Mima's POV

“Now, shall we get started?” The moon goddess swooped her hands and black swirled around and the black soldiers appeared again, this time more strong than before.

“Now my dear, you need to look within… there is a new power in you. Your levitation, you can link it with something else. You just need to figure out what it is. What comes to your mind when you're fueled with anger? Think, my dear.”

I closed my eyes and imagined all the things that have happened to me. The death of my brother plays over and over again in my head. The death of my mum, how I was beaten over and over again by Stephanie. Everything…

Anger coursed my veins and my eyes snapped open.

“Good dear. You have unlocked it”.

I didn't feel any different but what did she mean?

The black soldiers immediately ran towards me. Their speed, faster than before. She must have upped their rank because I need to get strong faster.

One comes in view and I just instinctively slam my hand into his chest, he flies backwa

I don't need this from you right now. Just because you had minimal injuries compared to Rake had doesn't lessen what you went through. You just went through enough as he did. It wasn't your fault that they took you put first to put Rake at a disadvantage. More than being angry at you, I'm angry at Rake he didn't reach out to me when he could have.”Rake looked at me suspiciously. “ How would he be able to do that? You both haven't mated yet.” Confusion filled his expression.“That's true, we haven't but Rake gavee this necklace.” I pulled it out from under the neckline of my gown. “He said he would be able to communicate with me through it. He could have told me. I would have brought men to come and help you guys.” Beck nodded in understanding, amused at the necklace and then he smiled a little.

Mima's POV Did they need to make such a big fuss about all this? Rake isn't dead so what's the meaning of this huge celebration like someone's getting married or someone is having a child?I stopped one of the maids and asked what's going on just to be sure. “It's for the Luna's swearing in. I can't wait to meet her.” The bubbly little girl said and I just shook my head. I dismissed her and she walked away, going to carry another tray of flowers. Could this get any worse? Disgust filled me as I thought of how the elders were acting like I am here to fully take over Rake's place. What do they take me for? Some sort of airhead that they will use to project what they want on the pack? I wouldn't let them succeed in whatever foolery that they're trying too pull.I was about to walk over to one of the elders when I spotted a shadow in the corner of my eye that disrupts my course of thinking. I remembered that Kia is still holding on to my hands so I look down to him. “Why don't you g

The dining room was alive with laughter, the clinking of plates, and the faint melody of my mother humming as she set down another dish. The table was laid out perfectly, just like she always did, even for small family dinners. Except this one wasn’t a small family dinner, It was my birthday.“Nineteen,” my father said, his deep voice with a mix of pride as he poured himself a glass of wine. “Hard to believe you’re not a pup anymore.”“I haven’t been a pup for years, dad,” I replied, grinning at him as I reached for another slice of cake.“You’ll always be my pup,” he said, ruffling my hair before taking a seat at the head of the table.I rolled my eyes at him, stuffing my face with cake. Beside me, my brother, Damon stuffed his face with a cinnamon roll, ignoring the amused look my mother shot him. “If you’re going to eat like that,” my mother teased, “you might as well shift into your wolf. At least then you’d have an excuse.”Damon swallowed with a grin “The food’s too good, mum.

  • The Chosen One   Chapter 70: BREAKDOWN

MIMA'S POVI flinched turning away from the door as I walked into the room. I had to read it, my mind was clouded with one thought and one thought only, open the paper. In that moment, my fingers buckled tight as I fought back the urge to see what was actually written on it I couldn't give myself a moment of respite until I saw whatever it was. A small crinkling sound follows as I opened the paper and to my greatest surprise I saw, Nothing. The paper was empty, and I stared blankly into it until frustration washed over me. How would was I suppose to find who sent those pictures now? I frowned and let out a small shout in frustration, I had simply wasted my precious sanity on some blank paper. I hissed again and spun around immediately I heard the door creak open and then instinctively tucked the paper away by hurrying towards my bed and stuffing it underneath the mattress. Zahra was the first person to meet my eyes and it was clear that she understood what I've just done.
