I put down my phone after replying to her text. What were we going to talk about? I didn't know what to expect from Rebecca these days.

My phone buzzed again and I picked it up, expecting it to be her but Annie, out of the blues, said she wanted to come over.

What the fuck did she want now? Didn't I tell her to stay away from my house these days? Especially when she was literally itching to tell Rebecca the truth.

I pressed the dial and waited for her to pick up.

"Miss me-"

"No," I frowned. "No and no. Stay away from my house."

"Don't be so grumpy, Oliver. Rebecca must be traumatised. She needs a woman to speak with."

"Certainly not you," I got up from and grabbed my suit jacket, ignoring the documents and calling it a day. Victor would have to deal with the rest for today.

"I don't want you anywhere near my property.”

"That's not the right attitude to marriage. It'll be our property-"

"I mean it-"

"Fuck you, Oliver. You'd cast me away after all I've done for you?”
