Chapter 788

The employees whispered among themselves at Darius' words. He smirked and crossed his arms, leaning against a table leisurely. Alexis couldn't take it anymore. She shrieked, "Listen up, Darius!" She turned to face her colleagues before continuing, "Our manager promised to marry me, so you should all think carefully about how you treat me!"

Darius raised an eyebrow at this. He didn't believe the manager's words for a second but couldn't control what these employees thought. To his surprise, they all believed Alexis. He frowned, trying to think of a way to end this farce, when a young woman dressed in a janitor's uniform said in a small voice, "I can give it a shot."

When she stepped forward, Darius suddenly sensed overwhelming fear in Alexis. She screeched, "What are you doing? What do you know? You're nothing but a janitor, so do what you were hired to do! This has nothing to do with you!"

Darius crossed his arms and watched her scornfully. "I think everyone can sense how terrified yo
