Gemma

When she woke up again, she felt much better, aside from the fact that she had a headache and had to pee really urgently.  Nonetheless, she sat up gingerly, unwilling to have the same happen as the last time she woke up.

“Whoa, where do you think you’re going?”  Grant spoke up from the chair next to the bed.  He sounded sleepy and when she glanced at him she realized that he’d fallen asleep in the chair next to her bed.

“I need to pee!”  She squeaked urgently as she threw her legs over the side of the bed, only to find Grant standing ready to catch her.  “I’m fine…”  She retorted indignantly.

“You forget I picked you up the last time you woke up.  You scared the crap out of me.”  He answered in a voice so sincere, she stopped and stared for a moment, but then remembered that she had to pee like yesterday.

He caught her arm and guid

DaleHe’d spent the night at her bedside, sleeping with his head near her hand so he could breathe in her scent. He’d slept surprisingly well despite the creak in his neck the next morning, but she was still not awake and he had to get to work.Elder Stuart had him work with setting the pack to rights, since he was mated to the new Luna of the pack, so the transition of him taking over would be smooth. Well, it would be smooth around the pack; his mate was another matter altogether.Grant had told him that he would keep watch over her; personally he just thought the loafer wanted an hour or so of extra sleep. But he agreed, knowing that Grant would keep her safe. He went first to the apartment where his mate had slept before; he could only sleep when he immersed himself in her scent. So he’d moved his bag there and quickly took a shower and brushed his teeth. He had breakfast and checked that training was go

GemmaShe had just finished talking to her lawyer about confirming her survival and getting in touch with the commander to arrange a meeting to discuss the pack transfer, when Wade stepped out of the bathroom. He had clearly showered, but he still had the same clothes on, since they had not managed to get him another set of clothes. She had no idea what had become of their extra clothes and her handbag. She glanced him over where she sat in her office chair, narrowing her eyes with interest. Wade tilted his head at her with curiosity, his wild eyes seeming amused at her expression. “We need to fix this…” She muttered as she came to her feet, Charlie raising his eyebrow at her with his own attention, now that he had returned suspiciously fast from a hunt.“Whatever do you mean?” Charlie asked with curiosity.“He just took a shower and he had to dress in the same dirty clothes. DaleHis Gamma came in to report on the border patrol early morning, like he did every day after breakfast, but when Dale looked up at the man he trusted with border security he stopped short and stared for a moment. The man had had long luscious hair that most of the female warriors envied since he’d joined their ranks. But today…today he looked different. “What happened to your hair?” Dale asked in surprise. The man’s hair had been cut into a Mohawk and that Mohawk had been braided down to his back.“Our Luna helped with cutting hair yesterday, Sir. I think some of the men requested some assistance today as well.” Hank Reynolds answered with a barely contained grin.“So you let her cut your hair like that?” Dale asked dubiously. He couldn’t imagine Hank, who had always been possessive about his hair for as long as they’d known him allowing

GemmaBy the afternoon the two wolves that had come to ask if she would teach them how to cut hair were doing so well that she was sitting back with Charlie and Wade, watching them work. She was rather proud of them; they caught on so quickly, she was sure they would soon find themselves enough work that they could open their own little shop together.Once she was free of these wolves, she was considering doing the same, far away from any other wolves that might consider kidnapping her for their own gain once more. While she was watching the wolves cut hair, she noticed a luxury car roll calmly into the yard and stopping in front of the big house, which she had recently learned was the pack house.A well-dressed man stepped out of the driver’s side and buttoned the two buttons of his jacket as he glanced round with interest. Grant stepped out to meet him and they shook hands, but even from here, she could see their smiles were not sincer

GemmaHer nerves were on edge, so she went running again that next morning. It seemed it was not just her the Elders were going to talk about, but also Wade and Charlie. She was terrified for her friends and she needed to do something with all the nervous energy. So early morning, she stepped outside in her work-out clothes and found Charlie, Wade and Grant waiting for her at the front of the pack house. The commander soon showed up as well. She didn’t say anything as she started her run, mostly because her throat was constricted with worry. But soon she noticed something was odd and glanced around to find half the pack running behind her. What the hell was going on?Shaking her head to herself, she kept running, the commander had fallen into step beside her, but she studiously ignored him as she pushed herself to go that little bit further than she had the previous day. The running helped somewhat to soothe the ne

Only his training kept his features smooth at the situation. It would be adorably endearing if she hadn’t already insulted Elder Heath. He was a no-nonsense wolf that seemed to have no sense of humor when it came to his duties. He hoped her mutterings wouldn’t get her into deeper trouble. At least Elder Daniels seemed to like her adorable confusion with everything wolf. If she hadn’t rushed out of the meeting yesterday, they might have been able to answer some of her questions and maybe informed her somewhat of what to expect. GemmaElder Daniels had started explaining some things to her the previous night. It had ranged from normal pack traditions to a Luna’s duty during those traditions. He also explained that she would need to go through the initiation as a Luna before the tournament happened, but Elder Crawford insisted that they needed to do a before and after scan of her brainwaves to see if there would be a change. After dinner she had tiredly trudged up the stairs, but Commander Dale intercepted her and informed her that she would be sleeping on the Alpha floor as the Luna of the pack and that all her things had been moved. He had also told her that, for the moment, she would have to work in the office with them until an office could be cleaned up and prepared according to her specifications. Yet another thing she would have to oversee. Her night seemed too short after that and she sluggishly raised herself when her alarm went off. She was d

GemmaIt had been four years since they had become the royal couple. They had changed the werewolf world. At first, it was utter chaos. There had been an uprising of werewolves intent on bringing back the Elders, but they were mostly the wolves that had benefitted from the three elders’ wrongdoing. The uprising was quickly squelched when Dale called the army to clear the problem. The army had unanimously pledged their allegiance to the crown and for a while Gemma and Dale were working to find housing for the complete army. They were forced to expand their land to the west, where there was no pack.Barracks and a bigger pack house were built. Well, it became more of a stronghold. DaleThe full moon was about to rise above the tall trees, which signified the perfect time to hold the ceremony for their mating as the royal couple. He was still in disbelief that he had such an amazing mate and that she had forgiven him. She would be his tonight and he would spend every day of his life making up for how he had treated her when they had met.Once the wolves and the council were seated on both sides of the aisle and many more spectators had found seating on the ground around them for this momentous occasion that would make history, Tamara announced that she would find Arcus and inform his Gemma that they were waiting for her.He was nervous, not because he wasn’t sure about mating her, but he feared that she would see him for the undeserving bastard he was and change her mind about marking him. Her father would have loved to walk her down the aisle. Instead she had to do this alone.Emily had left her momentarily to help with some arrangements. Apparently, wolves didn’t have the same type of ceremony that humans did. There was no maid of honor, best man or flower girls. It was just her, walking towards Dale that would wait for her at the front with the Elder. They would say their vows; mark each other in front of everyone there and then she would be crowned directly after. She would then lead them all in wolf form in her first run as the new queen. Could she really be queen? If someone had told her accepting the invitation for the interview would take her on the crazy path to finding a mate and

A moment later someone knocked on her door and she opened it. Emily caught her hand and she was suddenly surrounded by laughing and cheering she-wolves.“What’s going on?” She asked with confusion.“It’s your bachelorette party! DaleHe’d been itching to try this obstacle course since he saw it. Of course, Elder Stuart had insisted that he only see it today, for the first time. But now that he’d seen it; he was excited to try it and he thought it would be a great training method for the warriors once a week. They could always add more onto the course later on and he was sure that would be the case for the next tournament. They were watching the warriors run the track first and he was proud to see that most of his warriors were leading the group. He could see from the sweat coating them, that this course was a good challenge for them. It tested all the muscles in their bodies and he was impressed with his little mate’s course. But then he scented her arousal. Was she interested in one of the warriors? Turns out it was Emily, who had agreed to do online classes at night while she assisted Gemma during the day.Dale made a mental note to find some way to make Gemma slow down so Emily could finish her senior year in school and maybe some online college classes, as well.
