Chapter 18(Cheeseburgers)

Hazel's Point Of View:

“Look! There's a restaurant there, let's go for a meal.” I suggested, trying to make him not notice the fact that I actually held tight to the mysteriouswoman's words.

He snapped, “sure, sure.".

We entered the restaurant and sat at a random table. We ordered cheeseburgers and as soon as the waitress left, I initiated a conversation between Alex and I.

“I really find it hard to trust you. Each time I trust you, I'll see some red flags, telling me not to. I really am torn in between. I don't know what to do anymore.” I whispered, fighting back my sudden tears.

“You can absolutely trust me. We're friends right? These are just phases which we'll overcome together. We're great together. Look, we both crave revenge. Our enemies are just jealous that we're together.” He responded.
