"Mr. Vance Lawrence?" exclaimed Kimberly at the sight of a middle-aged man with long, messy graying hair.

For some reason, seeing the condition of the man in front of her like that, Kimberly's solar plexus felt very painful. A drop of unbidden tears escaped from her eyes. The woman hurriedly turned away while wiping her tears.

Vance walked up to Kimberly with a confused look.

"Who are you?" asked the man who had just sat down opposite Kimberly.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Vance. I'm Kimberly; I'm the lawyer who will be handling your case," Kimberly handed Vance her business card.

The man accepted it, then looked at the business card.

"Why do you want to work on my case, which has been closed from five years ago?" asked Vance, looking at Kimberly with a confused look.

"I feel that your case is unfinished. So, Mr. Vance, are you willing to agree to have your case reopened? I'm filing an appeal with the prosecutor's office for your case."

"You will lose. And it would be a loss to take on my case
