Chapter 931

Author: Chweety
Peter glanced at Tania's expression but did not say anything further.

Half an hour later, Peter's car pulled up to the Lennon residence. The old butler, Lance Wagner, had stationed helpers outside to wait. When they saw Peter's car, one of them hurried back to announce, "Mr. Peter has returned!"

Peter drove directly into the courtyard and was the first to step out. Lance approached him with a polite smile, "Mr. Peter, welcome back. It's quite the timing. Mr. Jack only returned a short while ago as well!"

Peter smirked. "Is that so?" He walked to the back seat and opened the door. "Get out."

The butler blinked in surprise, not expecting to see the woman stepping out next to Peter. His eyes widened as he called out, "M-Ms. Tania!"

Tania stepped out, holding Brandon in her arms. She shifted uncomfortably, her arms tingling from holding him the entire drive.

Noticing this, Peter took Brandon from her arms. Tania opened her mouth to protest, "Give him back to me."

Improper?Tania laughed. "Sir Lennon, after all these years, it's surprising that your insults are still so outdated. You're completely out of touch!""You—" Xylos, who was flustered and red-faced, pointed a trembling finger at Tania. "Y-You ill-mannered woman, you're unfit to even step through the Lennon residence's door!"Then, turning to Peter, he added, "Didn't you hear me? I told you to sever ties with this woman. You've been doing well for three years, but now that she's back, you've lost your mind! Pete, you've truly disappointed me."He cast a reproachful glare at Caleb and his wife. "Look at the son you raised!"The couple, bound by respect due to Xylos' age, said nothing, though they cast warning looks at Peter. However, Peter, who was ignoring them, simply smiled. "Tania is my wife, not some improper woman. Honestly, if it were up to me, I wouldn't have brought her here at all. But since you insisted, here we are.""You… Are you trying to kill me? Xylos finally fainted for real. "Call a car, quickly! Lance!"Caleb and Ari rushed over, and the Lennons descended into chaos. As Ari passed by Tania, she cast a look of utter hatred. She was practically seething with the desire to tear her apart. She even raised her hand, attempting to slap Tania. "You wretched woman, you jinx!"However, Tania's gaze turned icy as she caught Ari's wrist in an iron grip, squeezing it firmly. "Wretched? Are you insulting yourself, Ari? Wait. Actually, I outrank you now. Aren't I basically your aunt now?""You… You…" Ari trembled with rage. She then cast a pleading look at Jack. "Uncle Jack, she…""Enough!"Peter grabbed Tania's hand and shoved Ari back, his intense gaze drilling into her. "Have you forgotten what I said? If anyone in the Lennons ever dared to touch Tania, I'd make you regret it.""Are you out of your mind?" Ari screamed. "Pete, I'm your sister! This wretched woman…""Tania is my wife, and I only have two family members—Tania a

"Love? Mr. Lennon, please don't joke with me. The only reason I got together with you was because Brandon needed a father, a complete family. There was never any real possibility for us!" Tania stated coldly."You saw it just now. Your father can't stand the sight of me. I practically send him into a fit every time he sees me. For his health, it's best if we end this relationship."With that, Tania shook off Peter's hand and strode out of the Lennon residence.Peter cast a cool glance at Jack and smirked. "Welcome back, Uncle Jack. Lennon Group is yours, and no one will take it from you."After delivering his message, Peter followed Tania out. Jack clenched his fists, his gaze dark and intense, brimming with fury as he stood away from the other Lennon family members. "Uncle Jack, Peter and Tania must be lying, right? You never married Tania, did you?" Ari asked, clinging to Jack's arm. Jack, however, shook her off in disgust. "You don't believe them, but do you doubt my words t

Peter glanced at Tania. "You probably didn't hear me clearly before. I said I only have two people I consider family now—you and our son, Brandon."As he spoke, he looked at Tania with intensity, and her heart began to pound rapidly. That feeling had actually been lingering ever since he made that statement. At that moment, she was taken aback, but given the circumstances, she tried her best to ignore Peter. Now, however, it was just the three of them in the car. There was only Brandon, who did not fully understand the situation, leaving no room for her to pretend.Peter continued watching her closely. When he noticed her obvious discomfort, he gave a slight smile. "Tania, give me another chance. You know it's true. There's never been anyone else but you."Tania turned her head toward the window. "But my relationship with Jack…""He could never really marry you," Peter said firmly. "A person like him would never make that commitment.""Even if that's the case, do you honestly thi

When Tania was with Peter before, Zara had treated her as though she were her own daughter. Tania had grown up without a mother's love. Even after returning to the Hoffmans, her relationship with Nancy never truly felt like that of a mother and daughter.By then, she was already an adult and married to Peter, which made it even harder for her to feel close to Nancy. However, it had been different with Zara. Zara had stayed at Five Elements Residence to care for Peter through all the years he was cast out by the Lennons. She gave up everything to be by his side, treating him as her own son.As Peter's wife, Tania received the same warmth from Zara, who spared no effort in fulfilling any request Tania made."Oh, Ms. Tania, I've missed you too!" Zara said, her voice thick with emotion. Tania had been gone for three years, and in that time, Peter had been noticeably dispirited. Most people could not see it, assuming Peter was strong and unbreakable. However, as the person who had been

Zara was thrilled when she learned Tania was coming back and rushed to the kitchen to start preparing a meal, eagerly awaiting her arrival. Peter wore a smile the entire time, making Tania almost wonder if he was under a spell. She knew Peter might be overthinking things. Sometimes, she genuinely wished he would not overanalyze everything. However, perhaps it was better to let things go as they would. If he misunderstood, then so be it.Soon, the car pulled up to Five Elements Residence. Tania got out with Brandon, and after parking the car, Peter joined them. "Let me carry Brandon," he offered."No need. Brandon can walk on his own," Tania declined and set Brandon down. "Brandon has grown up now. He's a little man and doesn't need to be carried all the time. Isn't that right, Bran?"Brandon nodded earnestly. "I know that Mommy is tired!"Tania felt a touch of pride and smiled warmly, but her expression shifted when Brandon added, "But Daddy isn't tired. Daddy says he likes me. Da

As soon as Brandon heard Tania's words, his big, bright eyes sparkled like stars. "Hello, Grandma! I'm Brandon, Daddy and Mommy's son!"His soft, sweet voice was absolutely adorable, melting Zara's heart completely. "Ah, what a good child. Brandon, was it? I love you very much!" Zara gently squeezed Brandon's tiny hand, her eyes filling with tears."This is wonderful. Truly wonderful." She felt that even if she passed away right then, she would be utterly content."Grandma, why are you crying? Don't cry!" Brandon stretched out his little hand to wipe Zara's tears. "Mommy says when you're happy, you should smile. Grandma, don't cry. Is Daddy bullying you?"I'll stand up for you, Grandma. Daddy says you're his mom, so it wouldn't be right for Daddy to bully you. Look, I don't bully my mommy!"Both Tania and Zara burst into laughter at Brandon's innocent words. Zara wiped away her tears, smiling. "No, your daddy treats me very well—very well, indeed. I'm crying because I'm too happy.

Tania wanted to say something more, but when she saw Zara laughing happily with Brandon in the living room, she held back. "I came here with Brandon just to have a meal. You know that," she said.Peter looked at Tania, his gaze lingering on her, making her feel uncomfortable. Thankfully, Zara noticed them. "Mr. Peter, Ms. Tania, why are you still standing there? Is it because you couldn't find Ms. Tania's slippers? I put them in the shoe cabinet, just as you asked, Mr. Peter. After you mentioned Ms. Tania was back. I even washed them. They're very clean!""We found them, Zara!" Tania forced a smile. She quickly put on the slippers and moved past Peter into the living room.Peter watched her retreating figure for a long moment before finally looking away. There was still time. He believed she would come back one day. He had all the time in the world, so he would wait.Zara chatted with Brandon for a while. "Brandon, are you hungry? I made lots of tasty food! The distance was not far, but dragging Sean along had drained nearly all of Liliana's strength. She panted, struggling to keep him upright. Sean's voice came through, and another girl's voice was in the background. "Are you guys drinking?""I...""Do you realize you're not old enough to drink? And it's so late now. You should be at home, not out drinking!" Sean sounded serious, and Liliana almost lost her cool. "No, Sean, I...""Where are you? Tania's ruckus drew the attention of several onlookers.Worried about bumping into someone they knew, Liliana quickly ushered Tania away. They had barely made it to the staircase when a melodious voice floated in from behind, "Sean, we owe our fun at The Majestic Lounge to your popularity!""There's no need for that!"Liliana froze, steadying Tania with one hand and leaning on the wall with the other, using Tania's body as a shield. "A friend gave me this.” She showed off a shiny gold card. "He said it's time for me to see more of the world!"Liliana grabbed the shiny gold card, and her eyes widened in shock. "The Majestic Lounge?" She stared at Tania, puzzled. "How did you get this?"Not just anyone could get their hands on a gold card from The Majestic Lounge. Most people would not know anything about the place, but as Charles's sister, Liliana was in the know. The Majestic Lounge was one of Charles's private businesses and a secret to most outside the family. Layla had a gold card and often hung out there with her friends.Lil

Charles was unusually quiet for a moment, his finger pressed to his lips as if deep in thought. "Are you really ready to walk away from the Smith family's huge estate? You know your dad is the only one holding it up right now, and no one even knows where your fourth uncle is!""Why are you so worried about me? Don't forget I have a brother. If the Jones family won't make room for him, he can just join the Smith family!"While everyone else was trying to claim their piece of the pie, Sean was looking for a way out.Charles knew that once Sean made up his mind, he would not budge. She glanced at Sean and saw he was not going to step in. She took a deep breath and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't know. You never told me, so I thought your birthday was a few days away!""You..." Layla was taken aback by Liliana's response. She scowled. "Didn't you come back just today before leaving again? I thought you were getting me a birthday present!" Layla bit her lip, looking sad.
