Chapter 4

 The rain did as he said. His hands shuddered to see that. '' You....are....'' he was left speechless. '' Yes, I can't see,'' she made it sound so simple. '' No wonder they managed to bring you there and push you down,'' Odin says letting out a sigh. 

'' And I knew that you would come to save me. Is this meeting brought by fate?'' Rain thoughts in her mind. In the silence, he looked at her again. ''So, will you tell me something about yourself? Or you still don't feel like telling about the one who pushed her down?'' he asked staring at her face. 

She was silent. He was feeling frustrated now. '' Are you something like the shy type who doesn't like talking to anyone? '' he remarks. ''No, I...am...I ....'' she has been mumbling about it for a while. 

'' Alright, I will tell you about it. The thing is...''. He was listening to what she said. After hearing about everything He was getting angry inside. '' How can they do this?'' he shouts. She was not able to see his face but she could tell what kind of an expression he would be wearing right now. 

'' This is a daily thing. I am, used to it now,'' she said. He was not able to believe that such kinds of people also exist. '' I guess it's the same in every pack. Why do they have to do this? The stronger ones are supposed to protect the weak ones. Why do they do things like these?'' he thoughts. 

She is the proof of the weak one. Even though she's blind they aren't sparing her off this treatment. This thought was making him displaced than ever. '' You have suffered a lot didn't you?'' he asked gazing at her face. 

She smiled at him. '' I am used to them, I can't see or work so I have to bear this rough treatment of theirs. I guess I deserve it.'' 

'' You don't seem like a bad person to me. Then why do you deserve this?''. 

'' Don't worry about that. So what are you doing here? You don't seem like a resident here. I can't distinguish you by smell,'' Rain turns to Odin. 

'' Yes, I am not a resident here. I am from another village I am here with my Be-'' he blocked his mouth with his hands. 

''You're what?'' she seemed puzzled. He forgot that he was not planning to reveal his identity to her. 

'' I came here with my Friend he's waiting outside the border of this village. We are out on patrol. The hunters are wandering here and there. We have to be aware of them you see. They are selling wolves and killing them for trade. You should stay careful too,'' Odin warns her. 

'' I know, My friend Bella told me about it. She's caring towards me. The only remaining person in my family,'' A genuine smile appeared on her face when she said that. 

'' The rest of her family?''. Doesn't she have anyone in her family? What about her parents? Is she all alone in her family? 

'' Destiny is cruel to us,'' he comments. '' You see, I have also lost my family when I was young. Don't ask me how that happened. I can't bring myself to say that.'' 

'' He's the same as me?'' she could not believe what he was saying. He had gone through the same fate as her the same pain. Maybe that's why he can understand her feelings. 

'' I don't open up my feelings to anyone. You are the only one with whom I have shared my feelings. You have to be a special one. My friends or the people around me see me as a rude person who only abides by the rules and all. But I am not the same as they think I am,'' he said letting out a sigh. 

She wanted to find out how he looked. What face he was making when he said those things. Is it sad? Is it happy? What kind of feeling is he has now? She wanted to find out about them.  

Then he looked at her. '' All these while I was the one who has been speaking. Don't you have anything to say about yourself?'' he asked with a grunt. 

She was wondering something in her mind. '' Well...umm...I ...'' she could not gather her words now. This may be the first time she managed to speak with a guy properly. All this while she used to avoid them. Then she recalled how he held her down back then from falling. 

'' You...must be strong... that's why...you managed to secure me in your arms. Saving me from falling, '' she says in a low voice. 

'' Well, I guess I am as I train almost every day. And you are quite easy to lift. You hardly weigh anything. Don't you eat?'' he asked. 

Then she recalled that Bella had told her they have fewer resources. '' The thing is..'' when she began to speak he could sense something. 

'' Someone's coming this way. Come to me,'' he said taking her by the hand. Then some footsteps come closer to where they were sitting. 

'' See Bella, there are no signs of anyone here. She's not here,'' shouts a voice. It was Grace along with Hazel following behind her. There was Leah too she held onto Bella's hand. 

'' Rain, where are you?'' shouts Bella looking for her friend around the stones. But there was no one there. '' Where did she went to?'' Hazel turns to Grace. 

'' I don't know, maybe she had hit her head in the stones and had died. Or she must have become the ghost as humans do,'' Grace replied mocking her. 

'' Oh Grace, you should not make fun of the dead. She can't rest in peace in the other world,'' Leah comments. 

'' You are right. I should not do that,'' says Grace with a chuckle. '' Anyway, it's not my worry whether she's alive or not. Now no other beta or omega or anyone will find her attractive. The eyesore is gone.'' 

'' Agree,'' Leah added. '' How can you think of her like that? Just because we are of lower class you can't behave like this towards us,'' Bella shouts turning into her wolf form. 

'' Hey, you are becoming too much arrogant you see. You don't know what we can do to you,'' shouts Grace. All of them turn into their wolf forms. All three of them were cornering Bella. 

Then all of a sudden they hear a noise. It was coming from behind the stones. There was Rain along with Odin. He was top of her now. They managed to escape there in such a short time that they had to stay that way to hide from them. 

Rain could feel his breath on her neck. But when Rain heard them trying to beat up Bella she could not keep her anger in check. How can they do that to her? She was about to shout then Odin covers her mouth with his hands.
