Gael looked into Kim's eyes, trying to convey his sincerity. "I couldn't leave her alone in that state, Kim. She was a bit drunk, and I wanted to make sure she was safe. That's all," he said.

Kim seemed to soften slightly, but her guard was still up. "And what about your relationship with her? Why have you been defending her so much lately?" she asked, her voice tinged with jealousy.

Gael hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Was this what you came here for, Kim? I presume you had other things you wanted to say, not to me though but to Elma as you were in her room," Gael said, his tone slightly stern.

Kim looked conflicted. "No.. I .., it was just a mixup on my part. I thought that was your room," said Kim, trying to come up with an excuse.

Gael stepped closer to her, gently taking her hands in his.

"You're not one to make silly mistakes, Kim, we both know that. Elma is my wife now, and I have a responsibility towards her. You really need to stop treating her the way you do," he
