Chapter 671

Mortimer glared at Darius, his nostrils flaring as his chest heaved with rage. He didn’t say anything, though.

Darius smiled and crossed his legs at the knee. Mortimer forced himself to calm down so he could speak to Darius, but Darius’ words only made his temper flare up again. “So, tell me—who gave you this idea?”

Mortimer shot to his feet again. “What do you mean by that? Are you implying I’m unable to devise a plan on my own?” He thought Darius would shake his head, but Darius nodded, still smiling.

Then, he leaned forward and turned his computer on before focusing all his attention on it. Silence descended upon the room. After a while, Mortimer asked in confusion, “Aren’t you mad that I led the people outside here?”
