Chapter 1.

Anita recently graduated from the university. She's a 24-year-old woman, and the first daughter of her parents. She has five younger sisters. Her father is a banker, while her mother is a trader.

She's fair in complexion, very beautifully shaped, with sexy, curvy hips. All her sisters are dark-skinned, with only her being fair in complexion.

She resembles her mother but is more attractive. At times, her father often accuses her mother of infidelity, and he doubts he's truly her father, as she's so fair-skinned, but her mother has always remained silent about it, and told her not to mind her father and that she's truly his child.

Her father even threatened to run a DNA test on her, as he couldn't understand why she's so fair, unlike the rest of her sisters.

Her immediate younger sister, Flora, who's a dark-skinned beauty, 22 years of age, also dislikes her.

About four of her sisters resented her, except for her youngest sister, Glory Baker, who genuinely loves her.

They say blood is thicker than water, but in her case, water is thicker than blood.

Anita's father, Mr. Joshua Baker, didn't stop in sending Anita to school, as he only accused his wife of cheating on him in the past, and forcing another man's child on him. So he could marry her, but nonetheless, he still sent Anita to the university to study business administration.

Anita is thrilled as she wrote her final exams, and the results finally emerge with flying colors.

Well, due to her father's constant accusations against her calm mother, Mrs. Tonia Baker, Anita has refused to accept any relationship from any guy who is asking her out to become his woman.

She only goes on a date with them, but ends up rejecting their love proposals.

Her best friend at the university, Temisa Patrick, has also advised her to give love a chance. But Anita refused and said, "My father constantly accused my mother of cheating on him. Yet he still went to her to get her pregnant, and she birthed the six of us. My mother says that my father does love her, but his insults to her daily don't show us that he genuinely loves her at all."

Anita shook her head in sadness as she spoke to her best friend, Temisa Patrick, inside their room when they were still in year two at the private university.

Handsome men are pursuing her to become her boyfriend, but she feels they only want to use her, and once the man crosses the line and breaks her virginity, he will change and dump her or accuse her of infidelity, just like how her father constantly accused her mother of cheating on him and wanting to send her mother and likewise herself into depression.

Anita sits on a chair in the private room that she shares with her Temisa Patrick. They were preparing for their final convocation in school.

"Anita, I am so happy. Finally, we will be leaving this school. I cannot explain how much I have missed home already," Temisa says.

"Me too," Anita faintly replied. Well, she knows that it wasn't entirely true with her, as she hates home and knows that she will be facing her father's constant insults towards her and her mother again.

While her three younger sisters—Flora, Esther, and Favor—will want to torment the hell out of her, calling her an "outcast," as they are jealous of her looks, like it's entirely her fault.

Anita shook her head in sadness, and Temisa noticed.

"What is it, girlfriend? You don't seem to look happy, even though you are graduating as one of the best graduating students in our university today." Temisa asked.

She stood up from her seat, that's facing the mirror, and walked up to meet Anita, who sat on the chair alone, shaking her head in sadness, instead of packing her box of clothes.

"What's the problem, dear?" Temisa asked again as she approached and crouched in front of Anita, even though she already knew what the problem really was.

Anita has told her why she hates men in general and sees them as scumbags.

"Not to worry, girlfriend. When I get home, I will talk to my mother to allow you to come live with us, even though it is just for your internship, until you get a better job to cater for yourself." Temisa offered.

"Thank you," Anita replied as she smiled faintly at Temisa.

She knew that Temisa cared for her, but she didn't want Temisa to worry.

"You're welcome, dear. You know that you're like a sister to me. So you don't have to worry much, as graduating with a first-class degree is no joke here, and you should be happy, as today is your most blessed day. Come sit here and let me help you apply some makeup to your face." Temisa said, and gently pulled Anita to stand up from her seat and to walk with her to the chair that was facing the mirror in the room that they shared.

"You know that I don't like makeup on my face," Anita says as she sits on the chair that Temisa pulled out in front of the room mirror.

"I know, but today is your lucky day. So you should look sweet when you're collecting your awards as the best graduating student today at our university. No more excuses from you; just do this for me, okay? It will make you smile throughout the whole of today and lighten your mood." Temisa says, and she opens one of her makeup kits and starts preparing her brush.

"Okay," Anita replied, and she stares at her beautiful yellow reflection that's displaying on the mirror while Temisa starts applying the beautiful brown powder to her face.

Temisa starts on Anita's eyelashes first, after that, she switches to working on Anita's cheeks and nose.

Applying the beautiful makeup powder to Anita's face, and as Temisa is through making Anita's face up, Anita is stunned by her new looks in the mirror, and she gasps, "Wow!"

Anita has never applied any makeup to her face before, and staring at her new reflection in the mirror, she's speechless. As she now understands why Temisa has so many boyfriends.

Temisa is a billionaire's daughter, and her father works for Benson Group, which is one of the biggest companies in their state.

The Benson's family is also one of the richest in their country. Anita has read about the Benson family online, and she wishes that she could get an application to work with the famous company. This reason why she studied her books and read day and night, just to graduate as one of the best students in her department.

Anita had thought of asking Temisa for her father's help for an application at Benson Group. But she knows if she did that, it might seem like she's trying to gain a favor that she did not merit, and make others see her as a gold digger or a lady who is selling out her body to men to gain favor from them.

So she thought against it and decided to submit her own application to the company by herself.

"All done now. Don't you see how you look so sweet in the mirror? Oh my god! I am the best makeup artist here on campus!" Temisa fans herself with her fingers to blow a breeze on her face.

Anita smiles at her sweetly and replies, "Don't overhype yourself too much because of me, girlfriend. Yes, you tried, but no, I still don't like makeup," Anita admitted.

"Tsk! Shut up. I am hoping that a handsome man will see you today and ask you out." Temisa giggles, everything to her is about a relationship. She's actually mean when it comes to relationships, as she changes her boyfriend every month like pants.

Temisa is in multiple relationships, and she doesn't care what her fellow ladies have to say.

She doesn't believe in love, and rather spends her time dating different men. Well, she never admits to sleeping with any of the men that she has gone out on a date with, as she only claims to snap pictures with them.

This was something difficult to believe, as Anita didn't believe her. Since Temisa is usually spotted with different men, some at the beach, some in a restaurant, and some in a clubhouse, taking different photos with her. Yet she claims she's still a virgin, after Anita also told her she is also a virgin.

Anita didn't believe Temisa, as she believes that a virgin is supposed to be calm and keep to herself, so no guy will use her. But Temisa dresses hot, wearing bum-shorts, crop tops, and all sorts of seductive and tempting wear.

Temisa is a dark-skinned beauty, with a sexy curve like Anita. But she isn't jealous of Anita's being light-skinned, as they're in the same department and also studied the same course which made them become best friends.

Anita is more intelligent than Temisa, while Temisa is the party-hard type.

"Let's go outside now. I am sure that most of our family members would have arrived for the party," Temisa says, as she quickly packs her remaining things into her box. Keeping her makeup kits, and she zips closed her box of clothes.

Temisa had rented the room where they're staying, so they stayed back most of the time in the room, even though the school is on holiday.

It is their final year to say goodbye. Anita drags all her boxes of clothes out, as she's already going back home after the awarding ceremony ends.

They step out to witness the university's final event and the awarding of the best graduating student.

Anita Baker is called and awarded a first-class degree and recognition for her academic excellence.

Temisa is all smiles as she sits in the crowd and claps for her best friend, who steps out from where she was seated in the crowd, and walked out to receive her awards.
