Maya’s POV

Despite my hesitation, I knew I had no choice. If I wanted to save Anita from the twisted web that Luna Nora and Alpha Ethan had spun, I had to tell her the truth. She deserved to know the danger lurking around her, and I couldn’t stand by and watch as they dragged her down in their twisted plans for Alpha Orion. My loyalty to Ethan felt like a burden, a weight that had lost all meaning in the face of what was right.

I made my way slowly to Anita’s room, my mind racing, my heart pounding with anxiety. I stood outside her door for what felt like an eternity, staring at the wood grain as if it would somehow reveal the right words for me to say.
