Simon stood in his chamber, preparing to retire for the night. As he settled down into his bed and closed his eyes, a knock on his chamber door startled him.

Thinking it would be Oswald or Baron, Simon hurriedly made his way to the door and opened it, only to find Myra standing there. His breath caught in his throat, and he stuttered, trying to say something. But before he could utter a coherent word, Myra pushed past him and walked into the chamber.

Confused and taken aback, Simon followed her. "Myra, I... I'm sorry. I should have told you that I followed you. I just couldn't imagine a life without you, and..." he began, desperately trying to explain himself.

To his surprise, Myra burst into laughter. The sound was harsh and mocking, echoing through the chamber. She laughed for a while before abruptly stopping, then looked at Simon dead in the eye. "I wouldn't have bought that if I didn't know the truth," she said, her voice dripping with disdain.
