking ready for it.Yet, she did so bravely, and that demon stench… that air, that tone… It wasn’t something I could have mistaken. I hadn’t met another demon in years but this one… I didn’t want to think

  • The Dark Alpha's Unwanted Luna   AN EAVESDROPPING LUNA

KATRINAI leaned on the door, checking my surroundings for anyone around because a Luna eavesdropping on her own Alpha was not the kind of news I wanted to be spreading in the packhouse for the jobless busybodies to be gossiping about.Checking to see if his door was unlocked, I opened it by a soundless crack and set my eyes on him, the most handsome man I’ve ever met, sitting with his back faced to me on a chair similar to one from his office, and a table laid in front of him like a gift from the gods. The reading room was not very different from his office, he didn’t have a lot of style—I could confirm that—but there were custom-made shelves of books stacked over each other in this god of a room. The Alpha uses every free time he gets to read, and the only thing that’s hotter than watching Kane reading was staring at him lovingly, when he was over me, with that dark, insane, animalistic look in his eyes as he was about to… When was the last time we even made love? The heartache of

  • The Dark Alpha's Unwanted Luna   A NIGHTMARE ON A STORM

AURORA“Mom went too hard on the code. She was meant to make it impossible for everyone but me! Dang it!”I admired the space we all dropped in when we first came down and thought it had to be the best part of the mansion because it looked like somewhere you would travel to in a good dream. It was a large roomy area that looked like an apartment, the lights were so bright that you would’ve had a problem differentiating day from night, and in this case, it was already pitch dark outside. The cream-tiled floor caught my eye first with interesting and innovative designs that made me think of walking on the ground and the large equally tiled walls of matching grace drive you to reminisce of the sun. If it was a bit cooler in here, I would rethink returning to the surface—it’s not like anything better is happening up there—but I still didn’t understand how this was a mansion. It’s just a… looks like I was wrong because the best and better parts were yet to come. There were MORE floors and

AURORAAdrian wouldn’t stop reading the letter. He’s been devouring it. I needed to know what was in it. I had to because, without me, we may have never even found the golden statue. We didn’t know where we would end up so letters were secured in the mouths of all the Silverclaw emergency mailboxes. They have that on every mountain both in and out of their territory, they are protected under The Dark Alpha's law. I thought it was a smart move, for unfortunate emergencies like this. I wished we were able to leave messages for them too, tell them we were safe but I think the empty mail post is enough proof of that. But making the eagle statues gold wasn't the smartest choice since it attracted the kind of people that they didn't want near it. Is he trying to show off?Adrian loses points for that. If it wasn't him who designed it then, I was sure it would be Dylan. That crook. Gosh, I can't believe I miss him. I missed all of them. I missed the packhouse too and I missed my motherly

She backed away from me as soon as I let her go, glaring like she’d kill me, before walking out of my sight and heading to whatever thing she’d seen that made her declare we weren’t alone. Those were dangerous words to say on this mountain and whatever she’d seen could not be good.‘She’s going too far away, boss.’Fucking Fox, at least he was saying something meaningful for once. “Aurora,” I warned, turning around to grab her by hand, glad that she had not gone too far away because I wanted her glued to me every second of the day, and held her still…. I couldn’t lose her again. I’ve already taken too many chances.“Let me go, Adrian.”This beautiful, sexy nightmare would be the end of me. “Don’t expect to sur

Why couldn’t we have landed on the better side of the mountain? ‘And what makes you think this isn’t the better mountain?’ Goddess, not Evolet drilling me with questions now.‘Have you seen our luck, Ev? Have you seen how bad things are? I’m a hundred percent sure we’re in the worst place possible on this unbearable hump of snow.’We packed the tent as soon as the night died out and set off for the letter we were meant to find. I had wanted us to go as soon as he brought it up but he said I was tired and needed rest. Like he knew what I wanted! How many times do I have to remind him that he doesn’t own my body and can’t tell me what to do?‘Forever, because it doesn’t look like he’ll ever listen.’I hissed, clutching my frozen fingers. ‘Not another word from you, Ev.’ I couldn’t sound any angrier than that.He made sure I ate but didn’t bother eating himself—what a hypocrite—and when I told him to at least grab one o

AURORAMy body and senses shut down as we prepared ourselves for what would be a devastating car crash. I promised myself that if I survived this, I was never entering a car again. The first time I was in one, we almost exploded along with it—you know how the story goes after—and the second time, well… we’re about to fucking crash!I covered my head with my arms and awaited the impact, a scream ready to be torn out of my throat, bones prepared to break, heads set to crack, metal waiting to dismantle, fire about to lit up…Just waiting for all that havoc to wreak on us but… the collision never came. My body jerked out of my nightmare as my eyes popped open, and my breathing escalated when I tried to look around me. There wasn’t much I could see except for the blinding blue sky so I tried to turn my neck but the pain made me feel like the nightmare wasn’t so bad after all. With difficulty, I pulled my heavy right hand up and trie

AURORAAdrian didn’t give two shits about the creature in front of us that was emitting nightmarish screeches because he only made the car move faster and drove us right into it. I screamed when it sent the thing over the car, its screech still scarily audible even with how swiftly we were moving. My body jerked back when Adrian pressed down the accelerator like our lives depended on it—our lives actually depend on it—sending us faster than we were anything should ever be able to move. It felt like my face was going to peel off and I was going to fly out but the seatbelt kept me in check, and Adrian continued rushing us down the dirt path with those... things... behind us.'Since there is a lot of fucking things I don't know, can you please start with...
