" Wait!! Don't overreact. Let me think... Exactly what do you want me to do? Go and tell him that it was me and not you whom he saw that day?" I asked her.
" No!! That is too direct... It is a matter that needs to be handled very subtly. You don't have to tell him all that, he should understand it on his own, and then if he asks you if it was you, you can accept it. " She replied.
" And how may I know, he would understand on his own?? Do I have to wear a placard saying, 'Oh, it was me, you saw kissing another man and then flirted with you? " I asked.
" Stop being sarcastic. Be normal if you want to help. " She said as if I was the one seeking help from her.

" Please, bear with me, I would not have asked you for this favor if anyone else could have helped me, only you have the same face as me and can help me in this matter. I just want that in case, Chris chooses to tell everything to Nate, I will deny that it was not me he saw, maybe it was you, and you have to accept in front of Nate, Chris, and his family that it was you indeed. That's all..." She said as if it was nothing.
" That's all?? Really?? " I asked with a smile. But she knew I was annoyed as hell.

But let me tell you that your 'goody two shoes' image makes you highly unpopular with young men. No one wants a boring girl like you to be his girlfriend or wife. You need to change." She said.
" Please, I don't need your expert advice on my dressing sense or character. " I said bitterly.
" See, all you have to do is to dress in a sexy outfit and flirt with him if he approaches you. " She sounded as if it was a piece of cake. I was very apprehensive about it as I have never had any friends who were boys.
" If he is so experienced, he may find out within a few minutes that I don't have any experience regarding this. " I argued.
" All men are alike, he won't. Because he would not look beyond your dress and sexy body. Men are like that. " She said.
" We should not underestimate him, don't forget that he is an artist, and he must be having a keen observation. Do you really think he would believe me that he saw me that night instead of you? "
" I don't care what he thinks all I care is about Nate I should have something to back my story. " She said.
" I agree that Chris doesn't know me but Nate does, do you think Nate would ever believe that I did that? "
" Are you trying to find some kind of lame excuse to get out of the situation, if you don't want to do it say directly. Of course, your boring prim and the proper image is more important to you than my future and my whole life. " She was about to use her emotional blackmail card.
" Stop playing this emotional card with me, I want to help you..." I said before she could start her drama.
" Thank you so much, you are a sweetheart. I knew you will do it. I love you. " She said hugging me tightly and showering kisses on my face before I could convince her that we both can talk to Nate and tell him everything.
I was dreading doing something so outrageous for a girl like me.
"Thank you, bye, get ready by seven, we have to go to Nate's place for the party. I will get one of my dresses for you. "
" But your dresses are too... "
" Don't say another word. Your dresses are too boring and old-fashioned. No arguments, you are going to wear the dress which I choose for you. " She said.
" You?? Who doesn't even know what to wear for your engagement? How could you wear that obnoxious dress on such an occasion?" I said.
" Excuse me! That dress was designed by a very famous fashion designer."
" Ok, fine!! I will not get into that useless discussion but don't give me such a dress or I will not wear it. " I said.
" You can't back out now. I am so relieved that Chris can't do anything now. If he says anything to Nate, I will convince him that it was you. I love you. Bye. " She said and went out.

It was evening and I came back from my work studio with our aunt, Sophie, who has been staying after her husband dies a few years ago. She was working with me in my office.
As I walked into the room, Sanya greeted me holding the dress bag in her hand, a big smile on her face.
" Why are you so late, did you forget that we have to go to that party? Or have you changed your mind, and was avoiding going to that party with me? " She asked.
" Oh, please don't overreact, I will be ready in just 5 minutes. Give me ten minutes to breathe. " I said throwing myself on the bed.
" No!! You will need at least 30 minutes to look like me. " She raised an eyebrow.
" I already look like you. " I replied. But she ignored it and gave a dress bag to me.
" What is this? "
" I told you, I will get the dress for you," she said, holding up the bag.
I took one look at the bag and felt my stomach drop and had a sinking feeling that this was not going to be good.
"I will not wear your dress," I said trying to keep my voice neutral.
"It's a perfect dress for you to wear to the party tonight. You're going to look so hot!" she replied, practically bouncing up and down with excitement.
She pulled the dress out of the bag, and I couldn't help but notice how short, tight, and revealing it was.
The fabric was a deep shade of red, and it looked like it was made to show off every curve of the body.
The low-cut neckline left only very little to the imagination. It was definitely a dress that was meant to be seductive and alluring, and I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable just looking at it.
