Dash POV

“If you’re not going to stand by my side, don’t pull me back,” I say and Jagger shakes his head before I open the door to the small restaurant where the three bastards are meeting. I enter the place and the smell of garlic invades my nostrils, forcing me to stop breathing for a few seconds before I adjust to the smell.

I walk straight to the table in the back, ignoring the waitress who tried to greet me. As soon as their eyes land on me, George tries to stand up but I shake my head and he sits back down and Frank’s eyes meet mine and then Amber’s fly to me and she bites her lower lip.

“Don’t try to walk away,” I say, pulling a chair from another table and ignoring the people who started to complain about my move and I straddle the chair as I place it in front of me. My front pressed against the back of the chair and my elbow resting on the top of the back as I watch the three of them staring at me. I can almost see the wheels turning inside their heads.

Dash POVDragging Amber by the hair into the holding cell felt better than it should have . I never thought I would hurt a woman, but she knows where Amber was and she decided to stay quiet. She chose to keep her fucking mouth shut. “You’re hurting me. I am bleeding. What are you doing?” She screams while I throw her inside the cell and Jagger stands next to me. His eyes are focused on Amber, and I can see the anger in them. I can see the frustration in him. “You’re a fucking animal! When I get out of here, you’re going to regret doing this to me,” she shouts and Jagger laughs loudly and her eyes move from me to him.“You are not getting out of here, sweetheart,” Jagger says as he takes a step towards her, wanking her at arm and sitting her on the single chair in the middle of the room. Her hair is messy and her dress is covered in blood. She looks like the slut she is and I am gonna make her pay for whatever her involvement in this is. “I am not telling you anything,” she huffs and

Trying to escape seemed to be a stupid idea because now I am here.“I want to talk to her,” I hear a woman say and the door opens. She is tall, her hair is short but I can’t see all the features.“Did you have to make her look like this?” I hear the woman say. I can’t see anyone with her and I can’t hear anyone else. She sits on the edge of the bed, resting one hand on my leg, and I immediately move away from her.If I have learned something since being here, is I can’t trust anyone. “I am not going to hurt you,” she says, and I scrunch my nose. Dash POV“Okay, I’m here,” I say, cleaning my hands in a piece of fabric I had hanging out of my back pocket. I look at Jagger and I can see hope in his eyes. Wyatt enters the room after us and I grind my teeth as I watch who follows him.“Seriously? You’re bringing her in here now?” I bark at him and he looks at me, crossing his arms as Sandrine steps aside and walks to me. Her eyes focused on me and when she stands in front of me, the need to kill the bitch was intense.“I asked you all here,” Travis says and I look at him, raising a single eyebrow and Jagger moves to stand next to me while Wyatt stands next to Sandrine. “Parisi is involved in this,” Travis says and I let out a laugh, moving to hold my gun and point at the slut, but Travis stops me with his next words. “Not this one, her father.”“What?” I let out and

Dash POVI open my eyes and blink several times, trying to adjust my eyes to the bright light coming from the flames. Shit. I immediately sit and when I move, a sharp pain in my arm makes me stop moving. “Boss,” I hear several voices shouting as they all pull Wyatt and Jagger away from the flames. Two arms lift me and I allow them to. Was it a dream or was it real? The siren keeps screaming around us while several voices shout and I look around to see the flames spreading through the garden. Wyatt’s hands are on his head as he looks around, realizing what just happened. “We were fucking played,” Jagger lets out while he holds his ribs and I nod. “Frank was in with them?” Jagger asks, mostly to himself, and I shrug before I run inside the building, ready to retrieve some folders before the fire gets to the building. “What the fuck was that?” Travis asks as he sees me entering his office and before I have a chance to explain, the fire is extinguished and I take a deep breath sitting

Grace POVSitting at the dinner table feels weird. I rest my forearm on the linen tablecloth, trying to stop my hands from shaking, and look at the plate in front of me. The food looks amazing, but I don’t want to eat anything. I don’t know what they have put on the food. What if there’s poison?“You can eat sweetheart, if we wanted you dead you would be dead by now,” Lorenzo Parisi says. “You are worth more alive than dead. I can’t say the same thing about your dad though,” he adds and I frown as I look up to look into his eyes. Why is he mentioning my dad right now?I grab the fork and slowly move it over the food, stabbing a small piece of cucumber and bring it to my mouth. The explosion of flavors in my mouth with the seasoning almost makes me moan, but I keep my mouth shut. “I know you are vegetarian, so I thought you would like the salads,” he says, and I nod slightly as I eat a little more food. My stomach is thankful I am feeding it and slowly I grab the glass in front of me w

Grace POVI shake my head slightly trying to keep myself in check, I can’t believe this is happening to me, “What can I say, you are only collateral damage,” he says shrugging and I stand up the chair falling back with a thud and his eyes move to mine as he rests back on his chair still holding his knife and fork. The man hasn’t stopped eating since this entire thing. I hold the knife in my trembling hand as I raise it pointing it at him. His eyebrows arch as he looks at me, shaking his head. “What do you think you’re going to accomplish with that?” He asks and I look at him, shaking my head as the tears roll down my cheek. “Put the knife down, principessa,” he says, and I shake my head violently. “No, you’re an animal, you’re a criminal,” I say and he laughs again, nodding. “Yes, I am, and I had my eye on you. You are way too pretty to be with only one man,” Lorenzo says, and I frown as he stands, shoving his hands into his pants pockets. His large belly hanging over his belt with

Dash POV“This way,” Priest says as we enter the living room and it’s completely empty. “Clear,” he shouts through the communication system as we walk up the stairs, but something catches my eyes when we move. “What is that?” I let out as I walk to the wall where a small red handprint is marked. I look at the painting as Priest, Prank, and Storm keep an eye out. “Help me out,” I say as Storm starts touching the painting at the same time as me. “This is a secret path,” I announce and Priest curses under his breath. “Jagger, keep an eye out in the back. There are secret paths inside the house that most likely lead them out,” I announce, and I don’t wait for my brother’s reply when I open the path and step inside. It’s dark as fuck and there’s no light at all, but luckily, our masks have night vision. I turn it on, stepping inside, but a hand stops me and I look back to see Priest shaking his head. “That is fucking suicide, brother,” he says and I pull my arm away from his grip, stepp

Dash POV“Where is Grace?” Marie says as soon as she enters the waiting room where we were told to wait for news of Grace. “Where is she? How is she?” Marie keeps bombarding me with questions and before I am able to reply Jagger replies. “She’s inside, the doctors are with her,” Jagger lets out and her eyes move from me to Jagger and then back to me. She shakes her head as tears spill down her cheek and I pull her into an embrace. I know the woman used to hate me, but I also know she has come to like me. “She is going to be okay,” I whisper against the top of her head as she nods slightly. “She is a fighter, and she is going to pull through,” I say, trying to convince the both of us. I know Grace is fighting. The doctor told us they had to give her blood and take care of open wounds. “How did you find her?” Marie asks and I shake my head as she pulls away from me and her eyes meet mine. Her eyes are a reflection of fear and tiredness. “Where was she? Why isn’t the police here?” She

Jagger POVEntering the elevator, I press my key card to the reader and the doors close immediately. I hate sharing the elevator with people, so I like to come early, before everyone is supposed to start. Today is a bad day for me. It’s been ten years today since my life changed and made me the man I am today. The elevator doors open and Janet looks at me with a wide smile. I look at her, shaking my head slightly as I walk to her desk and she offers me a cup of black coffee. “Good morning boss,” she says and I raise an eyebrow, looking at her and her shoulders slump as she looks at me. “What? Can’t I try to make your day a little better? Today is your dark day after all,” she says and I nod slightly, offering her a small smile. I don’t smile a lot lately, I don’t have a lot of reasons to smile, anyway. “Every day is a dark day,” I correct Janet, and she crosses her arms in front of her chest giving me her sassy attitude and I nod “Thank you for the coffee,” I tell her and her entire

Dash POVStanding at the altar waiting for Grace to walk up to me is making me more nervous than I have ever been in my life. Waiting for her to walk to me in her wedding dress, ready to make me her husband, is the weirdest feeling ever. The past year I have spent showing Grace how much I love her and how important she is to me. The Bridal March starts playing and I look at my brother, who is standing next to me while I adjust my jacket. Fiddling with my hands seems to be helping with the anxiety of seeing Grace.Everyone stands up and then I see Grace walking towards me next to her mother. The veil is covering her face, but I can see her smile underneath. Once they stand in front of me, Marie kisses me on the cheek before offering me her daughter’s hand. I hold Grace’s hand, bringing it to my lips before I remove the veil from her face and her eyes shine with happiness, but it soon disappears when her eyes move from me to my brother standing behind me. “What happened to Jagger?” Gr

Dash POVOne year laterOpening my eyes as I feel the sweat dripping down my face and my heart beating fast makes me sit up straight immediately. I look around the room, remembering I am in Jagger’s house. Today is my wedding day and Grace came up with the whole shit. Dash POVI open my eyes and immediately regret doing so. My mouth is dry and my vision is blurred. I move my hands up and down my face, trying to wake up, but the headache makes me flinch. I groan in frustration and when I move; I feel something next to me in bed. No, no… Fear strikes and I stand still, not wanting to look at how much I fucked up last night. Getting drunk is one thing, but hooking up and ending up fucking a random girl is an entirely different kind of fuck up. A fuck up, I will not forgive myself. Gathering the courage to look after taking several breaths, I move slightly to see Grace sleeping next to me. I look up and then look at my side again, sitting up on the bed in one movement. Not believing my eyes, I smile, but at the same time freak out a little. How the fuck did I end up in bed with Grace?I look around the room, not recognizing it, and then look down at my body to find a pair of green boxer shorts I have never seen in my life. What the fuck? She has gone through so much, I hate putting another thing on her back. Mom looks like she has aged years in the last few days. The betrayal, the divorce, my dad’s death, and my kidnapping have taken a huge chunk of her life away. “Sorry Mom,” I say, sitting

I place my hands on her neck and her eyes meet mine as I caress her skin lightly with my thumb as I shake my head. “I am nothing like that fucker, I don’t traffic women, I don’t rape women, I don’t force them to do things they don’t want, and I sure as hell don’t hurt innocent women,” I add and Grace’s eyes widen again as her hands fly to touch mine.
