Kaylar stepped out of the sleek black Bolt car, grateful for her decision to order a ride instead of driving.

The meeting was crucial, and she needed to arrive focused and composed.

Paying the driver, she walked up the steps of the luxurious hotel and entered its grand lobby.

As Kaylar made her way to the reception desk, a suited waiter approached her. "Ms Harper, your private room is ready. Follow me, please." The waiter led her down a hallway adorned with elegant artwork and chandeliers, eventually stopping in front of a door.

With a nod of appreciation, Kaylar went into the private room. Her gaze immediately fell upon the man seated there, the general manager of Black inc, James Johnson.

She extended her hand for a handshake, a professional smile on her face.

As their hands clasped together, however, Kaylar felt a strange sensation.

Mr Johnson's hand lingered longer than necessary, his finger softly caressing the back of her hand in an unexpectedly sensual manner.

Wayne left Jason's room, his mind in turmoil. The weight of his mother’s venomous words lingered, but he forced himself to focus on the present. As he stepped into the hallway, he called out to the police officers. “Get Meghan out of there,” he ordered, his voice cold and detached. Without waiting for a response, he made his way back to Kaylar’s room. Inside the ward, it was quiet, almost eerily so.
