I saw myself floating in some kind of endless void. The vast surroundings were just made of blended white and pink in an ethereal light. I could see no edges, just an infinite space.

How did I get here? Where am I?

Suddenly, I heard a voice from the void, its presence felt calm.

“Zephyrine”

That voice sounds familiar…

I turned, and a figure materialized in front of me. It was the gentle face of my mother, Astrid. I felt so overjoyed seeing her again and reached out to hug her, but my arms passed through her as if she was to smoke.

I was so confused.

“Mom…what’s going on?”

“I am sorry to have left you so soon, my child. But your journey has begun.”

My what?

“Mom…what are you talking about?”

“Be cautious, trust no one easily. Your powers will wreck the world if you’re not careful.”

Powers? What powers? Is this some kind of hallucination I am suffering from?

“Mom, you know I don’t have powers, I don’t understand what you’re saying.” But her form began to fade. I was desperate. I reached

Zeph’s POVAfter Vixxen showed me around the pack’s space, and not forgetting to crack some jokes and make me blush, he led me to the training ground. The clearing was very wide, surrounded by dense trees. The ground was marked with faint scuffs and dents, evidence of countless sparring in the area.“Let’s begin now. Shall we?” he gestured to the open area.“Firstly, we need to know the kind of powers you possess. The one you displayed at the ball is telekinesis. I would like you to try it again.”“I tried it this morning, it made a lot of effort trying to carry a cup of water by mere inches, you know.”“It’s progress either way. Now you see those rocks over there, try and move them.”I took in a deep breath and stretched out my hands, focusing on the small rocks a few feet away. It wobbled slightly but didn’t lift from the ground.I tried again and again, trying to replicate the same thing I did in the morning, but nothing happened. My brows furrowed as frustration crept in.“Ugh. Th

Zeph’s POVThe next morning, as I brushed my hair in front of the big mirror in my room, my mind drifted to the tense atmosphere between Terran and Vixxen. A soft knock came at the door.“Come in,”A servant stepped in, bowing slightly before speaking.“Miss Zephyrine, Alpha Terran requests your company for breakfast in the dining hall.”I raised an eyebrow, surprised. “Alright, I’ll be there shortly. Thank you.”After wearing the appropriate dress for training, I made my way to the dining hall, the enticing aroma of freshly baked and sizzling meals filling the atmosphere.Terran was already seated, his usual commanding presence softened by the smile he gave me as I entered.“Good morning, Zeph,” he greeted, gesturing to the seat opposite him.“Good morning, Alpha Terran,” I replied, settling into the chair.“Alpha?” he said with a hint of surprise in his voice, “Since when did you start calling me that?”“Since now,” I said, with a faint shrug, keeping my tone neutral. “It’s a way of

Just as I thought it was over, I heard another feral growl. A massive wolf charged into the clearing. It moved so fast; its claws and teeth tearing at the wolf on top of me. The wolf howled in pain and the wolf that saved me stood in front of me, its fur dark and its eyes were full of fury. The wolf feels familiar, but it isn’t Terran. One rogue ran and snapped at his side, drawing blood, but the wolf didn’t flinch, the sheer power the wolf had was unlike anything I have seen before, it was dealing with the rogues like it was nothing.Blood and fur flew as the wolf fought without breaking a sweat. Its growls shook the ground, and the remaining rogues, realizing they couldn’t win, turned tail and fled into the forest. As the last of them disappeared, the wolf swayed on its feet, its body was covered in deep wounds. I held my breath as I saw it collapse, shifting back into human form.“Vixxen,” I gasped, crawling towards him, ignoring the pain that I felt in every part of my body. His i

Zeph’s POVI was able to fully recover the following day. Ready to meet Vixxen. Just as I reached for the door, a knock interrupted me.I opened the door to find Terran standing there. I couldn’t read the expression on his face. “Good morning,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck.“Good morning, Alpha Terran,” I replied. His lips twitched. “Still with the Alpha? I thought we settled that.”I chuckled. “Force of habit.”His smile faded a bit. “I wanted to apologize…for yesterday. I shouldn’t have said what I said to Vixxen, it was out of line.”I studied him, he looked very sincere, it was very clear that he meant it.“I appreciate that,” I said softly. “But I am not the one you should be apologizing to.”“I will talk to him…settle it out.”“Alright. I accept your apology.”He nodded, his tensed shoulders were at ease. “Are you going to see him?”“Yes.”Terran’s look was odd, but he didn’t argue. “Just…be careful.”I tilted my head. “Why are you so different from him?”He avoided my

  • The Cursed Omega    Book of secret

After I was done with Vixxen, I headed to the library. I admired the scene as I ran my fingers over the books on the shelves. It's rare for me to come across this many books. The few I have touched are the ones that my mother has given me before.I didn't know which to start from, but I felt myself getting pulled to a particular shelf. I checked the tag and saw that the shelf had books that talked about old legends and prophecies."Interesting..." I muttered under my breath. I picked a book and looked through it. There were a lot of strange writings that I didn't understand. As I dropped the book back, it looked as if I saw another book glow in my eyes.I blinked, confused and curious as I reached out for it. The book looked a bit dusty and I blew them off. When I saw the front cover, I held my breath. The book cover had the same tattoo I had on my shoulder. I couldn't believe that. I didn't know if I should feel excited or strange.I always thought the tattoo was just a bad luck thin

I took a step back, but even without the rope binding them, i still felt connected to him in a way i couldn’t explain.No. I refused to accept this.“I don’t feel anything,” i lied, brushing off my gown. “And I’m done playing games.”Sage studied me carefully, like he could see straight through me. “Running won’t change the truth.”“I’m not running,” i snapped, spinning on my heel. “I’m walking away.”Without another word, i strode off into the festival, ignoring the way my heart clenched with every step I took. Her stomach dropped. “Where did she go?”Petra’s heart clenched. After coming so far, to hear that Zeph was gone was a cruel twist of fate.Terran must have noticed her reaction because he leaned forward slightly. “You can stay here for a while. My men can help look for her.”She hesitated. There was no reason to trust this man—yet, what choice did she have? The only lead she had was now out of reach.Slowly, she nodded. “Alright.”Terran’s lips curled slightly. “Good. She’s a good person, you know.”Hearing that made Terresa’s chest tighten. “She always had a good heart,” she whispered, emotion threatening to spill over. With a final nod, she turned and left the meeting hall, her mind clouded with thoughts. The moment the door closed behind her, the warmth in Terran’s expression vanished, replaced by something cold and calculating.Terran leaned back in his chair, fingers tapping rhythmically against the polished wood of the table. Zeph looked at the book he was holding. She held her own book tightly. "Where did you get it?" she asked."Someone from the Starlight pack left it here a long time ago."Her pulse quickened. "Who?"He leaned his head a little to the side, looking like he wasn't sure if he should tell her. Then he sighed. "She looked… a lot like you."It clicked. It had to be her.“You met my mother,” she said, excitement and nervousness filled her voice."Your mother?"She nodded, trying hard not to show her feelings. "If she looked like me and came from the Starlight pack, then it must be her."Sage exhaled slowly, glancing down at the book before meeting her gaze again. "She never mentioned having a daughter. But… she did say her child was separated from her at birth."A sharp inhale caught in her throat. That lined up exactly with what Ashral had told me.Her hands shook a little as she held the book tightly to her chest. "Do you know her?" she asked, nervous about the answer. He gave a short nod.

Zeph’s POVIn a dreamI saw myself covered in blood. I heard people screaming all around me. I didn't know what was happening, but I saw that I was moving. I suddenly ripped out someone’s heart from their chest. Wait…what’s going on? Why am I doing that? I tried to stop myself, but it was as if my body had a mind of its own.But I felt everything. The weight of the heart in my palm. The way my fingers wrapped around it, and how it beat just once before going still. My body moved again, stepping over lifeless figures as if I belonged to this carnage. The bodies… they weren’t just strangers.Terran. Ashral. People from my pack.Dead.A strangled scream tore from my lips as I reached for them, but my body didn’t follow my will. Instead, I turned away, as if they were nothing.No. No, no, no!This isn't me! I tried to speak, to demand answers, but my body only let out a cruel, twisted laugh, one that didn’t belong to me.Then everything went black.I woke up suddenly with a loud gasp. My

My eyes darted around, searching for where it came from. and then I saw him.A man stood a few feet away, his presence stood out effortlessly. He had dark brown hair that framed his sharp handsome features and warm honey-colored eyes that looked around the battlefield. It was annoyingly perfect and he didn’t come alone.Behind him, warriors clad in dark, intricate armor moved swiftly, their movements precise as they restrained the Kota fighters. The Kota warriors were quickly tied up with strange, glowing chains that pulsed with energy. I narrowed my eyes at the man as he walked towards me in a causal manner. The morning air was crisp as Zeph, Terran, Ashral, and a group of warriors set out toward the territory Terran had chosen for her. The warriors carried her luggage, something she never imagined needing.Zeph chuckled, glancing at the bags. "I entered your pack with nothing, not even a pair of clothes, and now I step out with full luggage set. Who would’ve thought?"Terran smirked. "It all belongs to you, Zeph. You’re still a member of my pack, no matter what. If I had my way, I would’ve packed even more, but I know you wouldn’t accept it."She rolled her eyes playfully. "Damn right, I wouldn’t. I’m leaving for just a little while, not relocating like some noble woman."She turned to Ashral. “Why did you decide to follow me though?”Ashral huffed. And now, look—our pack was attacked because of her.The room was filled with quiet agreement. Some people nodded, looking pleased, while others looked serious. Then, an elder said, "Let's vote on it. For the safety of the pack, Zeph must be sent away. This isn’t up for debate, and even Terran cannot overrule us on this.”Terran sat at the head of the table, tapping his fingers at a steady beat on the table, and his face gave away nothing. When Zeph, Vixxen, Ashral, and the others arrived in the Terran's territory, they felt very upset. What they saw was terrible. Buildings were broken, a strong smell of blood filled the air, and many injured warriors were on the ground. Some were getting help, but others were too weak to move. The battlefield was quiet and still, which was scary.Zeph barely took in the destruction. Her mind was on one person."Where's Terran?" Zeph yelled, running past the hurt warriors. "Where is he?" Some of them shook their heads, showing their pain. "We don't know," one of them finally said.“He fought their leader—someone powerful. "And then…” He winced, gripping his side.
