The night was getting late and Kimberly was still awake on the king-size bed. She looked to her side, where a handsome man was sleeping with his back to her. She remembered Danial's answer to her question.

"Are you willing to be that someone, Dan?"

Kimberly's question now left Dan silent. Their gazes were still locked on each other.

"Yes, if I can indeed pull you out of that darkness. Besides, now that we're friends, we can help each other, right?"
