Chapter 165~ Climbing the ladder

Jake clenched his hands into fists. He gulped, the huge lump in his throat refusing to go down. He thought Quinn was willing to be with him despite knowing that he had a child with someone else.

“What are you saying, Quinn?” He asked in a hoarse voice. Quinn's bedroom suddenly felt too small for Jake. His heart raced and he could feel his stomach knotting with nerves.

“I’m saying go and be with your family, Jake. I’m not a homebreaker… I know it’s only a matter of time before the two of you get back together for the sake of your child. So, I’m doing you a favor here,” Quinn replied.
