>>> GABRIELLA's pov <<<<

Running through the aisles and into the alleys, these men wouldn't relent at all.

They kept on chasing me while I enhanced my pace, if they ain't giving up then I won't either.

Suddenly, my eyes caught sight of an ineffable building ahead of me. Its walls were endowed with pure gold, and glints of expensive lights brighten the whole scenery.

However, the open entrance was heavily swarmed by people penetrating inside, they are dressed elegantly, and their sight screams that of affluence.

Some of the paparazzi are keenly taking their pictures, a flicker of their cameras flashes here and there. And then, there were the burly guards who were stationed at the door.

Instantly, I slowed my pace when I got nearer, glancing behind my back and I saw the men shrinking their speed too.

I guess like me, they also didn't want to attract a lot of attention to themselves.

I hurriedly wore my heels properly while reaching closer to the entrance, I was trying to catch my breath as I jostled past the multitude of people.

Even in my dilemma, I caught some of the paparazzi, taking my pictures while some were staring admiringly at me.

Phew! I was able to get away from the populace.

I precipitously put on graceful strides towards the guards who stood at the large door of the main entrance, I guess a party was going on inside.

Fuck, I didn't plan on coming here, but I have to since I need to get away from those pathetic swines.

I doubt if Regina sent them, but if I somehow find out she has a hand in this... I swear, I will break her bones and give her the privilege to hear her bones cracking.

"Where's your pass, ma'am?" One of the muscular guards who stood powerfully at the entrance asked me.

The other guards glance towards our way, their lustful eyes undressing my body but I didn't cringe, I was already used to such looks since I was a stripper.

I nervously put on a slight chuckle to the guard in front of me, then I briefly glance behind the men who were after my life —I saw them struggling to blend in with the bustling crowds and paparazzi.

Hence, I turned back to the guard and I intensely said to him "Pardon me, please. I'm one of the souls who are gonna perform at the party, and I, unfortunately, forgot my pass at home," I lied perfectly, feigning one of my alluring smiles at him.

"Okay, then!" He steely gave me a go-ahead, but I inwardly knew he fell helplessly for my charms. If it were to be someone else, I doubt if he would give them the humanity to pass on.

Then, I proceeded forward but I did glimpse behind at the men again just to see if they are gone.

“Huh? H-how possible?” I creased my brows when I saw one of the men showing his pass to the guards at the entrance, and they were all permitted to step into the party.

Oh no!

"Somebody help me! Those men wanna abduct me!!" I was now screaming crazily, scurrying forth as I jostle among the multitude of people who happens to be assembling around in a circle.

Abruptly, I incidentally rammed into a wall, causing my purse to slip from my hand as I instantly let out a painful groan -ugh!

Jeez, I ached. Pulling away from the hard concrete, I was brushing my forehead with my palm while I felt extremely disorientated for a moment.

I perk up my blue eyes, wanting to scowl at the wall for what it has done to me. But instead, I met a pair of two sharp grey eyes, they are so sharp and bright they are indistinguishable from the moonlight.

My shoulders slumped, and my mouth is narrowly agape at the drop-dead gorgeous man in front of me.

Hold for a second, my brain was strangely remembering this remarkable man in front of me —Reagan Massimo Hidalgo!

He's the first son of Mr. Reagan, he's the most moneyed and feared billionaire in the whole of Italy and across the country!

He’s a wolf Reagan, and the Reagan wolf family is known to be exceptional, and powerful. Dominant. Feared. Untouchable. Dreaded —you fucking name it!

They swim in money, they possess a lot of conglomeration in their wing —ugh, I'm lost, and I don't have the exact words to describe how influential these people are in this county and worldwide too.

I twitched, my eyes stripping this figured image in front of me who's got a chiseled handsome face. By the devil's balls, this man is hotly breathtaking!

Hidalgo's got a sharp jawline as if it was been carved by the gods themselves, his raven flaxen hair was slightly ruffled but it made him look tempting! His thick brows hugged together, and his bulgy arms protruded in his expensive suit.

Hence, my blue eyes peek down at his outstretched hand and I saw a golden engagement ring!

"Oh no!" I mutter in despair, the whole realization was now dawning on me as I looked around the crowd.

Everywhere was dead silent, and some of the guests were flashing at me displeasingly and loathingly —I guess I had interrupted something.

I stared back at Hidalgo, and I caught sight of a woman who was now standing beside him. She's pretty but maintains a deadly frown on her face.

—If looks could kill, I would have been dead by now.

"You bitch!" She cried directly at me, she was now proceeding toward me with the intent to charge at me.

"Lucy!" Hidalgo growls, his cold voice scaring the tiny devils out of me. He grasps the lady's arm, stopping her and she gasps to her utmost shock.

Her eyes enlarged at him, everyone was now murmuring and whispering in a hushed tone among themselves.

Lucy, as she was called, unhurriedly settled down as she gloomily steps backward, standing once again behind her fiancee —but, her venomous eyes sunken on me.

Hidalgo's sharp grey eyes never left my figurine, his face was blank but I could discern the outrage and hostility roaming in them.

I knew he was irate, and of course, he has every right to be enraged at me for breaking into his engagement party!

"What's going on here?!" A commanding voice questioned, the voice throbbing in the walls as all eyes pivoted to the man who was ambling powerfully towards us.

Some of the guests were now beginning to bow at this man whose aura screams of authority, and the worldly woman behind him appears to be his wife as they both stopped in between Hidalgo and me.

"Father!" Hidalgo bowed at the man. Oh, this is Mr. Reagan the fifth wolf, and he's Hidalgo's father!

"Father Reagan!" Lucy cried, running into the arms of the man as she lamented. "This worthless woman from nowhere bashed the happy moment!" She informed, placing her head on his shoulder.

"Wait? It wasn't intentional!" I defended, glaring at her. I don't mind speaking out, one thing I detest a lot is when a false accusation is being laid against me.

"Silence!" Hidalgo growled callously at me, his bearing was intimidating yet I didn't cower.

Consequently, I dragged my eyes at him again and I saw the stun racing in his beautiful eyes —men who are influential and important as this are always meant to be dreaded; they feed on people's fears.

I must truly confess that I was startled by him but I didn't wanna reveal it, I despise anything relating to intimidation and I don't like being pressured or whosoever.

Hence, another pair couple; a preeminent man and his wife emerges in their uncompromising expressions and I guess they are Lucy's parents.

"Mr. Reagan, what's happening?" I heard the man whispering to Hidalgo's father.

His eyes carefully zipped around the crowds gazing at us, and the masses who were busily snapping pictures of us —and I inwardly knew that this occasion was presently going on live.

"Hello everyone! I'm greatly apologetic for everything that occurred tonight!" Mr. Reagan was saying, everyone hung back while giving attention to him with all eyes rested on him.

Pardon my overthinking, but I think Mr. Reagan's eyes were specifically on me. Hmm, that's strange.

I mean, right now, I could tell apart the interest and immense stuns flickering in his eyes —as if he knew me before!

"...and to announce to you'll, this woman here shall be my son's bride!" Mr. Reagan spilled, moving closer to me and he stood literally in front of me with a smug smile tug on his lips.

"WHAT!" I sharply gasped, gaping incredulously at the man who stood in front of me.

Instantly, Lucy fainted.

Hidalgo who was likewise astounded by his father's words immediately caught Lucy in time, and she laid unconsciously in his manly arms.

Everyone gasped in immense shock, the entire hall roared into chaos and turmoil, vociferous whispering and grumbling reign in the air at the twisted episode.

What the hell just happened?!
