Darius added, “Since the two of you called

me over, I think it’s only fair that you both face me in dealing with the

issue.”

The director shot up from the couch. His

belly rolls bounced like jelly as he dashed toward the door. It took him less

than a second to do so.

Daisy saw everything happen, her eyes

rounding with interest for the humorous scene. She knew the director had

recently gained a lot of weight, so he never made any explosive movements. That

was the first time Daisy saw him doing that.

When the director finally arrived at the

door, he placed one hand on his waist while hunching over and panting. His

breathing was so fast that anyone would have worried he would pass out in the

next second.

Standing aside, Daisy lowered her head, but

it was not out of worry; she did so to hide her smile. After all, Darius had

already opened the door, so he and the director were awkwardly staring each

other down.

Daisy kept her head low and pursed her lips

tautly, suppressing her laughter.
