He was hidden between the rocks. However, the sound of bird wings hovering above drowned out his heavy breath.

It was dark, and he couldn’t see any of them in the space between the rocks. Nonetheless, one thing was certain, there were hundreds of birds attracted by the majestic force of Bianca.

She moved soundlessly towards Crave, looking much taller and much stronger than ever before. Crave couldn’t shift entirely into a wolf. He was paralysed by the fear and didn’t even think about putting up a fight.

Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, big cold claws snatched his arms so that Crave couldn’t move even an inch. Bianca lifted him without any effort like an eagle and flew over the rock in the cloud of other birds.

The claws pierced Crave’s arms; soon after, streaks of blood stained his defenceless body. He even kept his legs still because every abrupt jerk electrified his body with pain.

So, frozen like an icicle, Crave hovered in the black cloud of birds, not knowing what he wa

Drops of water were falling from her as she sat in the same room, under the same black ceiling and on the same oak chair as a week ago. She said nothing, waiting for Dervel to begin. What should her feelings towards him be? Awe or Disdain? Admiration or Disgust? It was still too early to say. “You’ve got balls, Jenn,” Dervel’s face this time was all crystal clear. In the place of the red glow which shone last time, they sat in the light of the golden bulbs. Facing a lengthy moment of silence, he continued: “After how much I owned you last time… And after discovering my desire to drink your blood... Do you know that I was just one step from biting into your neck?” Jenn still kept silent. She felt the same pain as then, all over her body. But this time, wet clothes soothed the hurting spots. Finally, she spoke: “I know what I felt. You were not supposed to do it. Not then, and never again.” “Hahaha!” Dervel’s eyes filled with devilish joy. “So, you think that I spared you j

The bodies lay like withered leaves, a really unparalleled sight of abandoned werewolves. In the middle of the battlefield, Bianca crouched with her head hidden between her bloodshot wings. Michael was not too far, and although his eyes were open, he didn’t move - too weak to do anything except breathe. They both kept silent, one of them terrified to death by things she had done, the other fighting for survival. Luckily, werewolves’ bodies generate much faster than human ones, so by noon Michael was able to move. He saw her still hidden inside her wings and, before saying anything, decided to get closer. “Bianca…” he whispered. “Can you look at me?” Michael was a bit scared of going up to her. He was afraid to see her face now, the crow’s one. “Go away!” she whimpered, her body shook. “I don’t want anyone to see me!” “Bianca!” Michael’s heart beat faster. “Why so? It’s me, Michael. You saved my life.” “I saved your life?” Bianca laughed through her tears. “Look aroun

"Ristel, I promised not to bother you unless it's truly necessary," Dervel's voice came through the receiver, tinged with concern. "It's about Jasmine. She might be in danger." The silence on the other end was disheartening, but Dervel pressed on. "What do you say? Can I count on you?" He held his breath, waiting for a response. "Where is she now?" Ristel, never one to answer questions, replied with a question of his own. "Downpour," Dervel carefully pronounced the name of the town where Jasmine lived. "Thank you, Ristel." He added his gratitude before the line abruptly disconnected. He took solace in the fact that, from now on, his daughter would be safe. [at Jenn's place] Jenn gazed at Samuel's photograph and nervously bit her lip. With each passing moment, her longing for his presence grew stronger. She knew that her very existence depended on winning him over. "I can't keep myself away from you any longer. I need you now!" she whispered, as if Samuel were there with her, kiss

“Those bastards! They will not get away with it!”, Stacy looked at the werewolves’ bodies lying all over the place. They were all dead including Jester, who had his throat ripped off and stared hollowly far ahead. As Stacy called his pack from now on, the Avengers, sniffed the place thoroughly, trying to discover what exactly happened there. The conclusion was not that obvious, since in addition to Michael’s smell there was a strange one - a new creature whom they’d never met before. “Bury them with due respect,” the dwarf ordered and they immediately, they all began digging. It looked funny seeing a dwarf as a commander of fully grown werewolves, perfect machines for killing but the truth was that all the pack trusted him more than Dervel. They used to say that Dervel was a good Alpha as long as everything went well. As soon as something was wrong, he was a very unpredictable leader. Brutal, violent and disrespectful. His only trusted weapon was fear. That is why so man

[kisses of the river] The river tossed them like crazy, up and down, left and right, but Michael kept Bianca firmly, because he knew that if he let her go, she would drown. Body to body, neck to neck, they floated with the current, powerlessly struggling to take a breath.Suddenly, Bianca tightened Michael’s hand, which he had put around her waist. She was short of breath, either out of panic or because the violent hits of water were about to strangle her. Michael guessed straightaway what was wrong. He took a deep breath, turned his head towards her, and kissed, giving her a bit of air. She greedily took life from his lips and after one sip, she accepted another, then the next and one after another, every time Michael was ready to kiss her. Those kisses were life-giving; however, they made Michael terribly exhausted. But he knew that without them, she would certainly die. Fortunately, the current got weaker at one point, and their bodies slowed down, giving them some respite. The

"First round! Welcome to the show everybody! We do not fight for fun! We do not fight for money - at least, most of us say so! We do not even fight for women! Although it's good to have one on your side when your body bleeds, like after a dog fight. But we fight for what?!" the speaker suspended his voice. "We fight for blood!" the crowd cheered madly as another pair of fighters entered the ring. "We fight for blood!" "For blood!" "For blood!" "For blood and until the bloody last drop of blood!" the speaker joined the crowd, and the whole mess sparked off. The bell rang to commence the first round. The fighter standing in the left corner wore only yellow shorts, whereas the other one from the right corner had red pants on his hips. They had no gums protecting their teeth. Both were muscled, both were big, and both were ready to kill or be killed. The audience demanded a show. They had paid a lot of money to see not the winner, but the loser more. The fighters had been conscripte

  • The Crowolf. When Love Crosses Species.    Chapter 23 - Reunion

It was a peculiar sight to see three glass vials with three different liquids inside. The middle one was red and two external ones were green and blue. They looked so cheerful like the paints used by children to make a nice picture. But in reality, each of them was an ingredient of a mixture capable of changing people beyond recognition. The trick with those elements was that, separately, each of them had a different property. “The green one could erase your short-distant memory, the blue deprives you of any love for anyone and anything - it can make your life utterly unbearable to live. The red one in turn provokes hatred towards someone whose body touched you first after drinking it.” “Be careful, my child.” the woman with ragged hair moved the vials across the table. “The effects are irreversible, once someone drinks it, there is no way back.” “Good,” said Jenn. “That is what I need. No more weakness, no more doubts, no more mercy.” The witch looked closer at her with s

“Smoking is not allowed. Do you hear me? Smoking is not allowed here!” Jenn had had enough of it. Stacy not only paid her an unannounced visit but also behaved in the most rude way, regardless of her status. She was a lawyer, people should treat her with due respect. But there he was, keeping his dirty shoes on her desk, smoking a fag and grinning brazenly as if she was not there. “You’re Dervel’s pet. You know?” The dwarf was looking straight into her eyes. “You’re taking it out on smoking, but in reality, Dervel can do with you, whatever he wants. Don’t you see that? He’s playing with you just to satisfy his dark desires in exchange for what? Bianca’s head? hahaha!” Stacy burst into laughter so loud that ash from his cigarette fell on the leather chair he was sitting on. “He can’t protect his own pack and you think that he can catch Bianca for you. Anyway, even if that miraculously happens, you want her to be dead but he wants her for something else. He’s making a fool

Samuel's wolf could sense Bianca's smell all over the tunnel. He could be sure that the crow leading him to her was right. The crow even knew how to open the stone entrance but at some point, when the light completely disappeared deep down in the tunnel, the flying ally disappeared. Samuel didn't notice that until he heard the entrance became closed again. The sound of sliding heavy rock made him realize there was no way back. Was it a trap? His eyes glowed with fear. If the tunnel was closed on the other side, he would be sentenced to death, death of hunger, thirst and perhaps even suffocation. But he had to keep on running, regardless of what was awaiting him at the end.At the same time, another big run was about to take place. Stacy realized his plan didn't prove to be successful, so he knew, there was just one option left for him - to retreat.Being so close to the desirable aim of independence from anyone, made it for him even more regrettable, but Victor would never forgive him

He had been sitting by her bedside for hours, holding her hand and looking at the clock which in twelve hours was supposed to strike midnight. When it happens, a special conjugation of stars and the Moon, which takes up the shape of a crow, will open Bianca’s body to an extraordinary thing - the ability to accept wolf’s semen and use it for the creation of a new species. So he sat there alone, completely unaware of what was happening behind his back. He was afraid of just one thing - what if she said no to their act of creation? What will he do if she rejects him?The time to unite their bodies won’t last too long - it is just a window of three hours, between midnight and 3am. Michael wanted to make it as pleasurable as possible for her, but what if she said no?I have no choice. I will have to force her, whatever the cost. The child must be born. The gun fired and its bang tore the whole place apart. Patrick stood still with his hand raised to the ceiling, from which a black feather was falling down in a smooth move, straight to the table. Melany with a terror on her face watched a killed crow lying in front of her. It saved her life.Patrick, pointed the gun at her, instead of firing it at Victor. His hatred towards her was even stronger than his love for money. At the exact moment when Patrick pulled the trigger, another gun fired. It was Victor’s finger with a silver ring which aimed impeccably straight at the middle of his temple. From a small dot, suddenly a streak of blood started coming out, staining the lapels of his suit. His scalp burst into small pieces - the bullet literally smashed his head.Victor survived another death of his. Only Stacy did not foresee the outcome of this attempt at his life.“Look,” Victor put the gun on the table. There was still smoke coming from the gun barrel. “The crow has just saved your

“Are there silver bullets inside your gun? If not, I will take it as an offence.”The man sitting at the table didn’t even care that there was a gun pointed at him.“You’re alive Victor, you old fox. You’ve arranged everything from the start. And managed to involve so many people into your plot.”“And that’s only the beginning, Patrick. There is a great future ahead of us.’’“Ahead of us?” Patrick raised his voice. Finally, he noticed the woman sitting in front of him.“Yes. Ahead of me, Bianca and Melany.”The woman turned around and looked straight into his face. It was Melany - Bianca’s mom who was supposed to be sick with leukemia in hospital.Patrick lowered the gun unwillingly. “You must be kidding me. You have tricked not only me, but first and foremost Bianca! She's gonna hate you even more than me!”Victor smiled wickedly. "Oh, Patrick, you're so behind with everything. He didn’t want Michael to hear any of what was just about to be said.He leaned against the door and took a deep breath.“How is it possible that both you and I are so deep in the werewolf’s world…”Stacy cracked his knuckles as Patrick listened, intrigued. The dwarf was the only person around who showed some common sense and was just like him - an ordinary man with no second nature inside. But that was deceptive.“People don’t even realize what world they live in. They are just playing around like kids in the sandpit, not even aware of what is happening to their relatives, daughters and so on. What can even happen to them.”The conversation was not what Patrick expected. He hoped to know something about his money and even though he trusted Stacy more than any other werewolf, he always tried to see the second bottom.Ever

Despite the pain taking into parts all his consciousness, an intriguing thought came to his mind.“Do you know where Bianca is? Can you lead me to her?”The crow tilted its head and cawed again, as if understanding his words. There was something in its eyes that could not be overlooked. The crow landed on his chest and started pecking at his wounds. Samuel felt a shooting pain all over
