Chapter seventy five

Anita's pov

I know,” I replied, my voice filled with determination. “But I won’t let him harm this pack. Not again.”

For the next three days, the tension within the pack only grew. Patrols were doubled, and everyone was on high alert. I spent hours in the throne room, going over strategies and plans with Beta Luke and the other elders, trying to anticipate Darius’s next move.

But despite all our preparations, I couldn’t shake the feeling that we were missing something. That Darius had a plan, and we were walking right into it.

On the third day, just as the sun was beginning to set, a scout came running into the throne room, his face pale and his eyes wide with fear.

“Alpha Orion!” he shouted, his voice trembling. “Darius... he’s here. He’s at the northern border.”

My heart skipped a beat, and I stood up quickly, my mind racing. “Is he alone?”

The scout nodded, his expression grim. “Yes, Alpha. But he’s demanding to speak with you. He says it’s urgent.”

I exchanged a quick glanc
