Chapter 13 - One friend and the foes.

I sat comfortably in a soft black velvet armchair with a blanket draped over my knees as Talon was writing in one of his hefty books. He had put on some quiet classical music on his turntable as I delved into Emma’s journal. I had wanted to read it the moment he gave it to me, but he insisted on showing me more of the castle. I had seen so little in my time here, I had no idea how many floors, corridors and little tucked away allies were here.

He had taken me down to where the humans stayed. They had their own fancy dining area and large bedrooms. I had seen their bathrooms before when Michelle took me there, but I didn’t see just how much space in the castle they had all to themselves, it was practically a whole other wing! Then he took me up the staircase opposite the one I always used to show me all the rooms of the other vampires that lived here or passed by. We didn’t go in them, of course, but I could see that there were still so many other places just on their side of the castl
