"No," Abigail shook her head, appearing regretful. "My Lady, I was walking around last night after dinner to aid digestion, but who knew that I would encounter her? I was about to ask her where she was going, but then I realized that she was walking around sneakily and looking suspicious. I hid in a corner only to see her sneakily walk out of the pack."

The way Abigail described everything was so real that one couldn't help but believe her.

Lady Aileen's face was dark from anger as she clenched her fist, and some cracking sound could be heard, followed by her self-deprecating smile.

"Good, good, she dares to escape! Did I allow her to leave? See the maid assigned to me."

Abigail resisted the urge to release a smile of victory as she continued softly. "My Lady, not only that, I managed to catch a flash of gold in her hand, but I didn't think she had gold though, maybe that's the reason why she ran away."
