Chapter Forty-One

“Has she been fading in and out of this all night?

“Yeah, since she was dragged down here by you fuckers.”

My eyes finally peel themselves open after refusing to budge for what felt like an eternity, but was apparently only a night.

My body hurt, my head was pounding, and I think I had a broken rib.

Someone was touching me, squishing me and poking at me.

“She was too injured to maintain her wolf form, so she definitley has a concussion bare minimum.”

“Makes sense since it looks like someone knocked her over the damn head.”

“I’m just trying to help.”

I look up to a slightly familiar face peering down at me.

“Who…” I try to sit up, but fail and let out a strangled moan of pain. “Killian?” My eyes search desperately for him, because right now I don’t trust anyone else. I groan a little when I can't find him.

“Do you remember me?” I focus back on the man in front of me, and I try to think.

“You were the doctor who warned me about the food, right?” I finally say groggily, trying
