Fiancé?

They arrived at the luxurious five-star hotel where the event was taking place. A driver opened the passenger door for Danial and Kimberly.

"Please."

Kimberly got out of the car first, followed by Danial. The driver closed the door once more and got into his car to park it.

"Your hand," said Danial.

"Umm, what?" asked Kim, who didn't understand. Kimberly noticed Danial's code and directed a sharp gaze towards his arm. Kimberly hesitantly held Danial's arm.

They entered the lobby and proceeded towards the event hall room.

They entered the hall, and almost all eyes were on the two of them.

"That's the head of the Gonemanus family."

"That's the son of Regan Danial Wiratama."

"Really very handsome, as rumored."

"He's even more handsome in person than he is on television."

"Really, like a Greek god."

Everyone was whispering clearly, and that made Kimberly feel uncomfortable.

"By the way, who is the woman next to him?"

"I don't know. Which bitch managed to seduce Mr. Danial?"

"But as far as I know, Mr. Danial does not have a lover."

"Welcome, Mr. Danial," greeted the host as he approached Danial and Kimberly. "Thank you for taking the time to come to my daughter's reception."

"You're welcome, Mr. William."

"Belinda, come here," called the man named William.

"Yes Dad...."

"Meet this young Mr. Wiratama, who is the head of the Gonemanus family," said William.

The woman, named Belinda, smiled at Danial with a mesmerized look.

"Belinda Halmet," said the woman, extending her hand towards Danial.

Danial only gave her a glance. The man welcomed Belinda's hand briefly without saying anything more. William chuckled and felt pleased with Danial's presence at his party.

'This handsome man is really very attractive. It makes me want him,' Belinda thought.

"By the way, who is this woman beside you?" asked William.

Kimberly thought irritably, 'Have I been a ghost ever since?'

"She's-" Danial glanced at Kimberly. "My fiancé."

Kimberly widened her eyes at Danial's words. She didn't realize her mouth was open.

"Engagement? How come I didn't even hear you had a girlfriend?" William exclaimed with a disappointed face. He thought he could make Danial his son-in-law. There was no perfect son-in-law for his family other than the talented young man before him.

"I'm not someone who always reveals my lover's figure," Danial replied, inviting Kimberly to another part by embracing her waist.

"What do you mean by recognizing me as your fiancé?" asked Kimberly in a whisper.

"You agreed to accompany me to this party. So don't argue anything and just follow my rules," Danial said, making Kimberly gape.

What an arrogant and pushy man!

"Wow, are my eyes getting myopic or cataracts?" someone exclaimed, prompting Danial to turn to face the source of the sound.

"This is really Mr. Danial Christiano Wiratama, right?" exclaimed the man, who was none other than Marcello. He was seen with Devan, his cousin.

"Are you coming too?" asked Danial.

"Of course. After all, I am the managing director of Emmanuel's company," Marcello said, and Danial simply nodded.

"Who is this woman? She's very beautiful; where did you find her?" asked Marcello.

"None of your business."

"No wonder Dimitri said that Mr. Danial has changed a lot. Now I know why he changed," Devan teased.

"Stop gossiping. He's a lawyer in GM," Danial replied.

"I know. And I'll be Mr. Danial's lawyer at heart soon enough," Marcello chuckles.

Danial could only glare at her. Kimberly was completely speechless. The man standing beside her was truly a mysterious person.

Now Danial and Kimberly are in the car. They are both silent, staring out the car window.

"What is your home address?" Danial asked.

"Just take me back to the office," Kimberly said.

"It's late at night, so just tell me where your home address is. I don't want to argue," Daniall said, making Kimberly sigh. The man in front of her was really an arrogant, pushy, and authoritarian person.

Kimberly mentioned the address. Danial typed it in on the touchscreen attached to the car's wall.

"Why didn't you tell me before that you wanted to make me a sacrifice?" Kimberly inquired, prompting Danial to raise an eyebrow at her.

"I'm not going to be formal anymore because it's not work time. So I'll talk to you casually," Kimberly said.

Kimberly felt uncomfortable being stared at by Danial; it made her heart beat very fast.

"Why don't you answer my questions? Why do you have to claim me as your fiancé?" asked Kimberly.

"Why do you already have a husband?" asked Danial.

"No, I'm not. I'm not married."

"Then do you have a lover?" asked Danial.

"No."

"Then what's the issue? Recognizing a single woman as my fiancé? Do you feel materially disadvantaged?" Danial     asked.

"N-no. Yes, but still, I'm being bullied," Kimberly exclaimed.

"Bully? When?" asked Danial.

They were all present in that hall. They looked at me like they wanted to skin me and kill me violently," Kimberly said.

"Are you a horror movie victim? I imagine things like that a lot," Danial said with a smile.

"What's so funny. That's how I feel. You don't feel it because you never pay attention to your surroundings," Kimberly said.

"Are you nagging me right now?" Danial made a serious face.

"No, I don't. I have no right to be like that." Kimberly eventually gave up trying to talk to the big lord. It was really annoying.

Soon, the passenger door of the car opened.

"It has arrived at your house, Miss. Please," he said.

Kimberly carried her bag and was about to get out of the car in a bit of a huff. Her foot accidentally stepped on the hem of her dress, causing her to fall down and move away from Danial in front of her. Their gazes were locked on each other, with both hands clinging to Danial's chest.

"Is this how you say goodbye?" asked Danial.

"I didn't mean to," Kimberly exclaimed, getting up from her position, but Danial held her waist, drawing their gazes to each other and almost touching their noses.

"Then I will not hesitate to tell my fiancé," Danial whispered, bringing his face closer until their noses touched. The woman closed her eyes tightly enough to make Danial smile. He enjoyed teasing her.

Danial blew on Kimberly's lips, making her open her eyes to meet his cold, piercing gaze.

"Get rid of your perverted thoughts," Danial said, making Kimberly's face red like a boiled crab.

Wordlessly, the woman rushed out of the car, holding back her embarrassment and irritation.

"What a bummer, Mr. Cold! I'll get back to you later!" grumbled Kimberly in annoyance.

In the car, Danial could only smile at Kimberly's charming and adorable expression. Now he's starting to like teasing his beautiful lawyer.
