It seems so stupid for me to go back to the castle, only for me to be thrown out by that same crazy male wolf, who clearly has no regard for women.
I tried, and tried and tried but nothing.
It doesn’t work.He is always there.
It is almost like he is expecting me, so I decide to take a day break.I have tried a direct approach several times, and it didn’t work.
Now, it is time to seat and wait.I still can’t believe that he hasn’t come to search for me.
Maybe, he is out there with another woman…
I am so going to sterilize him.The door opens widely and Estella comes in, closing the door behind her as she pants.
Okay?
Did she run a race or something. She walks to where I am seated on the couch rather dramatically.
“What is it?”
I wait for her to catch her breath before she speaks, “The King has created a search party for his mate. She apparently flee from the castle, who wouldn’t.”
I roll my eyes at her and lay on the couch.
If this roof would automatically come off then maybe I could get some tan.
I just have to get some sunscree-“Minerva, he is looking for you.”
Huh?
“You have to go.”
I frown at her.
She just loves disturbing my peace and quiet.Urgh!
In these few weeks, we have been rather close, and I trust her enough to not slice my throat while I sleep…
“Why would he be searching for me?”
It’s her turn to roll her eyes at me, “Because you are his mate, of course.”
What?
“How did you know that.”“I knew that on the first day I met you. I don’t know how, but I did. It is very hard to explain and more complicated to understand.”
Sometimes certain wolves can sense their Queen, same goes for their King…
I heard that was long ago, though.I also heard that it’s very rare.
“Minerva, are you even listening to me?”
I send her a bit of a guilty smile.
“You have to go and meet him out there.”
“Nah, I think I will stay here. He can find me on his own.”
“Oh my goddess, stop acting like a child and get out of here.”
Her frustrated simply can’t handle me.I am not acting like a kid.
Am I?I think not…
“I just want him to find me himself, so that I can ask him why he didn’t come to look for me before now.”
She frowns at me, “What’s the difference with going to face him and ask him that?”
I smile at her, getting comfortable on the couch, “Him using a bit of his effort to search for me. I want him to do that.”
Before I can sterilize him.She rolls her eyes and joins me on the couch. It squeaks under our weight, “I don’t really like the royal family, but I do support you and I hope you give him a little hard time before you submit.”
Submit?
“What do you mean?”
She shrugs at me and I say, “We are equals, I don’t need to submit to him.”
“I don’t know him pass his public image and I trust your better judgment but, if it comes to that, I wouldn’t want you to get hurt so just submit quickly.”
“How-”
A knock comes from the door, a very hard knock, “Open up!”
I huff.
Can’t I have a time to myself?Estella and I share a brief glance and she says, “They are here.”
She tries to stand up but I don’t let her, “Don’t.”
She groans with a frown and we hear another knock, “Why not?”
“Just don’t. I don’t think that I am ready to become Queen.”
“You will have to be, Minerva, because if I don’t open that door he break it down.”
Suddenly, the door flies open.
I sigh.
He just broke the door.Bummer.
I liked that door.He glares at me as he steps inside, his boots crushing every pieces of wood he marches.
Dramatic soon to be sterilized hell of a King.
Sebastian.“Minerva.”
I don’t know why when he calls my name I smile, but I do and I stop.
I fold my arms as he reaches arms length, “Sebastian.”
His eyes move to Estella and I frown and move also, to cover her from his view, “Why did you break my friend’s door?”
“Why did you leave the castle.”
I glare at him, “Why did your chief head psycho throw me out?”
As I say this, the male in question comes out of hiding and I glare at him, “Hey psycho.”
He frowns and opens his mouth to speak but closes it back when Sebastian turns to stare at him.
“You did what?”
He apparently starts sweating…
No, he doesn’t.I am only joking.
“I didn’t know that she is your mat-”
“Leave!”
His voice echoes in the room and everyone scrambles out of the room, including Estella.
I actually don’t blame her.I would scramble out of the room if it was up to me.
It’s a bummer that it is not.“Why didn’t you come look for me sooner?”
“I was held up and I didn’t know that you had left.”
You mean, you didn’t know that I had been thrown out…
“I’m sure you didn’t, you had other females to keep your bed warm.”
He groans out loudly and covers his eyes with his hands, “That’s not true, Minerva. What transpired between us made my wolf go crazy. He wanted to mate and mark you there and I couldn’t allow that, not without your consent.”
Mate with me.
Oh Goddess. My face starts getting hotter by the second. He notices this and smirks at me.
“But that doesn’t explain why you are coming here after two weeks…”
“That’s what happened, Minerva. I had to take care of my parents who badly wants to see you.”
Wait.
“What?”
He smiles at me. I don’t know if it is a good thing or a bad thing, “We better start going.”
He grabs my arm and takes me outside, while my mind process the thought of his parents wanting to meet me.
I knew this would happen, but I wasn’t expecting it to be so soon.
So very soon.He takes time to address the male who threw me out while I use my own time to give my goodbye to Estella.
She just gives me a sad smile and we hug.Sebastian speaks to Estella. “You have helped my mate now let me help you. You can come and live in the castle.”
She bows her head, “I think I would stay here. I do better here.”
“Very well,” He nods at her and then turns to me, “Let’s go.”
When we go back to the castle, he leads me to his bedroom.
I actually don’t want a repeat of what happened… in a way.
“Are you ready to meet my parents?”
No, I am not.
How would I be?“Can we shift the it? I don’t feel so good.”
He frowns at me, “Did you just say, shift the it.”
I nod, and jump on the bed.
This could be fun…“Yeah.”
He shakes his head at me, “Well, I can’t shift the it because, they have been waiting for a while now.”
Urgh.
Can’t a girl have a time to herself.
“Fine, let’s go.”
He smiles at me and I roll my eyes.
“Don’t smile, you haven’t faced your punishment yet.”
I make an evil laugh in my head.“What?”
Ha!
We walk out of the room and head to the…
Okay, I don’t know where we head to.I just know that there are a lot of people inside the room we are in now, and they apparently don’t notice us… at first.
But they do, eventually, but very slowly.
“Leave.”
Hmm, is it only me that notice that.
This was the same thing he said in Estella’s home.He needs to increase his vocabulary and these wolves need to change their response when he says that word, cause they hurry out of the room like cockroaches.
I hate those things.Wait, not everyone rushes out. About five people are left behind, and they are staring right at us, well, at me.
As we draw closer, the youngest female among the group hurries to hug me so tight that my lungs start having contractions, if that’s possible.
Sebastian glares at the female and separates us, “I didn’t bring her here for you to kill her.”
The female waves her hand in Sebastian’s face, “Relax, I got my job caught out for me.”
Wait….
What? The female smiles at me. It looks a bit creepy but who am I to judge, “It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Gwendolyn; but you can just call me Gwen.”
“I am Minerva.”
She giggles and winks at me, leaving me to wonder if she is on a sugar rush, “Beautiful name.”
“Thanks,” I think.
Sebastian pushes her away from me and points to the oldest looking male and female present in this room, “That’s my mom and dad.”
I wave at them and they send me genuine smiles, “Nice to meet you.”
“And those are my brothers, Josh and Junior.”
J and J.
The males in question waves at me. The latter looks like he is about seven while the first is apparently, almost Sebastian’s age.
Junior is more focused on his video game while Josh walks to me with a creepy smirk in place.
He takes a hold of my hand and places a light kiss on it. Sebastian glares at him and snatches my hand away with a deep growl. It seems like these two don’t get along very well.
“Josh, don’t be so disgusting. Sebastian could chew you raw in a second,” Gwen rolls her eyes at Josh and pushes him out of her way; technically, it’s out of my way.
Sebastian’s family is a bit out of the law of physics…
I mean his siblings, his parents hasn’t spoken a word for a while now.“Now tell me Minerva, how did you and Seby meet?”
Seby?
The nickname almost makes me throw up laughter but I manage to reign it in.I smile cockily at her, “That’s for me to know and you to find out.”
As I say this, she bursts out in a loud giggle and hugs me tight again, but my lungs don’t have contractions this time; they have burns.
Sebastian has to separate us again with a glare like the first time.
She sure loves to hug.Gwen doesn’t acknowledge him or his glare, all she can stare at is me.
I don’t know why though.“Shut up!” Okay? “Don’t tell me you are a fan of Angel Writes too!”
“What?”
She frowns at me, “Angel Writes, the human writer!”
What…
Wait.“Oh.”
“Yeah, so you do know her.”
I nod vigorously, “Who wouldn’t. I absolutely love her books, but it’s somewhat a bummer that she isn’t famous in the human world, that is where she lives, right?”
“Yes, but she is really famous here, in the supernatural world,” She says, “Maybe an anonymous someone who is probably the alpha king could also anonymously pay a large sum of money for her books…”
Oh.
I know where this is going.“Yes, an anonymous rich guy who has nothing to do with his money,” We both simultaneously turn to the male is question, Sebastian and he rolls his eyes and folds his arms across his chest.
Classic.
“I’d have to know her name first.”
“Simple Angel Writes.”
He groans loudly and rolls his eyes again, “I mean her real name.”
Oh.
Before Gwen can reply, the chief psycho- would throw me out of the castle a few weeks back, walks in and whispers something into Sebastian’s ear.
I suddenly have the urge to scream that we have werewolf hearing, so if I want to listen in on their conversation, I would.
Sebastian nods at whatever the male whispers to him before he turns to my direction, “I’m sorry, Minerva, something came up.”
He moves closer and kisses my cheek before he walks out of the room with the male psycho.
Ha!“Aw,” Gwen’s voice bring me back to reality.
Damn. I forgot that his family are still here.
She wiggles her eyebrow suggestively at me, “What was that about?”
Er…
I think creepiness runs in the family.“Gwendolyn!” Her mother finally speaks as she glares at the female and then smiles at me, “It is a pleasure to meet my boy’s mate. You are so beautiful.”
I check classic mom talk off my mental list.
After the days stress, I walk lazily to Sebastian’s room and throw myself on the bed with a sigh. The day has been stressful and a very… well let’s just go with stressful. When Sebastian comes in, he kisses my cheek and making me groan with a smile.“I’m sorry I left, Minerva. Had some things to take care of.”I hum at him with one eye open, “Anything you need help with?”He shakes his head at me and lays next to be, “How about you go to sleep and tomorrow, we can talk about it.”I nod, as he holds me closer to his chest. He is so warm…And I fall asleep like a baby. You know when someone tells you that they will do something for you later, but ends up not doing it.Well, that happens when I wake up.I follow him around, just for him to tell me what transpired yesterday. I get nothing, nothing at all.He groans as he sits behind his desk
My body feels like I’ve been run down by a truck and right now, I know that that’s not the issue. If forever is really a word in the dictionary, I want it gone.I finally open my eyes, it takes some blinking for me to see clearly.“You’re awake. I almost thought that you were dead.”I grunt, trying to keep my eyes open as long as I can.My throat feels dried up as I scan the room, keeping my sights on a male I wish to murder.Maybe, the taste of his blood will quench my thirst.“Sebastian.”He embraces my glare with a smirk. He is crunched by the front of silver bars.Oh my goddess, I am in the castle’s prison.“I half expected to be tied up in your room, not a cell.”He smiles at my statement. In a different occasion, I would have been gushing over how he looks, but right now I can only hate him.At least try to.“You aren’t tied
“Psst! Minerva. Minerva, wake up.”I groan and wipe my eyes with my hand.“Minerva!”I crack my eyes open as the whispers become louder.“What, Greyson. Leave me alone,” I yawn, raising my arms as I stretch. In the action, I move my leg and I grunt, immediately holding down my foot as tears flow down my face.“Jeez, Minerva. That had to hurt.”I bite my lips and glare at him through the tears. He has a wince on his face as he stares down at my foot.“You’re lucky that you are in a different cell, Greyson.”He nods, his features never changing from a wince, “I don’t think you would be able to walk on that leg.”“Thanks for stating the obvious,” I wipe my tears with the back of my hand, “I can’t feel my wolf.”The statement I make scares me, “Why can’t I feel her.”“Relax. It
He glares at me with deep intensity that I can’t comprehend, “Get into the bath tub.”What?“How am I going to do that when I have no clothes to put on.”He shakes his head at me and walks out of the room, leaving me alone with a towel wrapped on my chest.I laugh.Oh Goddess! He is affected by the mate bond, so badly.Maybe, me almost pulling my clothes off in front of him was a good idea after all.It left me alone in this room.I don’t even know how I manage to pull off my clothes.Oh… yeah, I tore them off me.My sister would freak out when she finds out that I tore my underwear…Just kidding, just kidding.I’m still putting on my underwear, they are still on me.He walks back in, with a few set of clothing in one hand and a glass of water in another.Oh my gosh, he brought me a glass of water. He is such a gentleman.I
The next morning, I wake up to see my cell still wide open. Greyson doesn’t do more than send me a sad smile when I leave. It is very obvious that I am not in a good mood today but who am I, just a filthy maid, that’s who.The only thing making me smile today is my wolf.I can feel her presence in my head but the silver is not completely gone so she’s not fully back.I am just thankful that she’s alright.“Hey, are you listening to me?”I blink at the short female in front of me. She huffs and places the sheets in my arms, “Take them to the King’s bedroom.”What? “I am sorry but I can’t go in there.”She waves her arms at me, “Don’t worry, the King and his mate aren’t doing anything.”I don’t know why she winks at me.I look down at my arms and sigh. They aren’t doing anything yet. When I arrive at Sebas
“Where is he?” I glare at the male, “You won’t tell me where you kept him and you won’t let me out of here?”He sighs and leans on the seat he sits on, “I don’t know where he went to.”“I know you’re lying.”He stands up with a yawn, “Suit yourself. Get dressed and got to work.”I blink, “Wait, Sebastian,” He stops and gives me a bored stare.I move closer and hold the bar, I hiss and move back when it hurts me. He looks down at my hands I cradle on my chest before he is staring back at me, “What?”“Is it because of the colour of my skin?” His face wrinkles in confusion, “Is that why you don’t want me as your mate.”As I say this, he rolls her eyes, “We’ve talked about this and I don’t understand why you don’t get it. I love, okay, so I am going to marry her in your place.&rd
The first thing I see when I wake up is Sebastian’s blue eyes, not yellow scary eyes but blue hooded ones.He tilts his head to the side, “What a nice position, don’t you think?”I look at him puzzled, before I look down at myself. With a heavy breath, I shift away Greyson’s hands away from my chest without waking him. Sebastian’s eyes move to my chest and then down my body. I stop this when I wrap the sheets on myself.Anger fills his eyes immediately, “You let another male touches what belongs to me. You really are a slut.”I look at him in disbelief, “You’re the one who said that you don’t want me.”“I didn’t say that. I only said that I need you.”“You said that part very clearly for me to understand and now, I am moving on.”“It seems like you don’t understand,” He chuckles, “When you submitted to me, y
Several Years Ago“Samuel, where is the chew toy,” The female calls out, her eyes turning away from the baby in her arms and one asleep in the basket.A male walks into the room, “Chew toys aren’t good for my two baby girls.”He takes the little one off her mother’s arms and swings the baby in the air.“Careful there, she’s sleepy and I need her to go to sleep, not make me cranky.”The little baby gabbles words her father can’t understand as she waves her hands in the air.Her father coos at her and kisses her forehead, “Slow down, my coloured viking.”“Coloured viking, really?” The female moves around the small cabin, picking out baby things, “That’s the best you got?”He turns to her, his hands holding the baby tightly as he places her on his shoulder and pats her slowly, “I don’t know who is going to inherit my gen
The female sits in front of me with her hands clasps before her and I smile, she smiles back at me too.“How may I help the writer of my book today?”She places a lazy eye on my parents who sits far off in a corner in the room and Sebastian who sits beside me with expectation.“I want you to help me clarify something for us.” Her eyes flicks back to me and I tilt my head in confusion, placing a hand on my baby bump.“What’s that? What do you need to clarify and to who… oh, to the readers. Wait, how did I know that?”She nods at my confusion speech. “Yes, to the readers.”The way she plays with her hands puts me on edge. I have never seen Angel Writes play with her hands.“I want to be called writer now, and I believe that the readers may be out for my soul. I don’t want to die, I am still a minor.” She says and I nod at her, even though I am c
*Four Months Later* Sebastian’s glare can be felt by the little crowd of butterflies that I force to lay still. I am sure of it. I cut their wings and I place them in the ground, in front of Sebastian and I laugh when he wrinkles his nose again. “You really don’t like butterflies.” I carefully lay on the ground, smiling up at the odd expression on his face. “Don’t try to press my kid in.” His glare is then directed at me and I quickly stand to my feet as I roll my eyes. “Stop worrying. I’m fine and I’m a hundred percent sure that this baby won’t pop out today.” I wave my tummy in his direction. “I still have five more months to go.” I walk to the basket beside him and pull out the quiet baby who blinks at me. “Who you should be worrying about is little Isabella.” He shakes his head vigorously at me as I drop the little child in his arms. The little baby seems odd in his arms and he holds her like he is scared he’s gonna squash
“Do you really have to go?”“Yes and hopefully, we can find a way to help Estella out. Besides we have spent too much time from home.” My sister answers when it’s time for her to leave.Finn stands behind her, waiting for us to be done talking.“When will you come to visit.”“I should be asking you instead. I am going to give birth in a few months. It is as close as I say.”I nod at her words. “I know and I will try to portal your way when the time comes.”“Makes me wonder why we can’t just portal out of here.” She increases her voice as she emphasizes and turns to Finn with a glare before she turns back to me.I laugh when he raises an eyebrow at this.“Who knows what could happen if you step in there. I have never heard of a pregnant fey step into a portal. I am not going to take that risk.”“I believe that I have hear
Gwen is being put with the top medical team, even the top witches and feys; anyone that can help but nothing works. Nothing slows the poison from spreading. Nothing at all.Finn, my sister and I try all we can but still nothing. We all know what’s going to happen and there’s no way to escape it. Gwen’s time is ticking like a clock and she knows it, so she calls in every person that she has ever known. Everyone that she cares about and she says her goodbyes.I can’t risk to stare at her parents as they weep at their daughter’s bedside. I can barely find the courage to walk into her room and say my goodbyes because this is all my fault.Estella is half dead, stuck in my spell. Greyson is dead and now, Gwen and their unborn child is going to die too. There is no way to save the child. Yes, there is a temporary solution but if we do that, the child will die in a few days time. It is not matured enough to withstand it.&ldq
*Minerva’s Point Of View*I think my chin is broken and maybe my scrap will rip off too. I can fell the throbbing in both my face and my head as she holds my hair tightly and uses it to drag me into the warehouse.Blood drips out of my mouth as I cough, also trying to stop her from pulling off my head. I continue to struggle even as she throws me into a room and leaves me, not completely. It is only for a few seconds but when she does leave me, my body recoils forward and I pour out the blood that is in my mouth with a cough. When I am done, the only thing I can do is wipe my lips with my sleeves and I end up hissing in pain as I feel how broken my chin is.“I never knew that my chin could get broken,” I laugh and wince at the same time as I try to stand on my feet. “Thank you for clearing whatever doubts I had.”Suddenly, a hard force hits my stomach and I end up tumbling a few feet away from her till I hit the wall a
“Are you sure about this?”Greyson raises up his neck from the position and Sebastian drags him down.“Stay hidden and quiet. We know that you are worried but you will risk her life at this rate. Hers and your child.”Finn’s words tries to calm Greyson down and it brings a big win the the other side watching them.“Okay, you can come out now.”Davina’s eyes skims through the forest as she places her hands on her hips and her back to the abandoned warehouse.“I am tired of playing. Did you bring my doppelganger as the ransom I asked for?”Greyson doesn’t try to stand up again, no one does. They are hiding behind a bush with a very clear view on the female fey as she speaks.“You didn’t bring guards right? I hate to have told you guys something and you didn’t obey it. You know what the cost is right? Gwen’s head on a platter and then I take
Minerva doesn’t wake up again, for up to four months. The days fly like slow wind, the people lessens and as everyone grows in months, Sebastian’s hope fades away completely. The baby in Minerva’s womb doesn’t grow. She is pregnant, yes but the spell stops the growth of any kind, even her own growth. So she will be there… here till they find a ‘non-existing solution’ to the impossible unbreakable spell. This doesn’t stop them from looking though. It only stops him for looking. He spends hours and days in what now turns out to be her room, just laying by her side and she sees him too, she stares as he cries at her side everyday. No one has ever seen the wolf king cry.He is a man of wild actions, he can’t just bend on his knees close to a bed and cry? But he does, everyday. No one have ever seen the wolf king cry.No one except her. It warms her heart to know that he cares for her t
[Author’s Point Of View] *Two Weeks Later* Minerva’s condition has neither increased or decreased in any way and it sickens Sebastian but he holds on to the hope of her standing up to glare at him or even throw an insult at him. He just wants her to be as she was but as he continues to stare at her bed everyday, the hope dims, leaving only a string for him to hold on to and also the words of a weird female. “I still wonder what you come here to do everyday. You know that she doesn’t want you here right?” Greyson closes the door behind him. “She barely stares at you when you come around. I’m sure that she doesn’t listen to you too.” Sebastian doesn’t react to his words. Greyson does this every time he sees Sebastian here, coming in to say something to provoke him but Sebastian knows that if he gets provoked, there is a huge bet of Greyson’s death and Minerva will never forgive him if that happens. Never suddenly seems like an understatement.
“Did you do the test I ask for?”The doctor tries to catch up to his long strides. “Yes, it wasn’t an easy task but due to our advanced technology we were able to make it work.”Sebastian grabs the document from her hands and take a glance through it.“It’s your child, my king.”His steps doesn’t falter as he hands it over to her. “How is she?”“Stable. Her neck has been patched up and her vitals are good but…”“But what?” He insists.“She doesn’t seem to be speaking or reacting to anything we do. Sometimes her eyes follows us everywhere and sometimes she just stares at the wall… motionless.”“Thank you for your time.” Sebastian grunts. He open the door to his room and walks in, closing the door in her face. She stands there for some seconds as she holds the documents to her chest and sque
