Chapter 31 - Blazing flames.

My eyes flashed open, startled from the sudden bang outside my room, I bolted upright and as I tried to blink the sleepiness away, I could hear raised voices in the distance. I quickly leapt out of bed and opened my bedroom door to see Talon chucking his cloak over his shoulders and flash out of the doors, leaving them wide open. Within seconds I ran, curious to know what made him dash off so quickly in the middle of the night.

I peeped around the door to see him standing down the hallway looking over the balcony down to the hall below. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to clear them from their fogginess, when the smell of smoke hit me and I realised it wasn’t my eyes that were foggy, but the air. I darted over to him and looked down to see the main castle doors were in flames as Kyan, Zekan, Del and others were rushing to put the blazed fire out.
