Chapter Twenty

Anita's pov

"Hi, Anita," She said with a smile across her lips.

"Hello" I retorted faintly, trying to recall her face if I had met with her anywhere. But no, I haven't.

"Adjust a little please." She said, and I made a quick shift for her.

She sat on the lawn, close to me.

"So what's up?" I said, looking at her.

"Yeah. I saw when you were taking the water to the drum, you are really hard working." She remarked.

Smiles spread across my lips as she complimented me. I was happy to hear such from her. For a very long time, no one had ever complimented my hard work, even a bit, no one had.

It was just complaints that always filled the air which I had gotten used to. If any one wanted to make a compliment, they were always filled with grumbles and gritting of teeth, which barely happened by the way.

She took my hand into hers and started playing with it, "I have always admired your resilience in this pack, I was wondering if we could be—"
