Lust At The First Sight

Erwin displayed little expression except for his downcast eyes, which revealed his disappointment. The ring, which Erwin believed Anna would joyfully accept, had been flung aside and was now useless on the floor.

"You were born with a monster." Anna spoke. "And you will die a monster. I ought never to have fallen in love with a monster like you."

Erwin said nothing; he was too stunned.

"I do not want to marry you. How can you make me happy? You are the cause of my suffering. I would have been happier if, from the time we first met, you had slit my throat, so I wouldn't have to endure the agony of being raped."

"My dear...", Erwin said, looking at Anna with an affectionate but sorrowful gaze. Erwin peered deeply into Anna's face, as though he were gazing into her soul. Afterward, he gently stroked her red hair.

"You are the only reason why I wish to wake up every morning and carry on with my day. My only desire is to leave this cursed palace and embark on a new life with you."
