Ameera stepped out onto the empty road, the silence deafening. The city was usually bustling with activity, but now it was as if the world had stopped turning.

She looked around, trying to find any signs of life, but the only thing she could hear was the sound of her own footsteps echoing against the concrete. The echo was so strange that it sent a shiver down her spine.

As she walked, she noticed a sleek Range Rover parked on the side of the road. A voice called out to her, "Ameera, come here."

She looked around but saw no one. "Who's there?" she asked, her voice trembling.

"It's me," the voice replied. "Get into the car. I'll explain everything."

Ameera hesitated, her heart pounding. Who was this person and why were they calling out to her? But her curiosity got the better of her, and she slowly walked towards the car.

As she opened the door, she saw a man sitting in the driver's seat. He had a kind face and warm eyes that put her at ease.
